Good pilot episode

it was good start for this drama, our FL was submissive to her husband and in law, and it look like a business marriage from her side, and husband is spoiled man child but rich.it took her time even after going into jail to understand that she was just a minion in there life not familyeven after getting released from jail her obsession with her ex husband isn't gone he is still her priority then her child she should focus on getting backI did not like kang ki young and FL were ex couple, it would be good if they were just classmates or each others crush then couple who broke up because of one of them fault.

just bad useless Promotion of You know whom.

Oh boy, Episode 6 of Tastefully Yours really tested my patience—and not in a good way. Let’s talk about the male lead (ML) for a second, or rather, let’s drag him through the metaphorical mud he deserves to be face-planted in.Why does he look so PATHETIC? Not just pathetic—comically useless. This man is supposed to be our “romantic lead,” but he spends the entire episode wandering around like a kicked puppy, spineless and void of any basic self-respect. The FL left him. Not just emotionally. She packed her bags, emotionally checked out, and physically walked away. TO HER EX. And where is our brilliant ML in the aftermath? Is he setting boundaries? Calling her out? Demanding an ounce of dignity? Oh no. He’s running back to her with some sad-sack honeymoon fantasy like he’s the poster boy for emotional masochism. For what, exactly? For a woman who walked out on him and his diner dreams like they were last season’s trash? She ditched his struggling restaurant project—something that was supposed to be their shared vision—and he responds by… planning a romantic getaway? As if that’s going to fix the blatant disregard she showed for his life and effort?Make it make sense. This man acts like he’s lucky she even breathes in his direction. He looks desperate, clingy, and just utterly hollowed out. There’s no strength in his character. No growth. No confrontation. Just this endless loop of self-inflicted humiliation. And the worst part? The show romanticizes it. As if we’re supposed to swoon over his "devotion." Devotion is one thing, but this is just emotional self-destruction with extra seasoning.Honestly, it’s not love. It’s codependency dressed up in wistful lighting and sad piano music. And if the show keeps pushing this narrative like it’s some tragic romance rather than the cautionary tale it actually is, we’re in for a whole season of emotional whiplash and wasted potential.Give us a spine, ML. Or at least a shred of pride. Something. ANYTHING

amazing

Honestly, that’s the perfect way to describe it — the writing treats Ga Seon Yeong like she’s some divine overlord of Korea. Every cop, prosecutor, and thug acts like they drink her pee every morning as holy water for loyalty. It’s insane how everyone bows to her — no logic, no reason, just blind worship. She’s not a villain anymore; she’s practically a religion in that universe. The show doesn’t even bother to explain why she has this god-tier influence. One word from her, and boom — laws vanish, murder scenes disappear, travel bans appear, and the entire justice system kneels.

From Gem to Garbage

If Episode 10 was nonsense, the preview for Episode 11 looks like pure garbage on steroids. Somehow, Ga Seon Yeong now controls the prosecutor’s office too — because apparently, professors in this drama are above the law, the chaebols, and maybe even the constitution.Butler Choi is still around, not fired, not questioned, just walking around freely like nothing ever happened. Meanwhile, everyone — literally everyone — is suddenly against Kim Young Ran, the largest shareholder and richest woman in the show. Why? Because Ga Seon Yeong supposedly gives them what Kim Young Ran can’t. And that makes me wonder — what exactly is she giving them?At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if the writers imply that Ga Seon Yeong slept with half the country to gain power. The police, the thugs, the prosecutor — all are magically in her pocket. She’s not a villain anymore — she’s the “Supreme Ruler of Lawless Korea.”Honestly, I’m just waiting for the President of Korea to appear in Episode 11 and bow down to the “Great Ga Seon Yeong,” the Villain of the Era. At this rate, even God himself might take orders from her.

fake

Another layer that makes this romance unbelievable is who the female lead is. She isn’t some struggling woman who might realistically compromise or seek security—she’s a software backend maintainer, with solid earnings, career growth, and long-term potential. On top of that, she’s slim, attractive, has a pleasant personality, polite behavior, caring nature, and financial stability. In short, she is the total package: beauty, brains, money, and manners. So the question becomes: why would a woman like her fall head-over-heels for a man with autism who is portrayed as plain, average, and not particularly romantic or expressive? It feels so forced that it turns the drama into an over-the-top fantasy. The relationship doesn’t read as “sweet healing love,” but rather a wish-fulfillment daydream—the kind where introverted or socially awkward men imagine that a perfect woman will appear and love them unconditionally, without them needing to offer anything equal in return. And then comes the most baffling part: our “great” male lead actually tells the man who arranged their blind date to reject her. Imagine that—a woman this beautiful, successful, polite, caring, financially independent, and genuinely serious about marriage and family, is ready to commit to him despite his autism. She’s even thinking about a future together, including children, knowing the risks his condition might bring.Yet instead of valuing this once-in-a-lifetime chance, he rejects her because he thinks he can somehow have a casual relationship with her without commitment. Really? In what universe does a man like this turn away a woman like her?To make things even more ridiculous, after being rejected by the male lead, the female lead goes to the man who arranged their blind date and begs him to somehow arrange another meeting with the same guy. This is after the male lead has clearly said he doesn’t like her and won’t be with her.She actually pleads, saying that eventually he will fall for her. Why? Because some doctor vaguely suggested she should be with him? There’s no practical reason, no emotional backstory, no hidden connection that explains her persistence. The drama just expects us to accept that a woman of her level—beauty, career, money, dignity—would throw it all aside to chase a man who openly rejects her, hoping he’ll magically change his mind.At this point, it stops being a sweet love story and turns into nonsense wish-fulfillment, where the perfect woman doesn’t just appear for an average autistic man—she humiliates herself, begs, and insists on being with him no matter what. It’s not healing; it’s insulting to both women (who are portrayed as desperate) and men (who are told to expect fantasy instead of reality).

Pathetic male lead

Diving into Tastefully Yours at episode 5 without the context of prior episodes was an intriguing experience, but it left me with mixed feelings, particularly about the male lead (ML), Han Beom-woo (played by Kang Ha-neul), and the dynamics at play in this diner scene. The episode centers on a small restaurant in Jeonju, run by Beom-woo and the female lead (FL), Mo Yeon-joo (Go Min-si), a passionate chef. The show blends rom-com and drama elements, but this episode leaned heavily into tropes that felt frustrating and underdeveloped. The pivotal scene occurs after the diner has served a special customer and is about to close. The second male lead (SML), Jeon Min, a chef from a rival restaurant, walks in requesting a meal. Beom-woo, the diner’s owner, firmly states they’re closed, which seems reasonable given his authority and the late hour. However, Yeon-joo overrides this, allowing Jeon Min to stay and serving him food. This moment felt jarring. As a chef and not the owner, Yeon-joo’s decision to serve a personal guest at the diner’s expense raises questions about professionalism and boundaries. It’s unclear if this is meant to show her kindness, defiance, or a deeper connection to Jeon Min, but without prior episodes, it comes off as disrespectful to Beom-woo’s authority. What’s more perplexing is Beom-woo’s reaction—or lack thereof. Instead of addressing the situation, he waits outside the diner like a dejected puppy while Yeon-joo spends time with Jeon Min. This paints Beom-woo as painfully lacking in self-esteem, a trait that feels at odds with his role as a successful food company heir and restaurant owner. His behavior borders on pathetic, as he lingers like a child hoping for attention. The metaphor of Yeon-joo as “tap water” that men line up for is harsh but captures the odd dynamic—Beom-woo’s willingness to trade his pride for a chance with her diminishes his character’s respectability. It’s hard to root for a lead who seems so spineless, especially when Yeon-joo isn’t romantically committed to either man, so she owes him no loyalty. The episode’s tone is undeniably cheesy, with Beom-woo’s lovesick demeanor amplifying the melodrama. While Kang Ha-neul’s acting is earnest, the writing doesn’t give him much to work with, making his character feel one-dimensional. Go Min-si’s Yeon-joo, on the other hand, exudes confidence, but her actions in this scene feel inconsistent with a professional chef’s mindset. The SML, Jeon Min, adds tension, likely due to a past with Yeon-joo (hinted at in flashbacks), but his late-night visit feels contrived to stir up conflict.Without context from earlier episodes, the angst and misunderstandings feel overblown, as noted in online discussions. The love triangle, a common K-drama trope, seems to dominate episode 5, detracting from the culinary focus that initially drew me in. The diner setting had potential for cozy, heartfelt moments, but the episode prioritizes romantic tension over character depth or business logic. Fans on platforms like Reddit praise the leads’ chemistry, but I found Beom-woo’s lack of assertiveness off-putting, and Yeon-joo’s choices confusing.Overall, episode 5 of Tastefully Yours is a rollercoaster of emotions that leans too heavily on clichéd romance without enough substance to justify the characters’ actions. Beom-woo’s low self-esteem and Yeon-joo’s questionable decision-making left me frustrated, though the actors’ performances keep it watchable. I’d give it a 6/10—potentially better with context from earlier episodes, but as a standalone, it’s a cheesy mess with unrealized potential. If the show wants to win over viewers, it needs to give Beom-woo some backbone and clarify Yeon-joo’s motivations.

garbage

ugly cheating garbage show about fake space room Ugh, why do some platforms like MDL insist on a 100-word minimum for reviews? Like, seriously, sometimes all you need is "It was great, I loved it!" or "This was a waste of time, don't bother." But no, they want you to stretch it out with fluff just to hit some arbitrary word count. Not every show or movie deserves an essay! Sometimes you just want to share a quick thought without sounding like you're writing a college paper. It’s so frustrating when you’re forced to ramble just to satisfy a rule that doesn’t even improve the quality of the reviews. Let people be concise! Quality > Quantity, MDL!
