Have you seen him in Vigilante yet? I absolutely loved him in that(and its been renewed for a 2nd season😁)
OMG! I have been holding myself from binging Vigilante even though it has the oh-so-amazing Yoo Ji Tae, Nam Joo Hyuk and of course Lee Joon Hyuk ❤️ Was holding it off - cause I knew one season is not enough and there is bound to be a second given the good reviews it has received. Plus the story is something that am always eager to watch.
I think you missed in your comment whether you absolutely LOVE or HATED him - I still don't know what his role is, but am assuming that you LOVED him in it 😂 I was going to wait for Season 2 - but I think given how much am focusing on LJH, might as well start it soon!
Ep 9-10 has left me confused ..... Firstly am not sure if the version we have been shown is the truth or the parents still have some hidden mystery. If someone's read Verity by Colleen Hoover - they'd understand.
Secondly - I feel the plot and constant flashbacks so late in the show has made it lose its initial charm. Like am still watching the show to get to the bottom of the mystery - but it is not exciting anymore. I should be crying that there are only 2 episodes left, but am rather glad that there are only 2 episodes left and I can be done with this show.
Third - one thing is for sure, Sun Hui the kid is a wayyyyyyy better actor that the adult version. Why does she only have one pained expression?
Overall, they could done so much more...but I think the makers got lost as well trying to create a masterpiece and finishing as above average.
I have been meaning add 365 days in my list. would you highly recommend it? thanks in advance!
Absolutely, you must! Like @kalenahenden shared if you like mystery thrillers it is definitely a great watch. I have personally rated it 9.5 - so while not a life changing masterpiece but very close 😉
While the Korean society maybe harsh, but there are stories of celebs in cases of drug abuse, recovery or even suspect - making a comeback in the home country (Ju Ji Hoon, GD, TOP etc). And while you have shared that Hollywood has been liberal, the comeback road has not been easy as there were challenges and public skeptism (RD Jr, Britney, Lindsay Lohan). Citing just one of them here: https://drugabuse.com/blog/robert-downey-jr-s-incredible-comeback-from-addiction/
No law and order in any place in the world will have unanimous acceptance for it. There will always be two sides and people will be divided. Also it is a comparison - if Korea's laws seem ancient to you, perhaps they will seem advanced in comparison to another nation. Similarly what may seem like liberal laws in US, would be ancient in comparison to another nation. To call one right and another wrong, is not correct - cause there are a lot of underlying factors, that determine why a law is there, and then again people will always be divided on whether it helps them or not.
Yoo Ah In is one of my fav actors, and I believe in his talent. While this case might be a setback for his career momentarily, and as a fan I will not get to see him - it is indeed saddening and frustrating. At this point, thus, I can hope that he keeps strong and well during his sentence - and I will wait for him to return and resume his work, in Korea and/or globally.
I have been very vocal about the issue of Lee Sun Kyun - how he was hounded by media before even any judgement could be made for his case, that made him take his own life. We cannot change the past but rather work that such an incident does not repeat with any one else.
Yoo In Ah is one of my favorite actors - but in this case he has been found guilty under the laws of his country. I strictly believe we should condemn the act and not the doer - rather give the latter ways to better themselves.
There was no ignorance or cruelty in my statement - in fact, I am still wishing him well and looking forward to when he returns post the completion of his sentence. So you're wrong in calling me out for that.
What you should have stressed upon is the dislike you have towards the method in which the case has been dealt with rather than labelling people idiots. Could have then had a better discussion on that point and who know maybe such statements on public forums might reach the lawmakers to help them review and reform. Too easy to say things behind the screen - harsh truth is we are both not present there to support either the actors that we like, nor have any say in the proceedings. The least we can do is put forth the problem with the whole case in a better manner - both of us are in our respective ways supporting YIA, just our viewpoints and way to say it is different.
But again given your past replies - I know you will not accept where you are wrong or could improve in the manner in which you want to share your points. Still, I'll end it by saying that your opinions are yours, and so are mine - we have differing ways to share it and that's okay. So I hope you learn to accept the fact that for the same thing (wishing well for YIA) can come in different statements from other users and that they are not "idiots" for sharing it and therefore wear any labels proudly for that matter.
Think carefully before what you post on social media - even if it is words. You yourself have quoted the impact of the media and the written word, so at least practice what you preach.
Your comment to call me an idiot is an opinion not a label. In fact taking your words that it is 2024 - you should know best that it is not the time and age where you can "label" people or enforce them to "wear it proudly". Or rather any time for that matter.
While I have taken note of what you had to say, the manner in which you delivered comes with a lot of arrogance - palpable even through it is in writing. Had you said the same things with a humility and decorum as needed in a public forum - I would have respect for you too, and not just your comment.
Coming to my comment - I just have to say this "what may seem injustice to one would be justice to another. No verdict in history will have 100% people approving it - there will always be someone on either side calling it right or wrong". Which is why I wrote - adequate or not. Perhaps you should also take note to re-read before passing comments and "labels". Also when in doubt - a discussion would have been more beneficial.
As for Part 2 - his "punishment" I called it reform as the sentence also comes with: 80-hour drug rehabilitation program. Again going back to Point 1 - we cannot please everybody, but whatever the judging body saw fit they are doing in order to see a citizen reform their ways and go back in society with hope that they will not repeat it.
Given the long comment you have shared - you have invested time in research and this would have been good argumentative points. I wish it had come from a person with "kinder" communication and active listening/reading skills...
For his acting I have the deepest respect and will continue to have it towards his new works; once he returns. One cannot deny he is definitely one of the best Korean actors.
However he committed an offence for which he is being punished - adequate or not, we don't know but can hope that it will help him reform for the better.

2-3 times I typed and erased some theories I had - but they just don't add up. This show is really incredible…
1) How are Hyeon U and Su Yeon connected? (Especially after Ep 6 reveal) 2) Are the parents really bad? Or themselves victims of bad events? 3) Why is the father also scared of Seon Hui? 4) How did their son pass away? 5) The fake relative/police officer - is he really a police officer or pretending to be...in order to fulfill his own revenge plan? 6) What happened to fake relative/police officer's kid - how did the father/lawyer take him/her away? Could the kid be alive and be either - Seon Hui/Su Yeon/ Hyeon U? 7) Was it a dream or did child Seon Hui really pushed off the cliff into the sea? 8) Was there peanut powder in the porridge? 9) The father/lawyer did kidnap Su Yeon - we don't see him but car is same. In any case the key chain remained in the car - so could have been most likely him. If so - why did he let her escape and how did she survive? 10) What is the grandma's issue? 11) Grandma's son fell from the tree and was bullied - that story - is the son alive or not? Given their stern interactions looks like even father/lawyer is not the real son. 12) Who does mother want to kill? "They must be killed" as heard by Seon Hui. 13) Did Hyeon U light the fire at Gyeong Hu's house in a fit of jealousy - and somehow Su Yeon saw it? But they both made a pact to blame everything on Seon Hui? Revenge of the poor on the rich - for having everything they don't ? 14) What did Hyeon U tell at the police station? I have a feeling he did not report that Su Yeon stabbed GH.
can everyone let me know their theories?? i’m so interested in what other people think!
2-3 times I typed and erased some theories I had - but they just don't add up. This show is really incredible - at this point everyone is sus, that I just cannot think of one solid theory.
Which is odd - cause am a person who usually has at least 2-3 theories when watching dramas of such genre. Uff - can't wait for this mystery to unfold - like I have so many questions....
In fact am going to add those questions - so that maybe others can add in their theories... would love to hear. Adding in next comment under spoiler tag....
MDL Drama Ratings need to be monitored...or some structure put around it 😔 Slight Rant Ahead....
I usually start a drama basis the synopsis, teaser and cast - but factors like review/rating especially of MDL do factor in heavily. Had been thinking of dropping this show in spite of liking the premise, just cause the ratings were not promising - but am so glad I disregarded it and started the show.
The drama so far (after seeing 4 episodes) - this show definitely is in the league of rating 8 (good) rather than 6-7 (which I believe is an average score). It seemed to be starting off slow and I was thinking it is going to be predictable but it is absolutely NOT so. At least no indication so far - there is enough tension and suspense build up to keep one entertained and hooked, if you like works of this genre.
Therefore, I feel somehow - the ratings are off and either we need to be more conscious while giving ratings (which obviously cannot be controlled as it is subjective) OR we have only episode rating and not all over drama rating for ongoing shows.
This way at least it would not dissuade audience from picking it up - like it did for me.
i like how everyone started swooning over this man only this year and i have known him since the release of weight…
Ikr! But it is a good thing - I have been following him since his modeling and variety shows that he did initially and shows like ModuLove. Love him since then and had been hoping that he gets a main lead or any mainstream drama breakthrough soon.
I think the world sat up a bit when they saw him in Strong Gal Namsoon and 20th Century Girl AND went totally wild with Lovely Runner.
And as a fan am so incredibly happy - and look at this article, it shows what a long way he has come - and deservedly so, given we are not seeing the hardwork that is behind the scenes but it is there ❤️
Hoping this love continues and really need to see more diverse drama projects with him in lead.
Finally able to break from my K-drama slump cause of this drama ❤️✨ Though it is still to early to say anything, as I do not want to jinx it.
I personally felt Ep 1-2 started off great, but 3-4 were mellow in comparison. Except maybe Ep 4 the mystery angle (why did FL leave her job and everything else?). But that was momentary.
While I know my willpower is all time low, but am thinking I should allow more episodes to air before binging this one... just would also need to keep away from social media spoilers 😪😪😪
You mean the black suit he wore in Ep 1 for funeral/award OR the brown suit for his office grand opening?
Agree on this one! I think they were going for the oversize look, but then cause we saw him in that hot black suit this one was so contrasting and not so tasteful!
It's sad to see that how her mom treating her! From the first episode she doesn't try to understand her daughter.…
Things thankfully get better at end of Ep 2 - and hopefully overtime in coming episodes. Also I love how the rest of the ahjummas also stood up for her and I am pretty sure we might see some Reply 1988 kind of women bonding and support here as the episodes progress.

So very happy to learn that he/his character is going to have a spin-off on its own.
This actor needs more dramas in a leading role (365 days was not enough), have liked him since City Hunter 💗
However he committed an offence for which he is being punished - adequate or not, we don't know but can hope that it will help him reform for the better.
