What an unwarranted reply. This episode wasn’t very interesting to me as it seemed the plot didn’t move forward much and the little conflict that was set up was anticlimactic. But that doesn’t mean I hated it hence the “watching them talk is fun enough” so I don’t get the defensive tone. And that was also ableist btw.

If shorter life spans was the reason or a main reason they tended to marry young in the past then wouldn't it make sense for both partners to be young? However that was usually not the case, only the women were in their adolescence and the men were usually older. And their age is actually one of the reasons why infant mortality rates were so high. The younger you are the more likely you and/or your child will die in childbirth. But anyway I loved the article and I also find myself having to consistently remind myself that what I'm watching is representing a different time and place to my own. Makes me so glad I was born when I was born haha (not to say horrible things don't happen today though).

I honestly think that may be just the directors trying to trick us into thinking it’s the King watching the crown prince. There’s a chance someone else caught the crown prince and the king was watching someone else. Although even then the palace etiquette would be violated ig. I have a feeling the person who caught her MAY be her guard Ga On!

That would be the best ending imo too but idk if that will happen cause I don’t even know if being in the palace and being a royal figure is even something she wants. But at the same time it seems she wants to make change to her society so maybe she will. That image of all those noble men bowing down to her as Queen would be fucking amazing!

Another thing I hate is how GRI is set up to be this strong woman with amazing athletic skills and yet somehow she lets all the males in the show drag her around like a rag doll and basically do whatever they want. It's insanely frustrating. Also Joo Won deserves to be convicted for sexual harassment and sent straight to prison. But his behaviour is typical of dramas of that time period. I did like Yoon Seul though tbh and Oska I guess...

All I have to say is... EAT THE RICH‼️ Definitely understand everyone making comparisons to boys over flowers. The male lead was an insufferable pompous jerk.

Loved the writing in this show! pleasantly surprised and also confused as to why this isn`t more known in the BL sphere. Loved Gio. Wish the terrible characters like phillip and dominic's mom had more consequences or at least a semblance of a redemption arc after their horrible behaviour and actions.

the best parts of this show are when the two of them are alone together. The dialogue and their chemistry is top notch. Serious kudos to the scriptwriters and ohm and nanon for such good acting. But I don't like the corny gang rivalry.

This drama was okay at best. Some things just didnt make sense to me. The acting wasn't all that good from the 2 main leads, everyone else was pretty good

lol i wonder why they keep doing that whole different countries thing when they know that in the end its gonna be popular vote and the other countries' contestants will be paid dust. Would never join a show like this if I was in J group or C group. Not surprised but still disappointing. Anyways at least they got themselves out there and people know who they are now. I feel like popularity contests like this would be so much more fair if all of the contestants were unknown or at least mostly unknown. I would suffer terribly from imposter syndrome if I was one of these contestants with preexisting fans or popularity.

also this show had one of the best if not the best “fall in arm” scene ever. Most times it’s awkward in other dramas I feel like and just annoying to watch but the main couple had nice chemistry.

An ok short and sweet show, binged it in one night. One thing I don’t understand though is why eun gyu ask hae won if he wanted to be his brother before they kissed. Also the guy with the mullet looks a lot like the second male lead from True beauty played by hwang in yeop lol. I did a double take everytime I saw him. Had to skip some parts about the love triangle cause it was unnecessary and boring.

And to me it seemed like gi hun survived until the end quite literally out of pure luck. Ik this is different from Alice in Borderland considering the games aren’t necessarily won by wit and smarts but at the same time his luckiness was just so unbelievable to the point of being miraculous. Like god wanted him to win or something. It’s actually crazy how many times he was so close to dying but he didn’t.

When i first completed this I commented that I didn’t know what to say and I really didn’t. I’m usually really opinionated about everything that I watch but I didn’t feel much while watching this and now I know why. I think it’s because this show was very predictable. And as some else pointed said, I also wasn’t attached to the characters and wasn’t really invested in them. I still think this show is worth watching. BIG TRIGGER AND CONTENT WARNING TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO WATCH THIS. There is a lot of onscreen dying and gore so please be aware.

This is uh… definitely a product of its time. It sort of has the corny old school charm of a disney original movie but with all the kdrama tropes. I’m on ep 9. I don’t think I’ll continue but I may pick it up every now and then when there’s nothing else. None of the male leads are really likeable. I especially hate raging misogynist Yi Jung and big man baby Jung Pyo. But I have a soft spot for Lee min ho.

Loved it! My cheeks hurt from constantly smiling for the past hour and a half
