Guotu did everything to mask his omega scent during the whole drama that he even developed that life threatening…
Wen Lang didn't mention the scent anymore because he assumed the scent belongs to Gao Tu's omega. He can smell the scent coming from Gao Tu, but he assumes that the scent was on Gao Tu due to his omega partner being in close proximity to him most of the time. Plus, he is trying to not talk bad about omegas in front of Gao Tu since last time he did, Gao Tu immediately resigned.
Usually, alphas tend to know when their omega is pregnant, but Wen Lang being Wen Lang and never been that close to an omega (that he knows of), he is not that good at identifying scents and knowing changes in them.
I thought he was still using some "safer" suppressant?
He is not using any suppressants. The doctor said to him that even the safest suppressant might be dangerous to him due to how serious his condition is.
There will always be more excellent shows in the future trust me 😜
I heard that NongJian and Desire4 are planning another project, but we don't know when or what exactly it is, but there are some rumors here and there (nothing confirmed yet). However, I think we will know more news soon, especially when the drama is over or after the year ends.
i find Shen's character frustrating, how much clueless someone can be? sure he trusts gaotu 100% so what? he was…
Most likely that he was never suspicious. If Wen lang was suspicious, Gao Tu comes up with a lie and Wen Lang believes it completely. The suspicion doesn't last long.
As for why he never investigated Gao Tu's omega partner, I am guessing it is because he was trying to be nonchalant to bury his feelings for Gao Tu. If he were to follow Gao Tu or search up his partner, he would have to come up a reason on why he is doing that and face his feelings. He began trying to investigate his omega partner a bit when he was desperate to make Gao Tu stay, but his investigation attempts were when he asked Gao Tu, so it was never behind his back like he don't want to invade his privacy in secret. His rejection of being in love due to his childhood trauma is keeping him from going any forward with Gao Tu (I think).
The authors could have showcased his cluelessness a bit better, but I have no problem with it nor need any explanation since I am very clueless like him in my love life, so its very realistic to me lol
I think the main flaw in the second couple's development is not in the screen time but in the original story.…
Yeah, I think people assume that more screentime mean more story development. However, you can do a really good story development with little screentime. It is just that the authors are not too interested in giving them more story development, especially towards the end. I am glad they gave them extra scenes though as we get to know their characters a bit more than in the book.
It was VERY satisfying to see Wen Lang pretty much begging for Gao Tu's attention, it was delicious. This just…
Same way a female in our world does. By C-section or by natural birth.
It depends on each omegaverse work and I don't know how exactly it will work here, but usually all omegas have birth canals, so they tend to have a natural birth. As for alphas, their bodies are not made to give birth, so if they get impregnate by an enigma (the only gender who can impregnate them), their body forms a temporary uterus and they have to give birth by C-section since their pelvis & sexual structure is not made for birth.
It is, but there are 2 of them. Nong Zai and Jian Zai are twin sisters, who are known together as Nong Jian. On MDL, you can't make 2 people have the same page.
Woohoo! I was the one who made those pages and they approved. However, I didn't see an update on my points/coins. I was probably not the only one who request a page for the sisters, but they did use majority of my words for the biographies.
Haven't watched today's episode yet. Just wanted to askhow much of Gao Tu's story was shown? Any progress?
He had a lot of screentime. The episode was 45 minutes & 26 seconds long. He appeared for 11 minutes & 0 seconds (not counting his scenes in pictures or when Wen Lang was texting Gao Tu, but counting scenes when Gao Tu was texting Wen Lang). As for LangTu's scenes, they had 25 minutes & 4 seconds of screentime (not including the 1 minute & 5 seconds of a scene where someone was talking about Gao Tu, which can total up to 26 minutes & 9 seconds). This is the most screentime they got in the series by far.
Despite their immense amount of screentime they got and the huge amount of progress they have, they still have a lot of story they need to cover from the book (unless the authors decided to cut a lot of things). We have to wait & find out in the last episode, for sure.
lol it was so funny to have a sudden 3rd person narration
A sudden narration kind of shows a weakness in directing/screenwriting as it showcase the writers' struggles on not knowing how to clearly show a scene to the audience, so they opt to do a narration. However, I don't really mind it since its NongJian's first show and I am more concerned with the plot a bit more than the execution of it sometimes. If they do more shows in the future, I do hope the screenwriting & directing gets better.
He used to worked for a company that provided a service where customers would pay to rent out a male worker to pretend to be their boyfriend. The more you pay, the longer you can rent them for.
Usually, these services don't allow their workers to do physical intimate things like kissing, but hugging and holding hands are okay. Also, if the customer wants to go somewhere like a restaurant or a concert where they need to pay, the customer needs to pay for both of them. This service is mainly popular in Japan, but it is kind of popular in China, especially around the holidays where people want to bring their partners home to their parents.
Gao Qing is so arrogant, she is such a burden on Gao Tu, she shoot her mouth off without knowing the truth. For…
She is an alpha, so she tends to jump into conclusions easily. Gao Tu also didn't tell her everything that is going on between him & Wen Lang and she assumed his silence meant nothing more is there to be said. She does listen to him. It is just that Gao Tu don't want to tell her everything, so he doesn't burden her. Her not knowing everything makes her jump to the wrong conclusions.
She was sick since she was a child and has to be in the hospital for most of her life, so it is not like she wants to lay around and watch her brother spend money on her. Now that she is not sick anymore, she immediately starts helping Gao Tu.
And are there no hippa laws in China?! They pissed me off telling Gao Tu's dad all his business. Now I'm concerned…
HIPAA is only in the U.S. China have its own system called the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) that came into law back in 2021, so it is really recent.
I don't know how exactly it works, but according to a quick Google search, it looks like it works the same way HIPAA works, but a bit stronger. However, this show is in a different world from us, so medical laws might be different. I heard that one of the sisters (authors, directors, & screenwriters) is a lawyer or went to law school, so they should know a lot about medical privacy laws. Maybe they remove the law for convenience sake or the law works differently than how I viewed it to be.
He was a worker for a company where he would provide the "Rent a Boyfriend" service. People would pay for him for any amount of time up to a day (the longer they want him, the pricier it is) for him to pretend he is their boyfriend. Services tend to include going on dates, talking, and basically hanging out (whatever the spender wants to do).
If the spender wants to do something that involves spending money like going to a movie, the spender has to pay the cost of admission for both people. Also, these services usually prohibit very intimate acts like kissing, but hugging & holding hands are usually okay. These services tend to be very popular in Japan, but I think it is also popular in China too.

I don't know why it says 15 on there. Maybe they will change it when episode 16 gets nearer.
I heard those terms used to describe men before outside of Kpop like an alpha male, but never in Kpop until now.
