ep 9: damn~ I barely know what to write this week :') I don't always cry with plots or charas crying but here I already teared up when Grandma was singing for Peem (just like I cried when he was cuddling with his mum), cause those scenes already carry so much melancholy in the knowledge that this love will end and the actors portrayed it so beautifully.
And then the epi just got heavier with each scene, I felt such compassion for the cruel fate of Ramphueng (Green did amazing) and in that moment I was honestly ok with Ramphueng wishing death or parting from loved ones on everyone there - but her anger couldn't let it rest with the ones of her own life time and instead she now has become the one causing cruel fates for the innocently reborn...
I wanted to give everyone a hug in this epi, esp Peem, he's trying to keep it together and reason it as 'the flow of life' but atm it doesn't negate the grieve of losing 3 people at once and then Khem parting ... (I understand Khem's POV tho, he came to Peem practically coaxing his way into staying even at a time when Peem didn't want to help him yet and now he feels like his presence caused the death of multiple loved ones) they rlly did well with this epi again, from production to acting and I'm still sitting here with this epi in my mind tearing up ^^ can't wait till next week, but until then I'm glad I also have more lighthearted shows to watch, needed after ep 9 XD
The ML is such a toxic arrogant sick pig and the women on this site love him. Speak volumes. Could not watch him…
...they're enemy warriors from 2 countries literally at war with each other, please simply skip the drama when you can't handle it and kindly Shut it trying to judge others for enjoying fun fiction when you don't even comprehend the simple context & set-up of this drama..
I've seen multiple comments about people feeling uncomfortable with the violence between FL & ML and nobody should force themselves to watch a show that's not their taste, take care of yourself & maybe skip this! Just pls don't bring false equivalence into this: it's not a man beating a woman because 'she doesn't have dinner on the table when he gets home' or whatever mysogynistic reasons men can come up with for abuse, it's very simple: they're both enemy warriors that would literally have killed each other by now if not for their fragile alliance & common goal, which allows them to slowly get to know each other outside a 'death battle' scenario ^^ (if he had treated her as war prisoner of high rank it could've been way worse)
I rlly love their enemies to lovers approach (done right! to my personal taste): they're rlly balanced so far: ep 8 even with misunderstandings and both still being vary of suspected schemes or the fragility of their 'alliance', they both still have that underlying understanding of each other and the slowly growing closeness (despite trying not to care for 'the enemy', they're both so bothered already lol) (threatening to slice each other's neck is becoming their way of flirting, I'm here for it lol).
Just a personal taste ramble: No hate to A Dream Within A Dream ( I love the actors!), but I couldn't warm up to the script of that 'love' story (slight Spoiler below) for 3/4 of the show it was just switching from her suffering to him suffering and her still despising him while he was already in love & ready to die for her, so they only were on the same footing & mutual understanding in the last few epis. while here with Fated Hearts we have them on common ground with mutual hate to mutual understanding from the start :) so I RLLYYYY hope the Fated Hearts script doesn't screw this part up in future epis (pls don't give me novel spoilers) ^^
I'm also invested in the side-charas and I'm glad we get small bits & pieces for them, so they're not just decoration without any depth in the story :)
FL looks too old for ml, she looks like his auntie or what, why can't they find younger looking actress 🙂↔️
are you 12? there are enough dramas with leads that are 18 yrs old or so, the rest of us enjoy a drama now and then with actual adults (they're both still on the young side either way) and they're very well suited for each other ;)
I finally wanted to check this out since Fated Hearts started airing, but I'm struggling to even make it to any of the deeper plot, because the beginning Screams 'romance teen drama'-vibe right in your face: like we just saw half a city be blown up but that's actually irrelevant because what rlly matters is to see FL pining for ML every second of her day for the whole epi?!?!? yeah~ I think I'm shelving this again ^^
i hv watched shadow love so this drama is same concept that wil be boring for me if yes.. any diff?
this is actual enemies to lovers at the beginning, Shadow Love was 2 people not knowing they're enemies falling in love at the beginning ^^ but of course there are some similarities since it'sthe same genre, but very enjoyable to watch if it's your taste ^^
Can I just say This is what we mean when we say We LOVE We NEED ✨️Enemies to Lovers ✨️Goosebumps and giggles…
yesss Ia This is enemies to lovers, A+ just wanted to say: I'm not a novel reader but saw comments that the novel is very different from the show, they only took the novel as inspiration so it's not a 'reading along with the plot' more novel vs show being 2 separate things ^^
This is actual enemies to lovers, in a mutual & balanced way!! with a fun mix of seriousness and cuteness, but no infantilization or cringe humor, more a 'we torture each other to get even and that includes returning that bite' & 'both in absolute denial about thinking the enemy is kinda cute for 0.1 sec' lol
It's also fun that some chara introductions are handled in different ways e.g. FL saving another woman scene is the vibe of 'introducing a heroic love interest' ;)
Very good start: messy family set-up with revenge plot and entertaining layered charas. Offroad is Fine~ in those suites & his arrogant attitude hehe. as much as his brother is probably going to annoy me I couldn't help see the ship potential between brother & his bodyguard lol I was rlly looking forward to this show and they'll deliver on the entertainment & chemistry :)
But let me be nitpicky for a moment: I do hope the production quality will be better in coming epis, it's def not awful, but e.g. the consistency mistakes with the blood and overall some of the cinematography & editing are taking me out of the excitement in the scenes and leave me thinking 'the actors deserve better'.(e.g. towards the end when Offroad comes up behind Daou a good shot would have been to shift the camera-focus between them, instead they struggle to focus the camera on Daou's face at all for a few seconds, Idek why something like this is in the final edit instead of using another clearer take...)
no they were still in the warehouse (39:40) with a lot of blood running down the right side of his face + corner of his mouth & some on the left side of his face, later on (e.g. 40:38) there's no blood and then after the fight just blood on his left side XD
It's not super important for the overall story & doesn't take away from their acting, but it IS a consistency mistake on the make-up artists & director's & editors' side (tho the editors can't save much, if they simply screwed up reapplying his make-up during filming, they can't just simply cut all his scenes XD)
i know it's not going to happen, but i can't have been the only one wishing for bottom pharan the way he climbed…
I agree ^^ we won't get it, but I'll just headcanon them as versatile (same for CharnJet) ^^ personally I like to see charas that feel responsible for everyone & repress their own emotions/needs a lot to be taken care of now and then, Peem is totally in need of that imho, so seeing him being cradled in that scene was A+ to me ;) he's probably also touchstarved considering we saw him cuddle with his mum, but now the only compareable affection left is grandma Si, but he's taking on more the caring role due to her age/sickness ^^
as someone who enjoys watching shows without reading the novels I get that spoilers can be annoying, but don't let it out at the wrong person pls, simply saying e.g. book Khem avoids eye contact compared to show Khem (to explain some of the adjustments & acting) is not a plot spoiler ^^
Ohhhhhh I loved ep 8!! those 2 hours went by so fast and of course they gave us a cliffhanger that makes it difficult to wait a week lol
I rlly appreciate that the show didn't pull some BS to try to make the viewers hate Pong & Prim just to make PeemKhem the only 'good option'. no instead Pong & Prim are good people and in another life might've been good partners for Peem and Khem, they just didn't have the luck of mutual feelings, but still might be able to be friends after sorting the feelings/heartbreak :)
Jet struggling now after 'the heat of the moment' is kinda funny, but also very real ^^ I'm glad Peem finally found the words he wanted to say and was open & vulnerable towards Khem :) It's good to see both couples communicate in this epi!
I'm rlly looking forward to see the tragic past that lead to the curse ^^
I'm avoiding reading comments until I finished the last few epis and I don't want to spoiler anyone else, but I have to scream into the void for 1 sec that I ADORE epi 13!!!! The Acting, the tension, the brilliance of the script to use the same exact dialogue as earlier but the context has now shifted SO much & the delivery of these moments!!!! *chef's kiss*
I think MYZ is a time loop perceiver for sure. However, not sure if he's squid. If he is, how did he know the…
yessss it's all so interesting and Ia on there being at least 2 time loop perceivers ^^
to the: ML died before I understood it as him realizing that his fainting in the lab actually was him dying for whatever for him unexpected reason... but your thought is super interesting too since we don't exactly know how he gained his ability, it's so fun to theorize for this show :)
For new people interested I feel the need to say: If you want lots of action like the 1. epi, this show might not be for you in the long run ^^
It is a 4D chess investigative show that let's the viewer guess along with each new hint & chara. Atm (ep 9) we're on one long & still ongoing case: It's not just a 'who did it' (or more a 'who will do it' considering ML is trying to stop it thanks to time-loops) but also a 'what is everyone up to'. Each epi gives us aspects of the lives of everyone more or less involved in the case, many people are sus in their own ways, so we're on multiple side-quests to try and solve the big picture ...
Tastes are different, personally this show is super entertaining to me & I'm invested with everyone's motives for their actions/their future plans they're trying to achieve & the biotech side :3
Btw: I love that Ding Qi practically has to run from his colleagues & An Lan cause he's super sus with his 'know it all' attitude, but is bad at bullsh*tting 'plausible' answers lol
I wonder why the ratings went down? It changed too drastically in just few hours going from 8.1 to 7.9, while…
yeah the 1-star raters are starting to show up which is frustrating atm (from 8,2 to 7,9), but overall it will balance out when 1000+ people have rated it, if they don't screw up the ending it'll def will be an 8+ overall rating :)
