Very Different Lakorn, Mature, unique, reasonable, realistic..... It also has depth, common to older lakorns.Very…
This show made me a fan of Andrew and his acting!... I too drama-stalked him after this.... I like his early work better.
I agree w/ all u said as well ... I love how u describe the 1st kiss .... u r so correct, I didn't see it before... an insightful observation!
You say he is used to everyone bending to his will. True! ... yet I see everyone depending on him, so he must hold back his own desires and frustrations to be strong for everyone else. He had no outlet, no one understood his pain until she showed up, and helped him.
This is a very smart lakorn that did not follow typical formulas or cliches... And Wan's backstory is refreshing (for a lakorn that is).
Love this article... and how u turned it into a statement about traditional roles, discrimination, and female inequality in Japan.
very surprised to find Japan so low in the rankings, I thought they have improved much in last few decades.... I was wrong!
I agree w/ everything said in the review and everything said above ....
Most especially about the lead actress, and the choice of her ... her acting bordered on annoying during her crying fits .... so many K-actresses do that, I wonder if the studios teach them that's a way to garner sympathy ... Ughh!
Also very true, disappointing how they handled the male lead's trauma .... Too simplistic... as you say, childishly addressed.
Over all, the entire thing is light and fluffy, everything handled superficially, no deep complex characters .... I was not bored, nor was I attached ... perfect formula for a rom-com .....
This certainly is not my taste, but I thought I was among a very small minority.
Huo Qu Bing???.... That is the real historical general that Wei Wuji was based on in Sound of the Desert .... I hope his personality is as much fun as Wuji's in SotD.
What a wonderful stalker's guide... thorough, detailed, well-planned ... Obviously took a lot of time and hard work to compose...Well done!
Also, your passion, love and dedication to JCW really comes through.
I am watching this drama, because of Wallace Chung. Chu Bei Jie is the romantic warrior general.
Wallace Chung is the best at playing the Perfect Romantic male lead....No one does it better:
Intelligent, Confident, Passionate yet very Strong and Manly romantic male lead! ... He's my #1
Pride --- good characters, nice development, moving love story...excellent.!
Buzzer Beat --- good kisses
Love Shuffle --- fresh and cool idea ...love the cast.
Taiyou no Kisetsu --- will go on my PTW
Tatta Hitotsu no Koi --- memorable characters, lovely story, emotional, very romantic...excellent.!
I like this... although very typical gangster and his mistress story, even that it is told from the boy's point of view , but the ending makes it different, and a good story ....
Gong Li shines here ... story telling is slow yet interesting ... The friendship of Bijoux w/ the widow and daughter on the island, makes it worth watching.
Gong Li is absolutely ravishing in this movie, well as always (; Honestly I did not expect to fall in love with…
I like this too... Very typical story, but Bijoux's relationship w/ Ajiao and Cuihua makes it different, my favorite part is her befriending them... and her singing w/ Ajiao shows how she bonded w/ her.

Voices aren't dubbed yet in the trailer! :D
But he lived in Taiwan a long time and became their "Little Sun"... I am sure he has a Cantonese accent in Mandarin .... But are you saying he does not speak it well after all these years? or just mainland Mandarin?
