Episode 30: And just when I rolled up my sleeves thinking I was about to see a huge fight between Yan Zheng and…
I agree, I love to see CY fight but our Xie Zheng is the feared Wu’an Hou, I would’ve loved to see his big battle scenes

By the way, is Qian Qian supposed to be from the future? In the later episodes when she says she from a “far far far away place” it seemed to hint that she wasn’t from that time. Also her knowledge of CPR and cavities make me think she’s from the future.

Random point but despite what the uncle says later about how the marriage is not legit because they didn’t have a matchmaker or exchanged betrothal gifts they had both! Mrs Zhao was the town’s matchmaker and they did exchange gifts: she got him the blue head ribbon and he got her the hairpin back. And they bowed to her parents memorial tablets so I think it counts.

Lesson learned from POJ: In this drama, you will always survive when you fall off anything, be it a 5000 meter cliff or up high on a stone fort and land directly on your skull. You will never die

I don't think any other Marquis / General can come as close to Xie Zheng ever in cdramas he is inimitable🔥
Yes! And I LOVE that drum beat music they play whenever they depict him in his armor and being the Wu’an Hou. Talk about Aura!

I think the confession scene in episode 36 after XZ gets beaten is my fave scene of the entire drama. I feel like…
I liked that you get his perspective. I mean we know he loves her but to hear his view on how he basically meted his cold heart was very sincere and touching

Anyone know whats written on the ribbons hanging on the tree at the last episode? I tried to make out the characters…
Basically all of the ribbons said “Chang and Zheng together forever” He made sure her ribbon will intertwine with his. Super cute~

I have a question. Can someone tell how old is Yan zheng/XZ in the drama because I think Changyu is 19 yrs old.…
ML was about 7 or 8 when his mom died so add 17 years to that so ML is about 24 or 25 and FL is 19 (she was two when her parents fled).

You know, now that we've reached the end...he did not even need to take that man's ear 😂
It was fan service lol jk, I mean they had to show how ruthless Wu’an is, we’re so used to him being so soft with CY that we forget he is the ruthless and fearsome Marquis Wu’an :)

I almost spit my water out in Ep 37. Wow, Marquis Wu’an does NOT mess around. I absolutely LOVED how cold, decisive, and ruthless he was. It was totally shocking but in an amazing way. Now THAT’S how you depict a ruthless character. Xie Zheng is so badass and fearsome so you can understand why so many people absolutely fear him. He is awesome.

Just finished it and it’s great all the way to the end. I think I loved it more than others because the villains are not black and white super evil but understandable very human people who’ve made mistakes in their lives and those mistakes were compounded by their fear and desire to cover them up. You couldn’t help but feel compassion for all the “bad” people in this drama. The actors did a phenomenal job and the director and cinematographer were simply amazing. I think I’ll be rewatching everything all over again from Ep 1.

For anyone who wants more of Zhang Linghe, I highly recommend “Maiden Holmes.” He was so captivating in that drama. Couldn’t believe it was his debut drama, still consider that one of his best dramas, now with this one too.

I thought it was a lot of hype but I was wrong. I thought it was mostly romance and I was wrong about that too. Episodes 18-20 had me bawling my eyes out. From Ep 1 this drama created such a world with such relatable people that I didn’t realize I would grow to love all of them, even Mrs. Kang, so much. This is Tian Xi Wei’s best work. Her crying scene in Ep 19 was so moving and so realistic. And Zhang Linghe is really convincing as both Yan Zheng and Marquis Wu’an. They have great chemistry together that’s obvious but all of the side/support characters are all so amazing and just delivering on point. The story telling is well-paced and the sound effects and music (yes, sound effects) are really impactful at telling the story. I am truly impressed by this drama.

Person Seo In Guk
I almost forget how diverse a career he has had. He has acted with so many actors before they became super famous, like Park Bo Gum, Go Yoon Jung, Go Min Si, it’s like the 6 degrees of Seo In Guk. He also has such a wide emotional range that I would love to see him in another drama or a romantic drama that really showcases his acting spectrum. I am glad his latest drama Boyfriend on Demand is doing pretty well and he’s getting more exposure. I hope this means he will have a lot more dramas or movies in the future.

Well the speculation is mounting in several papers in Korea. The structure received his last settlement from his…
The tax authorities haven’t even commented on anything related to KSH, nor have they audited him, or anything. Also, using an SPE (single purpose entity/corporate structure) for tax benefits is not illegal nor is receiving pay through that structure (the use of the word “settlement” doesn’t translate well from Korean to English, they just mean payment of his “wages”). So basically, this is all just speculation by the media trying to create controversy and “news.” On the other hand, the tax authorities did find that CEW under-reported and underpaid his taxes. So there is a big difference between CEW and KSH. The only thing driving the controversy for KSH is this type of speculative journalism based on nothing but gossip.

I hate it when people assume that every allegation against a celebrity is true.
The assumption is that you assume illegal activity. I haven’t read anything from a tax authority saying KSH did anything wrong. Therefore, your comment alluding to illegal activity and implying KSH committed a wrong-doing is a generalized assumption that mere speculation against celebrities is all true. We would never hold the average person to such assumptions. Why? Because that would be defamatory. Which is itself illegal. Do you get it now? Understand the logic? Or are you too slow for that too?

People need to stop speculating. The tax authorities have not questioned him, have not raised any issues, have not opened any investigation about him and his taxes, has not commented, have done nothing. It’s all random people speculating and then it’s written like fact or that he’s under investigation. Some random journalist wrote a speculating article and then some tax accountants decided to comment and give their two cents and now everyone is talking like he did something. The only authority who can say he did anything wrong about taxes is the tax authority. Holy sht, talk about people trying to crucify and witch hunt. It’s spiraling completely out of control. This is KSH’s reputation and livelihood. If I were him I would sue everyone for defamation.

I'm very confused, after reading multiple comments on this page. Is this article by Kim Ju-yeon for Korea JoongAng…
Allegations, and apparently the same reporter who tried to attack KSH last time with those rumors. I think it’s well-known that the reporter hates KSH for some reason and purposely writes articles to defame him.
