On Kawa no Hotori de Sep 28, 2021
"Life is mostly a matter of chance" says one of this short drama's protagonists and this probably fits for most of the characters' backstories.

Unusual, unique and out-of-the-box, in an intriguing way only j-dramas can be!
On On the Verge of Insanity Sep 28, 2021
A great drama about office life, ethics, politics and team work, with an intriguing story and characters, and an excellent cast.
Realistic and relatable, with well-balanced moments of drama, comedy and angst, this was a very enjoyable hidden gem!
On Taipei Suicide Story Sep 23, 2021
Full of melancholy, loneliness and desperation, this quiet atmospheric study on isolation and lack of human connection was heartbreakingly beautiful and, unfortunately, too short...
On She Was Pretty Sep 21, 2021
One of the very few exceptions that the remake was better than the original in most aspects: faster pacing, less cringy office moments, cuter and much less loud/frustrating/over the top reacting FL.
Overall, an enjoyable fluffy rom-com.
On Mellow Sep 20, 2021
Title Mellow
Warm, calm and subtle love story between a florist and a ramen shop owner, surrounded by a few unrequited love story subplots. Unfortunately, too mellow and too superficial, but with great aesthetics and a charming Tanaka Kei that saves the day/movie :)
On One Step More to the Sea Sep 19, 2021
Though the story was slow-paced, a bit restraint and without a clear plotline, the charming performance of Han Ye Ri and the interesting cinematography and colouring made this film worth the watch :)

Title Ikiru
"I can't afford to hate people.
I haven't got that kind of time".

A genuinely heartfelt sad movie, a spot on social commentary -even 70 years later-, superb in every aspect.
Kurosawa Akira and Shimura Takashi at their best!
On Squid Game Sep 18, 2021
Title Squid Game
A binge-worthy survival game of high quality production.
Definitely not a masterpiece or something very memorable, as it had some noticeable pacing, plot and reasoning problems, but overall it was an entertaining watch, perfect for a weekend at home :)

Title Enjiya
Quirky, with a refreshingly unique approach, it got my complete attention after only a few minutes.
Those six fast-paced, short and compact plotted episodes weren't enough...
On Born with It Sep 8, 2021
Title Born with It
"I refuse to let people destroy me with their judgement".
Some parents really have to teach their kids a lesson or two...

Title Hope
I had this movie in my PTW list for ages but I couldn't bring myself to watch it.
Was I right? Yes. Do I regret watching it? Definitely not.

One of the most intense, devastating, heart-wrenching films I've ever watched...
Unbelievable performances, especially from wonderful child actress Lee Re, and a story that gives hard punches in the gut with the cruelty and injustice of these real life events it describes.
On Birthday Sep 7, 2021
Title Birthday
A slow paced but very intense story, based on a real-life tragedy, delivered by subtle cinematography and great performances.
Devastatingly beautiful.
On Still, Life Goes On Sep 7, 2021
I'd been putting off starting this drama for a long time because I knew it was heavy, deep, dark and very very sad, so I needed to be in the right mood for it.
But, some recent posts about it and my autumn blues made me decide to watch it - and I binged it in a day.

Nothing much to say about this painfully beautiful masterpiece: story, dialogues, production, acting were perfection.
Nagayama Eita and Mitsushima Hikari were beyond superb!
