I’m on ep 6 and I wanna know if the characters get more likeable. Currently watching this for the story but I cannot stand Xiao Tan or Tan Er. Xiao Tan especially is such a horrible person for doing what she did with the prince with a body that isn’t her own wtf….
but the ressurection happened which only happened because of God. noone capable of ressurected someone except…
I think this is what's making everyone confused, everyone's assuming this is about the Christian god or the prophecies are actually from some god. Which I don't blame you for because at first I thought the same thing, but I don't think it necessarily is. If it's both the parents then I don't understand why god would not just give the prophecy to the both of them, I don't think he would be incapable of doing that and I don't get why he would go through the trouble of sending it to a child just for the two parents. And I also don't think it's actually god giving out those prophecies, I think that was just a lie made up by Jung Jinsu to explain the phenomenon but it could literally be anything really that's doing all of this.
again the comments with "people don't understand the metaphor/story" are back lol. meanwhile moral of the show…
Youre assuming this is a cult though. What is the difference between the New Truth and Religion? Is there a reason why you chose to refer to it as a cult as opposed to a Religion. It isn't hard to find examples in real life of religions controlling governments, even to this day. The government didn't disappear, it still existed but the societal control and power of the New Truth was unbeatable, especially considering how everyone knew those beasts from hell were real so how exactly could people go against them or disprove them? They controlled the public narrative and mindset because they had been warning about those beasts for years and so people blindly followed them because they thought the New Truth knew better and could save them.
Truly wondering if I watched the same show as some of yall in the comments?? Why are people mad that the baby was hell bound when it mentioned multiple times that the reason why these people are bound for hell is actually unknown and not actually because of sin. Like MULTIPLE times they mention that Jung Jinsu made that whole "sin" reason up?? I think you are all taking the show a little too literally. Like that thing they're calling an angel didn't refer to itself as an angel and it's probably not an angel. We don't even know yet if the damnations are truly a work of god (i doubt they are). I think it's addressing how people turn to deities or religion to explain the unexplainable. They even compare the phenomenon to a "natural disaster" a few times which is interesting to me because it draws a parallel to real life, where a natural disaster happens and people say it is retribution from god or the work of god.
Lmaooo you're fucking weird and also illiterate apparently. DId I say this episode wasn't interesting to everyone? Did I even imply that that was the case? No. You just constantly have a stick up your ass so you decided to take my own thoughts about this episode personally.
"Watching them talk is fun? What was fun about Pran being heartbroken? Was it cool for you? You dig it? you can relate? You think that's fun?" I won't even address this cause you sound extremely dumb. Like get yourself a new plug cause you sound like you smoke laced crack. How did you get 8 from 1+1? Did you stretch before this insanely long reach? For the sake of everyone, please do some breathing exercises. yoga, meditation, go outside for once, take an anger management class, maybe touch some grass, anything to loosen your clenched ass cheeks and fists and stop that smoke blowing out your ears over a harmless internet comment. I don't know who hurt you but next time you want to let your anger out, take it out on your pillow or take it up with your mother and not in my mentions. <3
What an unwarranted reply. This episode wasn’t very interesting to me as it seemed the plot didn’t move forward much and the little conflict that was set up was anticlimactic. But that doesn’t mean I hated it hence the “watching them talk is fun enough” so I don’t get the defensive tone. And that was also ableist btw.
Thank you for your comment. "Life expectancy is a statistical measure of the average time an organism is expected…
If shorter life spans was the reason or a main reason they tended to marry young in the past then wouldn't it make sense for both partners to be young? However that was usually not the case, only the women were in their adolescence and the men were usually older. And their age is actually one of the reasons why infant mortality rates were so high. The younger you are the more likely you and/or your child will die in childbirth. But anyway I loved the article and I also find myself having to consistently remind myself that what I'm watching is representing a different time and place to my own. Makes me so glad I was born when I was born haha (not to say horrible things don't happen today though).
I know this drama has been playing a bit loose with palace etiquette which hasn't really bothered me. I'm not…
I honestly think that may be just the directors trying to trick us into thinking it’s the King watching the crown prince. There’s a chance someone else caught the crown prince and the king was watching someone else. Although even then the palace etiquette would be violated ig. I have a feeling the person who caught her MAY be her guard Ga On!
No matter what happens, I want her to be crowned as a Queen in the end. It is her due place all these years. She…
That would be the best ending imo too but idk if that will happen cause I don’t even know if being in the palace and being a royal figure is even something she wants. But at the same time it seems she wants to make change to her society so maybe she will. That image of all those noble men bowing down to her as Queen would be fucking amazing!
All I have to say is... EAT THE RICH‼️ Definitely understand everyone making comparisons to boys over flowers.…
Another thing I hate is how GRI is set up to be this strong woman with amazing athletic skills and yet somehow she lets all the males in the show drag her around like a rag doll and basically do whatever they want. It's insanely frustrating. Also Joo Won deserves to be convicted for sexual harassment and sent straight to prison. But his behaviour is typical of dramas of that time period. I did like Yoon Seul though tbh and Oska I guess...
All I have to say is... EAT THE RICH‼️ Definitely understand everyone making comparisons to boys over flowers. The male lead was an insufferable pompous jerk.
