I liked her in Ever Night and the Untamed. Don’t care for her off-camera personality but I like her as an actress so I am glad she’s finally getting the main lead roles.
On ep 1 but not loving it. I’m surprised by the director, I thought he’d be better given his filmography. The side characters are over the top. Worst of all, I feel like they are underutilizing Lee Jong Won’s acting skills - the ML character is rather boring, and the set up in contrast with the FL is too cliche. I’ll watch a few more episodes to see if it’s gets better but so far it’s a bit disappointing especially given the acting spectrum of the FL and ML.
Back to Seventeen was such a surprise! A must watch that’s very underrated! I’d also recommend Butterflied Lovers. The plot is pretty fantastic and the cinematography is stunning.
Season 2 is so terrible. What happened to the main characters? Who are all these random people I don’t care about. Why is this all of a sudden some kind of military drama with super boring subplots. S2 completely missed the points that made S1 a hit. Humanity in the face of adversity and characters worth rooting for trying to survive in an apartment complex. The story was so focused and tight with great character development all around.
S2 was none of this. None of the characters are worth anything in S2. Even Hyun Su was super annoying and naive. S2 suffered from having way too big a budget with unnecessary location shoots, bombs and guns everywhere, barely any monsters, and barely any coherent plot. All in all, it was such a chaotic mess. I think the fans of S1 could have written a much better S2. SO DISAPPOINTING. I don’t even know if they can fix the series with a S3.
I know people won’t agree but like it got boring I’m hoping to pick it back up but like it got so boring and…
I agree, I like the drama but wish he was a much better father and put more effort into her and being in the present than trying to go back to the past, be a hero, start a new romance with the FL or any of that nonsense. His priority should have been his daughter. It was a big miss by the writers. We don’t care so much about his romance as his role as a good dad.
This drama is worth watching. It’s starts out quite comical and I love the FL’s unserious mannerisms. It’s a refreshing contrast to all the other kdrama FL who are overly done up and pretty and sweet and etc. The FL is strong, realistic college girl, is honest and stands up for herself and speaks her mind. I really like that - I’m tired of all these “good” FL who never stand up for themselves, is always taking sht from other ppl because they are so “good and innocent”. The FL here is more realistic. And she has great chemistry with the ML. Overall it’s an enjoyable and fun drama to watch.
can someone tell me if there is any miscommunication between the main leads?
No. They’re pretty honest with each bc other, maybe too much lol. A few scenes where you think they could’ve been more honest with each other but it’s quickly resolved. So no, it’s a good watch and a non-toxic relationship for a change. Just finished this last night.
I am not really sure why he continues to be targeted by the Chinese fans. Does anyone know if it’s really bad? I don’t see any projects in 2024. I just don’t understand how the voice of a few can really damage someone’s livelihood like this. I didn’t even think what he allegedly did was bad, it’s his personal life. His professional life seems fine. Are Chinese fans really that crazy?
Can’t believe people are actually commenting on the FL’s weight. How anorexic do you want these actresses to be? And you wonder why these actors and actress constantly try to get skinnier. How toxic.
It’s actually pretty cute and light. I watched Fang Xiao Dong in Back to Seventeen and thought he was really good there. It’s a much lighter role here and it was good to see him in this type of role, and he was just as good. It’s a fun drama to watch if you want something light and easy
He has a very versatile face, lots of expressions and depth in his eyes. A very charismatic and promising young actor. Hope to see him in more dramas and as a lead.
It could have been longer it was so good. One of few CDramas that would be better longer. Still it was great. I loved that they were best friends even when he was fat and it wasn’t any external pressures that made him lose weight. Also, it showed him being popular and likable even before him losing weight so it made sense when their relationship became close after he lost weight, she had always liked him so it was a natural progression.
I really love the ML and FL. These two are actors I am always looking out for. I think he looks better in modern dramas and so does she. Wish they’d have another modern drama together. I wonder why they don’t get better roles. She looks similar to Zhou Ye so I wonder if that’s why. Does he have a scandal? This drama did well so I’m just surprised why they don’t have more dramas together.
No, it’s clear CF definitely came back so the presumption is that his brother did too since they both got the poison days from each other. Based on the music, I think the end is just CF going to work and them just living an ordinary normal like just like she wished for. Besides, even if you interpret it as a dream, her first dream came true exactly as she dreamt it so this dream would likely come true too anyway.
