After the first 3 episodes I had thought this series would be another favorite. Now I have to admit it is far…
Oh not another "Mean is homophobic" comment (ROLLS EYES).
You do know that he directed The Yearbook, which is a proper BL? Also, according to the current information on MDL, Mean IS NOT the director of this series. I think he was listed as producer at one point, but I am not sure anymore.
The Yearbook is based on a short that Mean wrote and directed when he was in film school, which means that BL has been something he has been interested in for some time.
Name talks and his friend act like nothing happened.
I literally just played with my phone while Mean's scenes played. I like Mean, but this storyline is BORING. The whole "let's find out where Chompu is!" just was so stupid.
I swear if they are going to keep playing Em and Name is a bromance I am going to go to Thailand and smack some sense into whoever wrote this screenplay. They deserve physical punishment. LOL
The karaoke joke about Name talking made me want to throw something at my TV.
I have no idea what happened to Golf. Or Champ. Those wigs just put me off.
It felt like it took Nan 1 year to find Chompu. In real life, most men would have given up on her.
I think it is time Golf and Gun make babies. This series needs some fire. LOL
Yeah he's kinda become the Kevin Bacon of Thai bl's. The six degrees of Tonnam.
I like to play Six Degrees of Love Sick. This series has Mean in it, who was in Love By Chance, who was directed by New who was an Assistant director in Love Sick.
:)
Tonnam was in Love in The Air, but he was also in UWMA. Samantha Melanie Coates was also in UWMA and she was one of the supporting actresses in Love Sick.
Yacht from Dear Doctor was in ReminderS, which had White and Captain from Love Sick. BTW Mean was on it too.
I'm so confused.. are the wigs meant to be a joke or do they seriously think they look good ? I'm so confused…
I think it is supposed to be part of the setting of the series. Most be that in Thailand in the early 2000s, guys had long hair. I mean, here that was the 80s, but I guess in Thailand it was the 2000s. IDK that's all I can think of.
I wish I could rate this higher than 7.5 but the second half get me mixed feelings towards the story. I don't…
Its the time jump. Also, the series reaches its climax early on. Basically, you can stop watching after episode 6 or halfway through episode 7 and you had be OK.
This series was really good, but it seems it lost track of its thematic elements midway through and because of this, anything that happened post-climax seems pretty meaningless. Heck, even the climactic scenes felt like they never delivered with the exception of Seefon's disappearing (maybe? even that one felt a bit weak).
Nah, I think the end game is Green-Maitoh and Shogun-Maitee
I thought they had chemistry and I thought he flirted with Shogun while trying to distract him, so IDK. However, I agree that Shogun showed no interest in him, but who knows.
Episode 8-Well, at least someone finally smashed lips. Its been kissus interruptus for 8 episodes and that joke…
I think Shogun will end up with the brother. Maybe?
Slomo kisses are definitely so 2013...
Thanks for coming up with the term. I was struggling with it for a while. Kiss interruptus? Osculum Interruptus? Kissus interruptus is one everyone can understand LMAO
Indrytimes can deliver if she wants to. Its definitely the networks that screw things up. Where is this airing at?
What is will all the incessant commentary about the science? Are you serious with this? In Cutie Pie a CEO made…
This series plot has more holes than swiss cheese. That has nothing to do with suspension of disbelief. This is just very badly written. On top of that, it seems they stuffed those plot holes with cringe. Lots of cringe.
I can suspend my disbelief for a second an believe the moon will crash onto the planet, but the cringe in this is starting to get out of hand.
Those folks here defending this series are overlooking MANY LOGICAL flaws:
1) Internal Inconsistency. We are told the world will end, but they are also looking for a shelter. What exactly will end then? Also, why are characters so blasé about this? 2) The world is ending in less than one week and they are getting condoms? 3) How long does that lady need to have her curl rods on? 4) Art is so relaxed and happy that he has time to read a book, leisurely, while government keeps blasting the "world is ending" announcement? 5) How long was the guy in the store dead for that he was still moving? How did he die? There was no blood anywhere 6) How did Gus jumped from INSIDE the bedroom to OUTSIDE the bedroom so quickly in Ep 5? 7) In the beginning of EP5, the moon is HUGE, taking up most of the sky. Then later at night, they show the moon as being really small, like a normal regular moon at night.
The editing is also kind of choppy, with a scene followed or preceded by an unrelated scene with no transition or cues from the mis-en-scene to guide us as to where we are or why we are there.
On top of that there are the little things that bother me, like why did Gus and Golf had sweaty shirts in one scene, but the shirts were dry on the next scene. At first, I thought the sweat was part of the scene, but then it disappears. On the following scene, and while they wear a different shirt, they are sweating again. Now I know it is just hot in Thailand and the director didn't care about it or about the continuity between scenes. I kept also thinking, where did Gus get that nice set of clothing? Wasn't he in jail? And where did Art get all those really nice and well fitting clothing? I thought he was wearing Golf's clothing. Then I start thinking about who is running the electrical grid if everyone is out and then I realize this writer put zero thought on any of this, and I go back to the fact that I am OK with all these little issues, but the cringe fest that was that rooftop serenade and all the things I listed above, just makes me say, "no more"....
(I am dropping it for now, but I will keep my eye out for spoilers to see if I do come back just to watch the good stuff and maybe the ending .)

Six degrees or less, of Love Sick ;)
Who can resist Boy?

It is such a simple story, but the acting, directing and writing is so good.
I loved this so much. Just loved it.
