Funny thing is I consider Cutie Pie to be pretty much trash. I mean, it has its moments, but it ranks very low for me. LBC has some good and some bad and then some really bad, though I do like Perth in it. Of the ones you rated high, only SCOY and TT would also have a similar rating for me.

I think you just have very different taste.

Sad that you don't stand Tagalog. As a Hispanic, I love to hear the language. It reminds me of the sexiness of Portuguese. Gameboys and Boys Lockdown are among the best BL series I have seen, period. In fact, Gameboys is a top 5 contender for me. Seeing it seems you rate skin higher than plot, I don't think you would like either, though Gameboys The Movie does show them having sex and Boys Lockdown has a lot of shirtless scenes. LOL

Anyway, Remember Me is starting to stagnate in these last couple of episodes, but I do hope it redeems itself. Crossing my fingers.

You really seem to dislike Thai BL. With the exception of Between Us, all the the Thai BLs you have watched have a low rating in your list. And you have not watched any of the classics, or the really bad ones from the Philippines. All this to say, you still have not seen anything yet if you think this is terrible. You should watch Rainbow Prince, the first episode of Love Sick, My Tee (which i love but has the worst audio ever), Waterboyy the series, With Love, Skinship 1 and 2, Sakristan, and the list goes on.

I agree. A healthy discussion is good. I think I now understand where you are coming from and I actually agree. That aspect of the fan service is toxic. I think I have become more jaded and disconnected from the "news" aspect of BL (e.g. gossip) because it is so murky. Fan service blurs the lines between reality and fantasy. I have even stopped listening to a youtuber who I used to listen to, in order to get all the "news" about BL. I no longer know much about what is coming down the pipeline anymore, unless I read about it in FB or here.

As a gay man, I find the "gay for pay" moniker to be a bit cringey, especially when used for BL. In the context of porn, it is bad for a whole lots of reasons, but in the context of BL, it is bad mostly because kissing a guy as an actor is not really being gay. If you are referring to the fan service, I sort of get why you want to use the term, but it is really cringe. Gay people in Thailand are still not fully out and to call these actors gay because they are exchanging glances and smiling or hugging other guys in public, really just devalues the struggles that gay ppl have. This is the same reason that I am very careful when I applaud the activism of allies like Max and Tul, who genuinely seem to care about gay ppl and don't portray themselves as gay, vs the fake weddings of say, New and Tay, which are super cringe and totally more about fan service than genuine activism.

You have some good points. I like the Em and Name story, but I admit, it has some issues. The screenplay has left much to be desired in terms of the development of Name as a character and Em's reactions to Name's advances.

Has Mean said he is straight? I don't get that vibe from him.

But the person who shot the guy was the lady, not the guy, right? And the other guy didn't have a gun either. I guess they are accomplices but we don't know what exactly is going on yet.

Actually, that is a good rating. The other JaFirst series, Don't Say No, has the same exact rating at the moment (7.7). As a rule of thumb, anything above 8 is either just started airing or is amazingly good. Anything between 7 and 8 is good, OK or amazingly good but with some flaw. Here the "flaw" is that Mean wears the most distracting wigs ever. LOL

But this is among my favorite currently airing series. It also has made me cry multiple times. The JaFirst story seems pretty generic, but the EmName story (ManTitle) is VERY good.

First episode was boring. Second episode is much better. Pacing could be better in general and the writing is uninspired and unoriginal. However, on the second episode the BL story starts to unfold and we get to see a glimpse of the second BL couple. Acting is pretty good.

I am giving it at least 2 more episodes before I decide to drop it.

I see so many people commenting on how cute this is. It is super cute. It is also brilliantly done.

But episode 3 made me cry. My cat passed away due to cancer (I had to put her down) and my dog just got diagnosed with cancer and her leg will have to be amputated. I am dealing with all kinds of guilts, and all kinds of feelings and then this comes out. That scene where Milk tells Jung Woo that their biggest worry was that he would be sad for a long time just broke me. I get emotional just thinking about it.

This is definitely at another level for me. I am loving this for so many reasons. As a pet owner, this is really a fantasy in so many levels. How I wish I could have a conversation with my pets, especially the ones that have passed.

I think I am gonna need emotional support when this is done airing.

LOL IDK I think I get him though... I had to put my cat down because she had cancer and I had all kinds of guilts for the longest time. I would say that was one of the hardest things to do in my life and the though of my cat coming back as a human and telling me that her biggest worry was how I handled her death would just make me cry a river. Which is why I cried so much on this last episode.

I like to think that if my cat came back in the form of a human ***I WOULD KNOW***. I think that's the point here. He just knows.

I am enjoying this. And seeing Ufa again... yay! He is such a hottie...

This series is getting interesting. If Tang and Neo end up together, it would be very cool. Neo not saying "I don't like men" in Ep 4 made me happy. He didn't acted homophobic, so much as annoyed. The friends being supportive of Fei was also pretty cool. Unlike The Effect, in which we never know if the lead was gay or not, here it will be clear that Neo is gay (hopefully) and that he didn't like Fei but he does like Tang (crossing my fingers). :) I also hope we get a happy ending because Fei's death was sad. He was a bit mess up, but he is a teenager in love, his behavior wasn't pathological, just part of the hormone-fueled intense angst of teenage love. But besides that, I would like to see a happy ending for Tang and Neo.

hahaha yes! He does. Didn't he did it in his dream with Noh in OMSN? That scene was super hot. Ufa needs a role with less clothes, more kissing and a happy ending for him. LOL

You made a good point about symbolism. I would need to watch the entire series to decide if it is one or the other.

I think this will be on WeTV, which I am currently not subscribed to, so we will see if I decide it is worth my time and money to watch the whole thing.

I will finish episode 1 some time next week most likely.

As I said, thus far, my only opinion is that it is boring and seems unrealistic.
