I don't know if it is just me, but I have been noticing more people using "omega" and "alpha" outside of the BL world more often after ABO Desire got released or more specifically the entire year of 2025 with the release of ABO Desire and Pit Babe 2.
It probably got nothing to do with ABO Desire. I probably just been paying more attention. However, KPOP fans have been using these terms often to describe idols' looks, so I often see stuff like "he looks more of an omega" or "he radiates alpha energy" or "that screams enigmas". Based on their accounts, it looks like some of them (most of them do) don't watch Thai/Chinese BL and they might not watch this show.
To make matters worse (or better lol), a KPOP group from a survival show (Boys 2 Planet) is going to debut next year and their name is Alpha Drive One. ALPHA?! People are already making jokes that their fandom name will be called omegas. Also, one of the members released a song named "ALPHA" before he joined the show and the actor who plays Chen Pin Ming (Xuan Hao) here was on Boys 2 Planet.
Not only was he a clothing model for Douyin, but he was a model for different fields of advertisements (weddings, shavers, cars), a temporary boyfriend for a day, and a pretty popular cartoon video editor.
His resume must be so diverse lol I mean I get that he is taking any job to make a living, but it is so funny that he is specialized in such random fields like these jobs are not entry level, it is immediately deep into unrelated fields LOL now he has main actor for an omegaverse series and a Cpop member on his CV

I think the fans of the second couple wants this too, so that JiangLi will have more screentime. If they are both in a drama, it is most likely that XingQiu will be the lead couple due to both of them being experienced actors and NongJian are a bit biased towards them since their novels have the main leads matching their vibes.
It is a bit sad that the fandoms of the 2 main couples are separated. Most people in both fandoms (maybe it is just the loud people here since people on Twitter/X are pretty peaceful) don't like each other and the couples. It is mainly due to the confused marketing of the show at the beginning, mismatched expectations, and new fandom (usually old fandoms tend to be less aggressive).
However, I don't think they will do separate dramas in the near future. Since all 4 of them are now in the same company that NongJian is in control of for 3 years, it is more efficient to do a drama together rather than separate dramas. There is a rumor that XingQiu's next drama would be main leads in Tenacious Illness (another NongJian's novel). If that is true, there is a side couple in the book, which might be played by JiangLi. I never read the book, so I don't know it the second couple has a lot of scenes more than ShenGao did for this novel. If JiangLi want their own drama, I think NongJian would grant their wish.
Damn I'm watching this series because of second couple but there screen time is 5 second😭
Usually, when I go into a drama for a secondary couple or secondary character, I go into it with an expectation that they will have little screentime, so I don't get disappointed or angry a lot. It always work for me, so maybe it will help for you.
If not, I just start reading fanfic of the couple or character lol
You don't have to watch the show for both couples if you don't want to, by the way. I saw someone reply that. It is enjoyable for some, but not for all.
I am currently making a page for them, but I am not sure if it will be approved since Nong Zai & Jian Zai are not their real names (I think) and they have a lot of roles within the show and I can only put only 1 as original creator.
I think NongJian have a thing for non-related characters with similar surnames.
In ABO Desire, you have SHEN Wen Lang and SHENG Shao You.
In Tenacious Illness (another book of theirs & a possible drama adaptation where Xing & Ding Jie might star in), the main characters are CHU Qiu Bai and CHU Jiang Lai. They have the exact last names and are not related.
It is a bit interesting since authors tend to make their characters not have similar or same last names, unless they are related to each other or it is a huge plot thing.
Also, if the rumor is true about Xing and Ding Jie being in the drama adaptation of the novel, Xing will play another sociopathic character again lol
EDIT: There is also a character named CHU Huani Nan and he is in a ship with Shen Ting. I don't know if Chu Huani Nan is related with Qiu Bai or Jiang Lai or neither. If this show does happen, this character will probably be played by Jiang Heng and Shen Ting will probably be played by Li Pei En.
Seriously, the director and intimacy coordinator needs a raise. Even the not so perfect here and there details…
