Emotional, nuanced and humane, with a compelling hero, flawed and broken but trying to get a second chance in life and society acceptance. Koji Yakusha's reserved performance and body-language were amazing!
A great drama about office life, ethics, politics and team work, with an intriguing story and characters, and an excellent cast. Realistic and relatable, with well-balanced moments of drama, comedy and angst, this was a very enjoyable hidden gem!
Full of melancholy, loneliness and desperation, this quiet atmospheric study on isolation and lack of human connection was heartbreakingly beautiful and, unfortunately, too short...
One of the very few exceptions that the remake was better than the original in most aspects: faster pacing, less cringy office moments, cuter and much less loud/frustrating/over the top reacting FL. Overall, an enjoyable fluffy rom-com.
Warm, calm and subtle love story between a florist and a ramen shop owner, surrounded by a few unrequited love story subplots. Unfortunately, too mellow and too superficial, but with great aesthetics and a charming Tanaka Kei that saves the day/movie :)
Though the story was slow-paced, a bit restraint and without a clear plotline, the charming performance of Han Ye Ri and the interesting cinematography and colouring made this film worth the watch :)
"I can't afford to hate people. I haven't got that kind of time".
A genuinely heartfelt sad movie, a spot on social commentary -even 70 years later-, superb in every aspect. Kurosawa Akira and Shimura Takashi at their best!
The only let down was its subpar ending...
Looking forward to reading more articles of yours ^^
Funny, cute, adorable :)
It turned out to be a short feel-good drama with a positive vibe.
Byun Yo Han definitely stole some of the spotlights!
Koji Yakusha's reserved performance and body-language were amazing!
Unusual, unique and out-of-the-box, in an intriguing way only j-dramas can be!
