Finally they have joined hands 🤝❤️ This is going to more badass for the sinners but then I am hoping for a happy ending for the leads (please writers 🙏🏼)
I felt much like you and even commented about it to some commenters. However, after I read The End of Eternity…
I have had other friends on MDL who recommended this drama to me share the same thing, when I pointed out that I cannot get into this drama cause I cannot understand this romance and the FL's delivery of it. But then if this is the case - then the screenplay is wrong, because the drama does not focus on this confusion, rather it is taking majority of the audience to focus on the "cute moments, the heart fluttering kisses and situations, the good looks of the couple"
I admit I have not completed the drama but I have seen majority of it - and no where are these things being questioned by any character, to the point that it also makes the audience aware.
In your other comment you have mentioned that "Hollywood has been using movies and TV shows as a way to promote social change and question the morality of something for years. Why can't Asian dramas do the same?" I think there are Asian dramas that do question and promote some social changes - just that this drama probably is not good example.
I usually do not watch C-dramas, cause somehow am not able to get into it. RESET has been the only exception, so much so that it has made to my Top 10 dramas of all time.
This drama has always been highly recommended on MDL and social media - and while I was not truly excited by the story summary - I decided to give it a try myself. I tried and tried multiple times to watch but ended up putting on hold and finally dropping it some months ago.
Today again I thought of picking it up and came across your review and you've rightly pointed out everything that I have felt this drama is lacking and therefore I am unable to understand the hype. Especially the FL's baby voice+acting plus the fact that how is this considered an epic romance, where all they had were cute moments/kisses without the deep conversation or anything else. They just randomly thought and fell in love - seemed very weird to me.
And going by the comments seems like am not the only one - there are a lot of people who felt happy watching it, but then it does not connect with all due to some fundamental weak points in story and acting.
Agreed with your review. This drama was a hype, but tried watching a few ep and had to put it on hold as something…
Thank you, Megumi for taking the time and reading the review. Yes, I was about to drop it but managed to pull through. It is something am trying this year to not drop many dramas unless they are extremely horrible.
Good that you have put it on hold, so maybe sometime in future you can try it. But yes, for now not worth the time and effort - there are other better dramas imo!
Question for Ep 5 - scene where the White Tigers are chasing the Queen's carriage and use those hooks to slow it down. Mu Gol - chops off the top of the carriage where the hooks were caught, why couldn't he just chop off the ropes instead?
It would have been easier to cut the 4-5 ropes, than the wood :/
completely agree! He's so good and the way he carries himself, just legendary. Action man in The Fiery Priest.…
Save Me has intrigued me in terms of the premise/story summary - but then I really do not like Seo Yea Ji 🙈 which is why I never saw the show. Does Go Jun have good screentime - then I can think about watching the show for the story and him 🥹
completely agree! He's so good and the way he carries himself, just legendary. Action man in The Fiery Priest.…
I really want to see that dance now - if you have the video link, please do share! Also, I checked out your profile and it has the fight and walk scenes from Save Me #swoon!
Go Jun is such a FREAKING AMAZING AHJUICCY Actor! #fangirling and #drooling like crazy! 😍
Binging this show non-stop and on Ep 11 - but I had to stop and write this for him. He is playing the character of detective so well - bringing in such diverse expressions and emotions - that intense gaze as he looks for the truth, the empathy towards ML for the obvious injustice, cleverly trapping the wrong-doers/liars, being sarcastic and funny and the action! #swoooon ❤️ I am watching it for the mystery to unfold - but mainly for this guy - who has played the detective with such finesse.
This is technically the 2nd time I am watching him - first time being Misty, but the range this character has is much more. Totally swoon-worthy character and actor ❤️ Looking to finish this drama and look for his other works in future - definitely an actor to lookout for!
Also it was funny how FL was just trying to have a baby through different means, then she met a guy who loved…
Really curious - who does she end up with? I have not watched the show and frankly not in the mood for it. But really want to know who out of the 3 did she go with - or did she not choose any one of them?
HAHAHA HERE FOR THE SAME REASON, I'M OBSESSED WITH JAE YOUNG TOO
High-five, fellow fangirl! 🙌🏼 Hahah, hope you are enjoying the shows. Also like I mentioned - do watch Running Man, if you get a chance. Overall that variety show is always good - and with Jae Young in it, well you'll love it when you see it :)
Personally, I have not liked PSH in the shows I have seen her so far cause I think she was stereotyped as the…
Hmm - sorry that you disliked it, but really hoping the next one that you watch turns out better - from start to finish! :)
I know some of the comments/reviews can seem biased or not something for you - but can be used a reference. Of course the ultimate decision lies with us to watch or drop.
Personally, I have not liked PSH in the shows I have seen her so far cause I think she was stereotyped as the…
Understood - Lets keep that matter aside. 🤗🤝
Ever-growing dropped list is something even am guilty of and I blame those shows that seemed promising initially and then turned out to be a disaster. Really hoping it is not the case with this one #fingers-crossed 🤞🏼
While personally am enjoying the show - but yes I too feel Ep 5-6 dipped a bit especially with how some characters are being written. But am hoping that this one picks from here and finishes well. Sorry to hear that you are not able to get into this one - maybe give it a pause and let it complete, and then if the comments/reviews are good, you can choose to come back to it. That is usually how I do it - rather than dropping it altogether 😄

Thanks for clarifying - but your comment "You call this decent? Damn low standards" seemed to be pointed me and what I shared as another opinion on the same character/actor.
And again - "you're easily satisfied, when the acting is not that good" - You do not know what easily satisfies me or what I consider good acting, just like I do not know for you. But if you see other comments - there is a mixed opinion on her acting so both our opinions are valid even if they are different.
I just don't think it is nice to push that only your opinion is right and therefore whoever does not agree with you has "low standards or is easily satisfied"
Let's keep the "judgement" with Justicia and group 🤣

It is my opinion on it - which am entitled to. To me it seems decent. But then yes you can feel it being not up to par, which I respect - just shared my views as part of a discussion.
and FYI - did you know you can do so without labelling anyone's opinions as low/high/medium standards 🤣
Her acting is so bad in this show. Glaring all the time and just opening your eyes really wide to look "scary".…
Personally, I have not liked PSH in the shows I have seen her so far cause I think she was stereotyped as the feeble, helpless poor gal - no wonder there are so many memes about her as well for it (Think Heirs)
In fact this is the first time I am seeing her in such a role - and while what she is doing like you said is not the greatest, but some of the smirks, side eyes and that taunting gaze of "I am above than you" is really working well. Also the fight scenes.
Again it will not go down in history as the best portrayal of such a character that blends glamour/sarcasm/action/supremacy all in one but then it is a difficult character to portray in the first place. Not a crazy fan of hers, but I still feel PSH is doing a DECENT - if not good/great job.
Watched till ep 6I think there are many villans and many stories present in the drama.Potential is high.Hope they…
I am not a big fan of multiple season - cause the wait is so long, and then it diminishes the excitement for later seasons unlike S1. Therefore hoping they make the most of these 14 episodes and deliver a good finish to all stories per episode, building up to the main plot being unraveled.
Okay, so we're almost halfway into the series, and so far it has been going well. Every episode has been a hit,…
Hey Letty - I totally get your rant on Han Daon. While I was fangirling in the initial episode because I am seeing the actor for the first time, but I think all the reasons that you have shared are valid. But I'd like to see it in a different perspective.
Usually in such scenarios - you'd expect the human and the immortal character to team up and solve cases together. Or have lovely banters, but still have some sort of teaming up which eventually becomes a romance in the end. I am taking reference from shows like Tomorrow, My Demon etc.
But I think in Han Daon's case the writers forgot to give that sense of compromise and teaming up. At the moment his self-righteousness seriously doesn't seem justified just because he is a cop and going by the books. Rather it looks a little foolish. Maybe the writers are going with this flow and in the next half of the show will make his character sympathize with what Justicia is doing, and maybe team up with the demons. Though I wish they would have started early on rather than making him a rigid character - which obviously seems slightly unlikeable.
I really hope they develop the character better - and even Justicia tries to open up to him so that they come to the same page. Right now because of their rigid personalities, even the heart palpitation (sign that she has human feelings - maybe love) seems misplaced - how can romance bloom, or ML saying he wants to understand FL - it seems quite weird overall.
I am loving the series - but yes these are some of the things that are making it a little less than perfect. I hope it improves in the latter half of the series. 🤞🏼
I love how Ep 5-6 had some references to one of my favourite movies, Primal Fear Did anyone else see the similarity ? Loving this show, and this subtle nod to a classic movie.
Want to know what others think!
