This series ended the way it should. Deon and the green flag guy became a part of a committed relationship. This whole series was a wild ride! The two red flags were so toxic that had they gotten Cinderella it would have been a travesty.
Frankly, if you want a series to present situations for serious discussions about what a healthy relationship entails, this is your movie. From the obsessed crazy guy to the obsessed a******it was toxicity in the extreme. The green flag guy loved with an unconditional love which I would consider rare. Even though Deon did nothing to deserve abuse; unfortunately, his passive personality practically invited it. I can relate to his later desire to become more of who he wanted to be without being dependent on others. I think he was trying to assert himself to the point of being an individual who had the right to choose his own direction in life. But his very passivity without aggressively standing up for himself, however unfairly, made him a target.
The little twist at the very end of the series about the green flag guy has made this a definite rewatch. Now, I have to go back and observe the whole situation from the green flag guy's perspective to unravel just how very much he loved the male lead. I will say the two healthy leads had outstanding chemistry. The green flag guy was a great kisser! I hope that both of them will be paired together in future BL series.

Lost potential
This was a good story with some intriguing characters. The format just didn't do it justice. I searched for an hour for "real" episodes and only found episodes that were basically clips. It was frustrating to be so interested in watching this series and finding out it was really like a disjointed synopsis of the story. Good male and female leads; however, the presentation didn't give them or the story an opportunity to shine. I think the female lead was also in My Mysterious Lover. She gets an opportunity to truly display her abilities in this series.

Sense of Wonder
What a beautiful tender love story. The time travel element was a little confusing at times, but the overall story was well scripted. The 2 male leads had great chemistry and an affectionate respectful relationship. There were enough teasers to indicate a 2nd season.Warrior Yai has a different perspective than scholar Yai so there's room for the storyline to be complex and compelling. It would be interesting to see a more intense relationship and possibly more physically passionate one with Warrior Yai. Hopefully, we won't have to wait long for their story.

A lifetime of Devotion
The emotional intensity between the male lead and the female lead created tremendous chemistry. The story overall was a very good one. The eventual development of their relationship was heart touching. Their inability to be vulnerable with each other from the beginning of their marriage and open in their communication and feelings cost them a lot of unnecessary anguish. But, it did make for a very complex relationship. I do feel somewhat frustrated by the male lead's need to punish himself for something he did not do. Several of the supporting casts added in a positive way to the story. I especially liked the cute romantic Kang. Was this review helpful to you?

Fairytale Love
The plot was a simplistic one performed exceptionally by the actors. After several episodes, I realized that at the end of each episode, I would have a smile on my face and lightness in my heart. I will definitely watch this many times. All the actors did a terrific job. I'm in awe of Shou Lu Si's versatility. After watching the complex drama "The Story of Pearl Girl", "Hidden Love" at first seemed to too easy. But then I realized that this coming of age slice of life series portrayed her with the young teen's angst of first love to an emerging adult deeply in love. She maintained the consistency of her character from age 14 when she fell in love at first sight until she eventually was proposed to at 22. It was a warm hearted Cinderella story. I admired that her family and the male lead had a generous spirit and a strong sense of moral responsibly. The main couple portrayed a healthy relationship that displayed respect and genuine caring.

Masterpiece
Go Hyun Jung's acting was exceptional! Everything about this series was gripping. I was in the last episode when I consciously noted that the post was remarkable. I'm going to put it on my playlist in Spotify. The main characters and the supporting cast acted this entire series with believability and depth. The open ended last episode leaves room for a season 2. I would definitely watch it. How the story would develop the mother son dynamic would be interesting. Realizing that Queen Mantis had deep seated phycological reasons for her killing spree doesn't justify the brutality but it does explain it. I think she finally gave herself up so her son could have a decent life and become a good person.

Prevalent love
The storyline was excellent. The relationship between the two men was authenic and compassionate. I easpecially appreciated the emphasis on safe sex. Exploring diverse relationships broadens the viewerships perceptions and including the importance of safe sex normalizes the need to have healthy intimate relations between consenting caring adults. I hope there are more shows like this. I'm glad i discovered a new platform to view mor bl series. (No offense...the "500" word requirement for reviews make me feel like I'm writing a school essay.)Was this review helpful to you?

Superb!
Everything about this series was awesome! There have been numerous insightful reviews about this series. The chemistry between the 2 ML's was off the charts. Their relationship developed in season 1 to the point where Sheng was attracted physically to Tian but felt uncomfortable with the attraction because he didn't want to destroy their friendship and complicate their relationship as step brothers. Tian who noticed everything about Sheng knew something was different and that Sheng lied about his exam to distant himself from him. Season 1 left everything up in the air. All I can say is after the Chinese Addicted series wasn't completed and the series Stay with Me wasn't given a Season 2, this series better have a season 2 or I'm going to be severely upset! Was this review helpful to you?
I appreciated the consenual nature of their sexual relationship. The actual depiction of the bdsm was a little trite. Overall their relationship was sweet. It strove to legimize bdsm and same-sex relationships. Kim's parents acceptance but yet realistic attitude was a loving healthy one.

Surprisingly Candid
This old BL was exceptionally good. The story line was confusing at times especially when Su Min continued to reject Jae Min. Jae Min's instant infatuation and continued pursuit was touching. Once they became a couple their love was poignant. Considering the year this was filmed and in an ultra conservative nation the development of the entire script was realistic and explicit without actually showing a great deal. Definitely not a movie for minors, but adults should be able to handle the down to earth dialogue and sexual actions. I have to assume the ending was meant to be profound in some way, but Jae Min putting his hand on Su Min's privates in view of the policeman kind of seemed strange. Again, I can only assume since communicating wasn't the main couples strong suit that the gesture was meant to be one of reconciliation and acceptance of their tabu relationship. I'm glad neither lead died and apparenting their relationship would continue. Was this review helpful to you?

This story is insanely captivating. The chemistry is explosive between the 2 leads. This is like a romantic mystery. I'm in one corner rooting for Shulang and in the other corner shouting at Fan Xiao for being a self deceptive rat. Shulang is an awesome person. Hopefully before this series is over FX will become a better person. Right now he seems like a sociopath with terrific acting skills. This series is definitely going on "my repeat watch" list.I have a visceral hate for FX. I metaphorically am trying to put my arms around YSL to comfort him for all the trauma in episode 10.
This has become my favorite BL of 2025. And that's saying something since I've watched ABO Desire about 15 times. The complexity of the characters is intriguing.
I adore YSL. He's has a steadfast character, dignity and at his core a compassionate nature.

Two sides of a coin
I watched this the first time more from the female lead's perspective. I thought, "This was a good story"--then, it dawned on me that if i watched it a second time from the male lead's perspective i would get a dramatically different feel for the story. I really don't understand the bad reviews. The second time around I admired and enjoyed nuances of the acting I missed the first time. The main relationship as well as the secondary ones leaves an opening for dialogue about modern relationships and the choices made. The music was awesome. The story had more depth than originally perceived. I would watch it a 3rd time, but I'm going to wait a few weeks to see if the 3rd time offers more insights. The two main leads were very expressive when you add more layers to their thoughts. They were young adults stumbling through what a relationship is and how to develop one. Akwardness, insecurity, intensity, the occasional snippy comment...seems very realistic. Was this review helpful to you?

Pure Romance
This romance had a sense of warmth from the beginning. The story itself was almost like a slice of life. The male lead was completely delightful. The female lead more conflicted and very self-contained. The fact that they could have a believable romance took a bit of story development. However, the male lead's complete love for her won my heart. The female lead's devotion and sacrifice toward him was frustrating but under the circumstances she had lived, she was displaying her intense love for him. I love how the Korean family dramas even the romances have such a sense of family warmth and loyalty. Even in day-to-day relationships there's a willingness to forgive sincere apologies and maintain or restore situations and relationships. I most definitely will watch this again! Was this review helpful to you?

Authentic Love
I was touched by the ML 's gentle heart and passion for music. The angst he felt over being gay and rejected was troubling. I'm glad his friend convinced him to lay aside his doubts and live for himself. As with many Asian dramas time creeps by with feelings developing and loyal ities being steadfast. When the photographer finally realized he cared deeply for his friend and wanted to remain by his side, my insides were doing a happy dance. This was a slow burn romance with a youthful authentic quality to their love. Was this review helpful to you?

Touching story but confusing
This coming of age series was heart touching. The characters were well acted. The main ML and FL were excellent. I enjoyed the story until the poor editing on the last 2 or 3 episodes made a muddle of the series. After completing it I continued to ponder the timeline in these episodes to make sense of things. There appeared to be sacrifices and considerations occurring that weren't straightforward. It just really got confusing. I can't help but think there was a better way to present the chain of events that caused the leads to be without communication for four years. I wish the last 3 or 4 episodes were redone to provide more clarity. On reflection it's like the plot wasn't adequately developed to reflect the motivations of several of the storylines...like maybe the production was running out of time or money to fully develop the plot.
I would love to see the ML as a main character in more movies. The secondary couple were sweet and romantic and helped carry the story along with warmth. The antagonists: the spoiled selfish FL lead and her besotted sort of step brother were both infuriating and unnecessarily tragic. I enjoyed this cinderella-like series until it became a mess and morphed into a jigsaw puzzle .
