OK... this the real trailer.... the one listed as official confused me... I am now convinced it is just a very well done Fan MV, using footage of other dramas, especially Best Time.
For those who may not know, this is the movie that inspired scenes in Taiwanese film Our Times .... especially when lead guy shows up in jean jacket on a motorcycle w/ helmet and bangs flopping... That's all Andy Lau in this film <3
Also, of all motorcycle films I've scene, I don't recall anyone shooting a close-up of the head of the hero from below, aiming up, as wind blows thru his hair when he rides. ... a unique shot .... repeated in the lakorn My Life is to Kill, My Love is for You..... becomes an unforgettable shot.

I now understand why it is a CLASSIC:
--- Iconic Imagery --- the head shot as he rides away on the bike .... the final shot of her in the street ....etc...
--- Incredible pace --- Tempo like a dance ... quick quick slow... quick quick slow.... most of the slow moments are the "moments of romance" ... a break from his violent life. just when u think u've figured out the scene, something interrupts....
--- Several plots seamlessly interwoven --- 3 plots running simultaneously: the romance plot, the Jewelry heist plot w/ detectives in pursuit, and the ill godfather w/ struggle for succession.... Ofc, they all collide in the end! .... each given enough time to understand the essentials. Yet, a lot is said/expressed w/ "seemingly" very little effort.... seemingly, b/c it is well crafted!
--- Scenes are layered --- they are multi-purpose ... u think it is an action scene, but something else is happening, another fact is revealed, etc.... every shot or scene gives relevant info.
--- Layers and symbols --- especially the colors red and white everywhere ... symbol of innocence and passion, angel/devil, pure/evil ... all represented by Jojo and Wah Dee.
--- Well-developed characters ... we find out about their background, their hidden desires, their pain and dilemmas ... all incidentally , these facts are revealed in scenes about some other action in the plot.
--- Perfect ending --- Perfect music --- Perfect title
-- My first watch was superficial, all about the story, plot, attractive leads, the romance .... Second watch revealed the craftsmanship of what makes it a "major HK classic".
I'll be writing a review of what an action film can do , or be ... Meanwhile, just putting my thoughts down, here.

I had skimmed through it ... but not to the end ... too boring when raw and Johnny not the best actor .... so it was just blahh to me...
I have never seen a lakorn w/ worse directing, writing or acting .... Yet I finished it b/c the plot premise is not bad, Mint C. is very likable as Nark, and I was very interested in Jongsing,
The directing is very bad... Director did not know how to build suspense into scenes .... the scenario for scenes is ridiculous and amateurish ... loads and loads of senseless wasted time, on just walking or staring ..... they were very draggy.
Writing is very bad ... The scenarios for the plot are beyond juvenile .... I felt I was watching a cartoon detective solving cases..... the only reason lead girl appeared so smart is b/c he's so dumb ....
Background music is very ill-fitting ....
The acting for most is very bad .... even normally tolerable side actors were ridiculously over acting here ... Some exceptions: Nott as Jongsing is like an abaration <3<3 .... what is this professional good actor doing among these amateurs???? ..... Mint C. is good as leading lady, she made watching tolerable.
The plot idea is appealing, but very poorly executed ... some likable characters, besides Jongsing and Nark .... wish Danny had more depth ... Peuy In and Mina were underdeveloped, but cute..
If u watch, put it on 1,25x or 1.5x speed and skim watch most episodes.... to speed up the super slow pace and often draggy scenes.
If u want Mafioso w/ innocent yet smart girl ... Morrasoom Sawat is much much much better .... even Mafia Tee Rak (I didn't much like) is much better w/ more appealing lead (Chakrit) and pretty good story and side characters..... KLKNNHJ is also better, for their 2nd couple and good 2nd male lead.... Best Mafia lakorn remains the Rising Sun series.
Not sure if remake .... It probably is, since almost all slap/kiss are remakes (or at least ones w/ this tired old plot trope.) Yet I still like it. Yes, they do tend to slip into physical (even sexual) violence .... I don't like them b/c of the violence, I like them in spite of it .... I am drawn to Love/hate, angst, intensity/passion and complex non-perfect characters.
Edit: Just checked ur list and u've seen Ugly Duckling, U-Prince and Full House ... I recently learned from a Thai person (@Zig) , that those and similar shows on cable networks are not officially called lakorns, since they are youth oriented series .... Lakorns are dramas w/ "drama" and often "melodrama", a different genre.
