On Paradise Next Nov 29, 2021
A noir road movie, with the cinematography, music and aesthetic atmosphere being its strongest points, while the quiet slow-paced story and the fragmented narration were the weakest elements.
Of course, Tsumabuki Satoshi is always a pleasure to watch!

Title Mrs. Noisy
A brilliant dramedy about miscommunicating neighbors, social intolerance, on-line media trials and ‘cancel culture’, as well as how important is viewing situations under different perspectives and taking into account that, most probably, there is an underlying reasoning for every action and behaviour.

Confusing non-linear narrative, balancing between reality and imagination, and messy editing took away some of the points that could have made this film a really good one.
But the way some really heavy topics were addressed in this film (such as transgender people, runaway outcasts, suicide, anorexia, mental illness), as well as the exceptional performance of Koo Kyo Hwan made this a memorable watching experience.

On Between the Seasons Nov 24, 2021
A delicate and subtle, silent and aesthetic, slow-burn character study about self-discovery, gender identity, sexuality, finding one's self and be true to it.

Intense and gripping, though the constant swifts between the different timelines were a bit confusing and tiring.

I'll watch anything with Yoo Ah In! He is, IMO, the best actor Korea has. So you are not considered shallow for…
Loved it! You should also watch "Six Flying Dragons" and "The Throne".
For me, these are his best performances!

What I like most about him is that he challenges himself with different things every time. He has never been typecasted like so many other successful actors :)

Same! He is one of my most fave artists and I've watched most of his works.
He never disappoints - his acting is always exceptional!

Am I considered as too shallow if I admit that I watched the first 3 episodes only for Yoo Ah In and the last 3 episodes for Won Jin Ah and her baby?

Sad but beautiful, sharp but emotional, a silent scream worth watching.

On One the Woman Nov 15, 2021
A makjang investigation-law-business-family-revenge story mixed with over-the-top comedy, slight romance and easy, unpolished writing.
Strong & promising start, lukewarm middle and annoyingly average ending.
Not bad, but nothing memorable either.
The ending dance scene was the best part!
