i absolutely adore this drama: except for one point: everyone and the king himself, they are just... kept on saying…
People have their favorites. Not everyone goes on a killing rant and tries to kill their father and mother and brothers because of that. You try to do better or just accept that even tho you’re not a favorite you still hold value and still need to live with self-respect and gratitude. Unfortunately it’s the narcissistic crazies like him throughout history that have made many people suffer.
Why do I feel like this drama is going to have a bad ending and a bunch of our good guys are going to die? CDramas suck at their endings so now I’m just paranoid since I’m invested in this drama
Sun Yi is such a great actress and is beautiful. I think she needs a new agent though because she gets the worst roles and the worst scripts. It’s like they typecast her to these super tragic, sad, overly dramatic roles. I don’t even think she’s picking them, I think it’s what she gets offered. It’s crazy because all her male leads have made it out to stardom (Deng Lun, ZRY, BJT, etc) with better scripts but she seems to be stuck in the same cycle and the same types of tragic helpless females.
He seems to make great drama and character decisions. Watching him in New Life Begins and he’s great. So decided to check out Reset and it has a 9.0 rating! Pretty hard to achieve on MDL. And all his dramas have great ratings! So it’s either he picks great projects or he is a great actor in these dramas and making them shine or both!
Don’t recommend anyone to watch this. The ending is as open-ended as they come. There is no closure to the main story or the main character and you just think it’s the end of an episode only to realize it’s the end of the drama. They’re NEVER going to make a season 2, just like they’ll never make a Princess Agents season 2 or Dulou Continent season 2. Never. So unless you like the feeling of incompleteness I don’t recommend you start this drama.
Cdramas need to learn to do better endings. I just don’t get it. SOMEONE please give the writers and the directors a clue on how to do a good ending. It doesn’t have to be happy, it doesn’t have to be sad, it just needs to make logical sense with the plot and characters, not be cringe or tacky, or rushed. Please.
I am disappointed with the ending. In the last two epis, they make some unnecessary complications. ML's mom who…
I agree but I also understand. His father just died and his world probably crumbled. He had such a great relationship with him. He couldn’t go back to school and he who he was as of his world didn’t just end. He probably wanted to leave everything and try to heal. I’m sure he knew it wasn’t her fault for lying to him but in that situation he probably needed someone to blame and hurt.
Ask he is still also a minor technically, in high school so of course he can’t just live by himself, he has to live with his mom, his closest living guardian by law.
I do find it odd for him to suddenly confess his love after 4 years of silence. Think they could have made the ending more realistic and just hopeful instead of a kiss scene.
