I don’t want to spoil the show for you, but you’ll discover that the ML was with FL not because he loved her, but because she fit the role of his partner well and being from a poor family, she was easy to manipulate. I have watched till ep 23, so if you need proper spoilers, let me know.

The ML knew all along that she had lied about her parents and family background, and he reveals to her that he always knew, the FL keeps trying to tell him but he doesn’t allow her. Their relationship crumbles because both of them have been dishonest in the relationship.

I am on episode 6 and they’ve just got married with the love rival already making a move on the ML. Anybody knows what episode the divorce happens in? I am aware Xu Yan would leave Haoming from the description of the drama, and I am aware she has married him under false pretences, but I do hope our pretty FL doesnt suffer much before the divorce.

Well I can safely say I’d not be happy even with 16 episodes!! one thing that happened good in episode 9 was that the King himself pointed out the ridiculousness of the judging system for the competition, as so many of us had pointed out, and it was good that the Joseon side won, but when the grand dowager empress came and insulted the envoy, I thought to myself…..what was the point of the last three episodes if the Ming envoy would hastily leave with his tail between his legs! We can all see the King is falling deeper for Ji Young with each episode, but she knows she needs to go back to her own time, and I guess we will see her return to her times tomorrow, I just wish we can also see him following her to the future and them having a happy ending away from the politics and annoying consorts.

The Chinese dialogues are just so so bad! Foreign envoys are so often multilingual, and the envoy as well as the head chef of Ming already speak Korean, they could have just spoken Korean!! Eagerly waiting for this cooking competition to be over, so many people have pointed out the flaw in judging, with each judge being biased towards their own chefs, perhaps the producers would be beating themselves up for not coming up
with better options :)

Yoi can totally watch the scenes, but the scenes of the brother and the arch nemesis of the FL have no bearing on the story whatsoever, so watch for a while and skip when it gets boring :)

I am literally forwarding all scenes with the FL’s brother and Xiyun! The FL is at times annoying and throws unnecessary tantrums, I am watching just for the ML. The first 14 episodes were the best, 14-18 were good, ep 19 was a total wreck, I hope the last 4 episodes salvage the show somehow. They are making a 23-episode drama drag on for so long!!! Overall, I feel it is a good overall one time watch, the story is nothing new though.

I am watching both, as well as Summit of our Youth, and each drama is making me wait for new episodes!
