You are all acting like you’re a professional critic or The Academy member or something... even in the first…
Honestly, saying that this drama was made for laughs and giggles sounds like a bigger insult than most of whats being said in this comment section. Yes, there are comedic elements but when it gets serious you can tell the directors meant for it to be taken seriously. If I’m wrong and they didn’t, they did a really bad job at portraying it. Even if this show was supposed to be comedic in the acting, it’s still not very funny unless they were like parodying someone or something. I definitely do think better acting and directing wouldve at least made this show less likely to be made fun of the way that it is. The story has a lot of potential despite being done before. “Overacting” is not really the best word to use to describe the bad acting going on in my opinion. The whole point of a site like this is for people to voice their opinion on dramas they watch, whether negative or positive @RoccoKitty. Can that be taken too far? Yes. But for the most part I don’t think it has. At least from what I’ve seen. And I would’ve agreed with you on the ITSAY point until I scrolled down and saw how people were comparing it to ITSAY and realized they make a very good point.
Sky definitely acts like what he is, a spoiled bratty rich only child. A lot of his actions, while annoying to…
Also, what’s so great about Sun and Sky that has Toktaeng and Juno so whipped like that? Other than Sky saving them from pitch, I honestly can’t tell. I had a feeling Sky would use them they way he did though. What a piece of shit move :(
Sky definitely acts like what he is, a spoiled bratty rich only child. A lot of his actions, while annoying to us as the audience, makes sense for who he is. But it still makes for an unlikeable character. Where’s the character development?!?
Side note: that jump that sun did in this episode will def be made a meme I can already tell💀 the way I was ctfu. I thought I was watching a wuxia drama for a second there lmaooo
Really recommend this one to anyone who wants to watch a short, light, and sweet drama. I watched the first episode a while ago but decided to drop it cause it seemed like I would be watching the same thing I’ve watched hundreds of times before. And while it isn’t anything groundbreaking, it does make up for it with its charm and great acting and chemistry. I’m glad I decided to pick it up again. Also I fell in love with Chris lol. One qualm though was papers’ character. Idk if it’s just me but he came across as conceited and unlikeable for most of the show.
Well, I'm sorry that this drama wasn't your cup of tea, and because of that there's nothing else I can say since…
How is that ironic when I was referring to myself? It would only be ironic if I were to change or twist my OWN words. But let’s not get into the semantics. I only apologized if my use of “fucking” came across as rude.

Not you quoting what I said then paraphrasing it in the same breath only to twist the same words you quoted. As you already put in quotation marks, I said “meanings” not “importance”. But that last part wouldn’t make any sense if you had actually use what I said would it? Cause they didn’t explain the meaning. And I already clarified that I knew the importance. Hilarious.

Surprise! Yeah, I most definitely will take your comment however I like it just like you decided to take my comment however you like it. You must’ve joined the internet (or were born) yesterday if you think my comment is “hate”. And don’t make this out to be some sort of “fight” there was no “fight”. Just a bunch of unecessary nitpickyness and butthurt fans. You can keep your “politeness” to yourself next time. I don’t need it (or your life story for that matter cause I didn’t need that either). Ironic that you use “entitlement bubble” as if both you and reply 1 didn’t expect me to change the way I express my feelings to coddle you. Next time I’ll be sure to comment something along the lines of “I don’t like such and such drama, but they tried their best of course so it’s great! love it! Oh and such and such character wasn’t fleshed out very well but the actor is cute and they really tried hard🥰😍❤️“ So I don’t accidentally hit a nerve with the likes of you again. Lesson learned! Good luck with your life. Hope you don’t reply.

I never said the first person had a problem with my comment. Either way I will not be changing a single thing. You’re not entitled to people sugarcoating their words or the way they express their feelings to protect your feelings. I’m not big on beating around the bush. I would understand what you were saying if I was wishing death on the director for existing and directing this or something but I was doing nothing of the sort. Something coming across as rude is also entirely a personal opinion. And that feeling is amplified when it’s something you like. If you agreed with me or didn’t like TU either, you probably wouldn’t find what I said as rude as you do now… but I digress. Anyways at the end of the day, I said what I said, I meant what I said, and I said what I meant.
This is how you all sound lol: Reply 1: “ I’m gonna clarify that everyone has a right to their own opinion even though that’s already established since this is a comment section on the internet so like duh. Oh, they like Word of Honor? Let me be very subtly passive aggressive and point out how I don’t like what they like and add lol at the end to make it lighthearted lol😇 since I can’t attack their opinion itself, I’m just gonna pick at the use of a single word that I only have a problem with cause it was used in this context. No one should use such a negative word to refer to anything about my favourite drama cause it makes me upset >:(“
Person 2: “How can anyone not like my favourite show? They must be so incredibly stupid they can’t understand it OR they didn’t REALLY watch it of course. There can’t be ANY other reason. Fellow die hard fan, don’t try to reason with this fool. Oh they like, word of honor? Just like fellow fan Im gonna emphasize how I didn’t like it either for no real reason. How does THAT feel TU hater?😈”
You: “I don’t like that this person doesn’t like what I like and I don’t like that they put it so bluntly. Since I can’t attack their opinion I’ll just point out that their comment was rude like an objective fact. WITH OR WITHOUT CUSSING ofc because their explanation for using cuss words makes too much sense and I can’t use that against them anymore. Also I won’t explain HOW it’s rude, it just is cause I don’t like it teehee”
I have a feeling Taekyung might not end up with either of them. The first scene of the first episode says something about a “first love” that doesn’t necessarily mean they end up together up until that moment in that scene when they are 20. But there are 5 episodes left. A lot can happen in that time.
Well, I'm sorry that this drama wasn't your cup of tea, and because of that there's nothing else I can say since…
I watched more than half of it twice and the rest once. Don’t condescendingly imply that I didn’t understand it or “really watch” it (whatever that means). I’ve noticed it’s very hard for people to openly dislike a drama with a strong fanbase on here because people like you can never come to terms with the fact that not everyone is going to like what you like. Instead you make up excuses to downplay the other’s opinion as less valid cause “they didn’t understand it” or “they didn’t REALLY watch it”. I understood it very well thank you very much, and I still didn’t like it. Cope.
Well, I'm sorry that this drama wasn't your cup of tea, and because of that there's nothing else I can say since…
By meaning I thought you meant the actual meaning of their names lol not why they have different names. I already know that each name is used depending on their relationship to the person they’re referring to. Like one is a given name and another is a courtesy name etc. Knowing that didn’t make it any less confusing for me.

The untamed had a lot more characters with a lot more names. That’s the difference. In word of honor most of the time one or two names were used depending on the character or respectful nouns such as master were used. About the meanings of the names, I personally couldn't care less. It’s not the job of the audience to do homework on the meanings of the names. If that information was important it could’ve been woven into the script somehow like how we get to learn why Zhan Yan changed his name to Wen Kexing and how Kexing is the symbol for Yan split in two. Important information that someone like me who isn’t familiar with Mandarin (and even those who are) might not have picked up otherwise. If you liked it enough to do outside research then that’s great for you. And if I missed the meaning of the names being explained then that’s on me. About the use of “fucking”, cuss words are not always used in a negative sense. They are often used to show emphasis. There’s a difference between saying “They have a long arm” and “They have a long ass arm”. That’s just how I personally speak but I apologize if it came across as rude. I forget not everyone uses cuss words as liberally as I do.
I dropped this a few months ago at ep 35 but after finishing Word of Honor and loving it, I decided to give it another go. I rewatched and finally finished this. In the end, I still don’t get the hype. In fact, I feel like I like it even less now after rewatching. I don’t know why I’m constantly annoyed while watching it. Every character is just so frustrating. Certain parts are dragged out longer than they should. And compared to word of honor, the “bromance” in the untamed is definitely not worth it. The plot itself can be very confusing if you don’t pay attention, many intertwining characters with their own importance and even more fucking names💀 (istg everyone has an average of like 4 names jfc). Anyways, one word to describe this show is disappointing. I had pretty high expectations considering the tremendous amount of hype it got on basically every single social media platform you can name but it didn’t live up to them unfortunately.
there's so many BL series or just other series that have many side characters that doesn't have any purpose but…
Not saying I wanted them to be vengeful AT ALL! Lmao that’s the last thing I want. Too many women characters like that in BL dramas already. I just thought they might be the catalyst for Sun and Sky realizing or coming to terms w their feelings for each other through some sort of jealousy arc. Currently if you removed them from the story, not much would change.
This was alright to pass the time with. My biggest qualm I think is how insanely unlikeable and insufferable the main character is. He doesn’t have many redeeming qualities. He’s quite cold even to his friends.
Side note: that jump that sun did in this episode will def be made a meme I can already tell💀 the way I was ctfu. I thought I was watching a wuxia drama for a second there lmaooo
