For me there is an outstanding young child actor missing in this list:
#1- Xiao Le - (Wen Benny) -- in Autumn's Concerto.... Most memorable... Best child performance!
This is different than the typical period drama .... the characters feel very modern w/ their ideas..... especially Zhi Xia, her adoptive father and Chi Rui ..... The love triangle seemed very modern also.... Plot is intriguing w/ good pace.
All characters are somewhat flawed .... complex and well-developed.
Chi Rui goes thru one of the most wonderful character developments in dramaland!
review to come later ... I wrote one, but was cut-off when published, so I deleted it!
I watched only ep 1-13 and ep 39-40 w/ subs .... the rest I watched raw.....
The story and acting were good enough that I understood most of what was going on.
This is the kind of quirky little movie I am supposed to like .... But I couldn't connect w/ it ... I am not sure why!?
It has elements from Secret and from Our Times, 2 other very good films from Taiwan ... so why didn't I like this?.... probably b/c the characters didn't have depth, although the writers tried.
I really want to like it, but can't :((
Oh No!... Ying Er :(( ... When's he gonna get a decent actress again?... last few have been terrible T__T...my…
@Trouble-chan .... LOL... I won't quable over details, I love both .... Even when I said Yichen has cold exterior, I wasn't complaining at all ... Both are among my top 3 Asian romantic leads <3

He Yi Chen and Lu Li Cheng are very similar .... the only difference b/w them is that YiChen has a cold exterior while LiCheng is mature w/ a playful outgoing side ... Licheng had no psychological issues at all .... simply perfect.
I have liked all characters that Wallace Chung plays .... He has a way of making them manly, confidant, honorable and poised, yet very passionate.
Beautiful and simple, maybe not everyone would agree w/ the conclusion .... but at least she said she hopes the person in reality will meet the person in her dreams.
People think it is confusing, maybe I oversimplified it: some scenes are the reality, others are what she hoped he would be ..... The shedding of the petals symbolic while the veil was lifted and she slowly saw reality for what it was.
This film reminded me of a saying I heard, "I did not love you, I loved the person I thought you were."
I never thought I would dislike a Jackie film .... Even Jackie looked bored and tired in this film, and he didn't do much anyway ... the best acrobatics were done by Rahman.
Script is weak, while stereotypes are strong ... Jackie is lethargic, while Rahman is energetic ... stunts are unremarkable ... villains not scary ... locations like Dubai wasted ... but the ice scenes were nice.
Production unworthy of Jackie ... big let-down.
This synopsis is NOT related to Too Late to Say I Love You .... Two DIFFERENT novels by the SAME author....
Minor similarities, but that is common when an author sticks to a theme!
Very very good .... lovely, funny, honest, deep ...
Yes, it is yet another coming-of-age high school romance but it is done w/ gut-splitting humour, good writing, unique characters and a refreshing approach to reality.
For a directorial debut, there was a couple of genius scenes in this film!
It was slow at times .... but it's Jackie after all ... so the comedy was funny, the stunts worthy of his name, the production quality excellent!!
The last 1/2 hour or so was impressive , I raised my score an extra 1 pt .... Jackie's movies are always worth watching.
Big let down .... Peter Ho is super hot, but cannot save this ___? ___ .... I won't use the word "mess" b/c there wasn't enough story to make a mess ... just a few scenes to introduce the plot among the many action scenes.
Action looks good, but bit exaggerated, over-the-top flashy ..... not enough scenes to build a cohesive plot .... It could have been interesting, but script was very lacking.
If you want Peter Ho in action film, watch Cold Steel, not great, but better than this.
Very funny ... This is really good for a comedy detective story .... and all the pieces fall into place .... I like how everyone is intertwined.... I especially like the end how everything was wrapped up.
I recommend it, if u want funny and light.
