It does give a clear picture of how a show compares with others. Per its disclaimer, it does not show absolute numbers, e.g. it will not give you statistics on how many people viewed a show at any time, but it gives a clear idea of how that show is performing. It is a ranking site

oh, I see what you mean. the reason for FlixPatrol ranking changing even if there is no new episode is, again, because it is a ranking site, it doesn't show the absolute rating, it shows how the show ranks against other shows, and that changes daily
I think my opinion is this. What we are seeing between defenders and critics is simply human nature. If there is…
why is it so hard to let others enjoy the show? reviewing it is one thing. nagging others about the flaws and ramming those perceived flaws down our throats is another
I also want to clarify something regarding the viewer data from flixpatrol, which i've seen referenced here a…
everyone knows this show has not been received well in SK (though it was #1 in SK on June 7). The stats I posted earlier are to tell other lovers of this drama that they are not alone or weird for loving this drama, as they would most likely feel upon seeing the mostly negative comments in this section. The stats were to let TKEM fans, who might start wondering whether it is a crime to love this drama based on these negative comments, that the show is loved by viewers all over the world.

yes, rankings are date-specific, it's the nature of the ranking beast. or they may be specified as, say, "from Apr to June, the ranking ranged from 18th to 15th", or something like that. Since FlixPatrol is more a ranking site, using some algorithm to calculate its ranking from source data (this is why it has the disclaimer), it is more useful for comparing shows. It does not give concrete numbers, e.g. "on June 7, 1234 or so many people watched TKEM", per the disclaimer. But it gives ideas of how well a show is performing against other shows. For example, as of June 7, TKEM is the only kdrama in the top 20 most streamed TV shows from Netflix in 2020, meaning that so far, for 2020, TKEM is the highest ranked Netflix kdrama globally.

The 15 countries were only those that had TKEM in the top 10. But just because TKEM is not in the top 10 list for a country does not mean that it is not being viewed in that country. Go to youtube and other social media sites. You will find reviews from viewers from other countries. I and my siblings are watching this and we are not in any of the 15 countries mentioned.

The data on which ranking points in Flixpatrol are applied are from streaming platforms. An algorithm was applied to enable ranking. Since we are in 2020, the statistics for 2020 would change everyday, thus need to be stated as of specific dates. For example, on June 7, TKEM was #15 globally while on June 8, it was #16 globally. It will be noted that Nielsen ratings are mainly polls where the viewing habits of a small set of population are measured and applied to the whole population. The reliability of Nielsen ratings has been questioned countless times. Here is one of many articles about this https://techpinions.com/nielsen-ratings-too-primitive-to-be-accurate/43302
I'm on episode 8 and so far I'm enjoying this drama! I rarely see people praising it so I'm a bit confused hahaha
i guess those who like the drama are enjoying it so much they hardly have time for anything else :) for example, i have been re-watching the episodes from the beginning to prepare for the ending. keep enjoying this great drama :)

The story is not so complicated at all. There is only past and present. To restore the balance, Lee Gon must travel…
I admire how KES simplified the notion of time travel. No alternate timelines as long as changes are kept to a minimum. LG, being a man of science knew this, thus the only changes he injected were to make TE believe in a rounder earth and be nicer to him at their "first" meeting as well as to make sure they meet

Here are the countries where it's in top 10, encompassing Asia, South America, Central America, Africa, Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Hongkong, Chile, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Singapore, SK, Taiwan, Thailand
These are just the top 10. I don't have details about ranking past top 10, but since it's #15 in 2020, I bet people from other countries outside those mentioned above are watching it. In fact, I know people watching it here in the US and also in Australia. I am one.
I was wowed by how it showed that the time-traveling LG merged with the LG the current TE met in Gwanghwamun Plaza,…
That was what kept me up last night. If the savior LG and his TE are LG1 and TE1 and the grown-up LG is LG2 and he has his TE2, then why does TE2 also have TE1's memory? It seems TE1 = TE2

I think everyone is aware TKEM is not well received in SK. That was why I showed the Netflix numbers, to counter its negative local reception. I was actually surprised it was #1 in SK Netflix on June 7.

my apologies, I've gotten burnt with the endless negativity about this show, I misunderstood your intention. I'm ok with opening the panel to discussion. However, having no access to information about the dollar equivalents of the ratings, I am not in a position to assess the exact degree of its success. I can only say that these ratings indicate the show is a global success.

Having said my piece in response to that "name-calling" remark of somebody who obviously has not seen my previous comments, I am hard-pressed to say what I don't like about the show because it is one of the things other viewers actually like about the show, based on the comments here. While I consider some of his scenes really funny and among my favorites, in general, the character of Eun-sup is kind of grating and unnatural.
