The YT comments are always positive. I wonder if negative comments are locked there, as they do with the thumbs…
It gets bad after episode 4, then it takes a nosedive around episode 9 or 10. It comes back a little bit for Episode 14. I gave it a 6.5/10, but only because I love the guys who played Em and Name. And because I think the guy who played Champ is such a good actor and I feel bad for him being in this. So, I was generous with the ratings. I think most people would give it a 5 or 6 out of 10 and only because the first episodes are pretty good.
Also I hope Mean learns where his talents are in the future... and it's not acting....
He isnt a great actor but he isnt bad either. I think he is a much better director. Have you seen the Yearbook? BTW according to MDL, he didn't direct Remember Me.
Ok. I’m here for a sanity check. I’m the most jaded and cynical BL watcher. From making up BL Sponge Bath…
Mike, it is not just you. I am the same way except I do enjoy HS BLs if well done. I like Love Sick and MIR, but this is at another level.
BTW I see you have an american sounding name. If you are in the US or are a US native, we have a Facebook page called USA BL Fans, in case you want to get to know more american fans of BL ;) We do bi-monthly online meet ups to talk about BL series and other fun activities
This isnt as bad as ppl here make it sound. Not the best bl i have seen, but not the worst. It is cute and fluffy. The bad guys are morons. I liked the ending.
"not that I am looking for the meaning of life in a BL"I think, this series is not BL. Who, actually, claimed…
I think you mean "straight boys falling in love with straight boys". The strict definition of BL can't include any reference to gay or queer. (Modern BL does include queer characters but you are saying you want to be strict with the definition).
This relationship between Gun and Golf is just poorly written. I've known plenty of couples with extreme work…
The logic in this series has gone out the window. Nothing make sense anymore. I am so close to giving up on this series. It is bad. Really bad.
What I found the most frustrating is that Golf reacted to Gun's proclamation that they breakup with utter and total silence. Why? He should at least ask WHY? Why do you want to break up? Why can't we make this work? What do I have to do to please you? Shouldn't he be mad?
This series reminds me of the Pitch Meeting Screenrant's youtube series. I can see Producer guy asking "Why?" and writer guy saying "so the series can happen". There is no rhyme or reason to the characters actions anymore. They are one dimensional characters and the only reason they exist is to move the plot forward.
Oh not another "Mean is homophobic" comment (ROLLS EYES).You do know that he directed The Yearbook, which is a…
You are right, BL is just another genre. So, whats so wrong when an actor wants to do OTHER genera? What is wrong with saying they wont do BL anymore? How is that homophobic?
It's just a weird BL with virtually no romance, even among a gay "married" couple. I just feel kind of numb at…
I agree with you in most of your points BUT I disagree that the music is terrible. The music is beautiful, but it is use as a leitmotif is excessive and LOUD.
The break up of Gun and Golf is just too quick. Anyone that's been in a long term committed relationship should…
I am a gay man, who is in a long term relationship, married with no kids. We both work and have to make time for each other. I am pretty sure I don't know anyone who hasn't felt taken for granted. Gun and Golf should be able to fix their problem without resorting to breaking up. I agree with you that this is angst for angst's sake. It is not that real couple don't go through this, but that real couples don't usually solve their problems by breaking up without first trying to talk things out.
And I agree, after the time jump, where they ever happy?
We have an online meet up planned in two weeks or so. I hope you can attend. I will post additional info about it on the group soon.
