I know people won’t agree but like it got boring I’m hoping to pick it back up but like it got so boring and…
I agree, I like the drama but wish he was a much better father and put more effort into her and being in the present than trying to go back to the past, be a hero, start a new romance with the FL or any of that nonsense. His priority should have been his daughter. It was a big miss by the writers. We don’t care so much about his romance as his role as a good dad.
This drama is worth watching. It’s starts out quite comical and I love the FL’s unserious mannerisms. It’s a refreshing contrast to all the other kdrama FL who are overly done up and pretty and sweet and etc. The FL is strong, realistic college girl, is honest and stands up for herself and speaks her mind. I really like that - I’m tired of all these “good” FL who never stand up for themselves, is always taking sht from other ppl because they are so “good and innocent”. The FL here is more realistic. And she has great chemistry with the ML. Overall it’s an enjoyable and fun drama to watch.
can someone tell me if there is any miscommunication between the main leads?
No. They’re pretty honest with each bc other, maybe too much lol. A few scenes where you think they could’ve been more honest with each other but it’s quickly resolved. So no, it’s a good watch and a non-toxic relationship for a change. Just finished this last night.
I am not really sure why he continues to be targeted by the Chinese fans. Does anyone know if it’s really bad? I don’t see any projects in 2024. I just don’t understand how the voice of a few can really damage someone’s livelihood like this. I didn’t even think what he allegedly did was bad, it’s his personal life. His professional life seems fine. Are Chinese fans really that crazy?
Can’t believe people are actually commenting on the FL’s weight. How anorexic do you want these actresses to be? And you wonder why these actors and actress constantly try to get skinnier. How toxic.
It’s actually pretty cute and light. I watched Fang Xiao Dong in Back to Seventeen and thought he was really good there. It’s a much lighter role here and it was good to see him in this type of role, and he was just as good. It’s a fun drama to watch if you want something light and easy
He has a very versatile face, lots of expressions and depth in his eyes. A very charismatic and promising young actor. Hope to see him in more dramas and as a lead.
It could have been longer it was so good. One of few CDramas that would be better longer. Still it was great. I loved that they were best friends even when he was fat and it wasn’t any external pressures that made him lose weight. Also, it showed him being popular and likable even before him losing weight so it made sense when their relationship became close after he lost weight, she had always liked him so it was a natural progression.
I really love the ML and FL. These two are actors I am always looking out for. I think he looks better in modern dramas and so does she. Wish they’d have another modern drama together. I wonder why they don’t get better roles. She looks similar to Zhou Ye so I wonder if that’s why. Does he have a scandal? This drama did well so I’m just surprised why they don’t have more dramas together.
No, it’s clear CF definitely came back so the presumption is that his brother did too since they both got the poison days from each other. Based on the music, I think the end is just CF going to work and them just living an ordinary normal like just like she wished for. Besides, even if you interpret it as a dream, her first dream came true exactly as she dreamt it so this dream would likely come true too anyway.
This is not a vampire story. For those looking for a “vampire” story they should just move on. Vampire is a very western concept and the story makes it clear that it’s poison and not contagious. Also, it’s only the first two episodes. The rest of the story is an AMAZING love story between the ML and the FL (and also SML and SFL) and the understanding and love and forgiveness that people can have when they love.
This mini drama is actually really good! Much better than a lot of the full length (often times way too long and draggy) dramas. The acting is solid, the leads’ chemistry is great, the artistry costume and scenery are beautiful and even the sound effects and music are great. Just really well made. I actually loved the backstory of the couple because it gives more insight to the mystery and it was also so super fun and cute and romantic.
I also finally understood the cameo by Smile Hu and Yang Ze! They’re in The Killer is Also Romantic by the same director! That was such a cute cross over cameo. Well done!
A lot of his dramas could be full length dramas. I don’t know why they keep casting him in mini dramas but he could and should definitely do a full length one. No dig on other actors but Richard Li seems like a pretty good actor and easy on the eyes, it’s a shame that he is being so overlooked. Maybe replace Chen Yi with Richard. I don’t dislike CY but he’s in way too many dramas, I feel like I see him too much.
I’m confused about why the writers all of a sudden shifted Han Wuwei away from FL and have him fall for Ayli. The shift was so sudden from Ep 11 Ye started getting more screen time and all of a sudden FL fell in love with him and Han no longer seemed interested in her. It was all such a sudden and weird change. I thought the FL had much better chemistry with Han than with Ye. Ye was barely in any of the episodes up until about Ep 11. Then all of a sudden they are in love. So weird. It’s either bad editing or writing or both.
I think they really died. He got shot by 100 arrows and she gushed up a lot of blood from that poison so I’m going to say they’re dead. But the last scene looked like they were walking with lanterns in the after life so a next life type of thing could work. Think they did another mini drama together before this one.
