Based on my own experience of needing to re-watch episodes before I was totally captivated by the show, I tried to exhort others to do the same. I realized this show needs one to be fully immersed in it, to marvel at the cinematography, to appreciate its elegance, delight in the banter, feel the music, feel the chemistry. I wanted to share this magical experience with others so I shared tips on how to "understand" or "get" it. But, my intentions were misunderstood, pounced on and maligned. The term "understand" was immediately lambasted as affront to intelligence, even though I was referring to understanding it with the heart. It seems the word "understand" was all that was read and the other words that would have clearly put that word in proper context were summarily discarded. My other interactions with those who are against the show were mostly to try to clarify some confusing elements of the show. But again those became exercises in futility as it seems discussions about the show are secondary to discussions about each other. Some commenters even talked about me "behind my back" online. I never experienced that before. Is this normal in this site?

I am against injustice of any form and I saw how unfairly this amazing show that is loved the world over has been treated by the SK press. One of the reasons I joined this comment section was to find out more about the negative press, since I cannot read/write Korean thus could not search for articles about this online. The articles translated into English that I found online were the ones that seemed to be trying to pull this show down with controversies, so I did not trust them. Imagine my surprise when, instead of finding a comment section composed of people who love the show that I could ask about the controversies, I found a cesspool of negativity, where it seems any positive comment was shut down with sarcastic and other antagonistic remarks, where people are discouraged from watching the show or encouraged to drop it. Is this what comment sections are for? I thought reviews were supposed to objectively describe perceived flaws but leave the decision to the viewer.

Anybody who reads my comments in this section will see I refuse to stoop to name-calling even when I have been slurred a lot of times. I probably used the term "hater" one time, but considering this is the comment section for TKEM, by definition, "hater" is an appropriate term for people who hate this show, just as lovers and fans are appropriate terms for people who love it.

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure this is TKEM comment section. It seems nobody is even allowed to show statistics about it without being challenged? This is a recurrent theme. Every good thing said about this show has to be thrashed

hahaha, I couldn't sleep after watching episode 15 coz the theory presented there is different from the standard notion of time-travel. LG's case is more mind-boggling because of his interaction with TE. I presented a theory about seemingly different versions of LG in:

I was wowed by how it showed that the time-traveling LG merged with the LG the current TE met in Gwanghwamun Plaza, since the LG she met at the hospital had the memory of both, i.e. a time loop did not create an alternate reality, I guess because LG was careful not to make changes that would create one.

ikr? being a man of science, LG is careful not to create a butterfly effect that would lessen their chances of meeting and this is fantasy, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed :)

it seems you are mistaking me for somebody else. i never rhapsodized about LMH. The drama is what I am here for.

this comment section is about TKEM, right? so, if you hate the drama you are a hater just as loving the drama would make you a lover or fan

Wow, calling someone who spews hate, hater, is a slur? Per definition, it is an apt description for those who hate this drama. Examples of slurs are dumb, stupid, rabid, liar, and the like that have no bearing on the discussions at all.

I say what i feel is right, not to take sides. Are there sides, cliques, gangs in this comment section now, other than pros and cons? I have always been for the drama, so nobody should be surprised if I comment favorably about it or try to defend it.

can you check all my comments and see if i said any of those slurs? in fact even when i was being insulted to pieces, i tried not to stoop to that level
