The scene with Burger taking his shirt off? Right? I can't remember that scene well, but if that's what it was,…
Yeah, I watched that scene again. I think you got confused. So, King (who is 18 I think?) takes his shirt off. That particular part of the scene takes maybe a few seconds at most. Then he goes to Burger, who refuses to takes his jacket off. King forces him and eventually succeeds. Burger quickly covers himself. I think that unless you pause the video, you barely get a peek at him shirtless. So, I am not sure what you are talking about. You are probably confusing the King scene with the Burger scene.
Or maybe I re-watched the wrong scene?
So no, for me it was fine. IDK I am a guy. I go to the gym. I don't really see anything sexual with that scene at all. It was done playfully. It was kind of cute and funny. Burger looked like a little kid. He was super embarrassed. For me, I didn't find it exploitative.
You can complain about the scene were he is in bed with King. I re-watched that scene too today. I will grant you that it was sexual. However, it took not even 1 second. I think that was on purpose. They probably didn't want to get in trouble. Having said that, a similar scene that takes place way longer in Make It Right, had a 15 year old actor playing the role of Tee... So, while it would have been controversial, it wouldn't be illegal or get censored in Thailand....
my brain literally cannot process what i’ve just watched. first of all, i didnt completelyyyy hate the show.…
The scene with Burger taking his shirt off? Right? I can't remember that scene well, but if that's what it was, didn't he do it sort of in a weird, awkward way, and he went kind of slowly, then pause or something? I thought it was meant to be "sexy" for King but not the audience. I didn't get that it was perverted or anything but maybe I am recalling the wrong scene or I just didn't think that way.
I think the word you are looking for is exploitative. But no, I don't think that scene was exploitative. If anything, they have treated that actor with a lot of respect. He plays the cutest, most innocent character.
16 year olds don't wear shorts, be shirtless or have sex? Really?
I understand this concern but on the other hand, I am a bit uncomfortable with the idea that when a minor dresses a certain way it means someone will think dirty thoughts and that somehow that someone's dirty thoughts is the fault of the minor dressing in a certain way. People with dirty minds will always have dirty thoughts, even if you wrap said minor in thick black bubble wrap and only let his eyes be visible. If you say "he/she is a minor", the pedo's eyes will still light up in delight. THEY ARE THE PROBLEM, not the minor.
I hope that made sense!
And BTW, yes they are portraying minors but to be clear, only the guy playing Burger is a minor IRL. Well, at least the other ones are 18+.
Pure is not so pure. Just tell me which school is this, where there nickers are just an excuse for thongs. Which…
I cant answer for sure why the shorts are so short, but in most other series, the shorts are this short. Love Sick, MIR, and i think (not sure) in my gear and your gown they were also this short.
This is a private school so maybe its different, as all of the BLs i mentioned take place in private schools
I thought that it was a good episode. The pacing was good. Editing is still an issue, but the story did make sense and the twist at the end got me because I wasn't expecting that. I still like Ken. But apparently, I am alone on this. I think he might be bisexual, but he hasn't come out as such and everyone assumes he is gay, so maybe he is. He definitely has issues, but I still like him better than Matteo. I think Matteo is not genuine. The way they are treating all the female characters is terrible. While Love Sick had some good female characters, Make It Right had 0 positive depictions of females. This series is similar in that sense. No surprise that it is directed by a MIR alumni. I don't know if Prim jumped or not, but that scene just before she jumped made me a bit uncomfortable. I don't think she is being treated fairly by Ken, but what is worst is how she is being treated by her current boyfriend (who didn't even try to defend her) and the writers of this show, who seem to be --literally-- willing to push her off a cliff (or the ith floor of the school) as long as she is out of the life of Hida and Saint so they can have their happy BL ending. Ken's ex may be evil, but she is also apparently treated as a second-class citizen because she is a bit darker. Why introduce such critical social commentary on the next to last episode and treat it as a footnote? And also make us not really sympathize with the character? They should have had one scene at least with Burger and King. It felt weird that they were not in this episode.
Is this even from a real person? This account was created today just to comment that?!! 🤨
Some ppl just don't like school BLs. They don't connect with them. As a gay man in his 40s, I love them because it is a fantasy for me to imagine "what if...." society had been more accepting when I grew up. I find younger gay ppl and women don't always like this type of BL, but older gay men do, so it may come down to your own life experiences.
The question about chemistry is fair but the issue is that one needs to define chemistry first. I find that chemistry is a very subjective thing too. For me, I love the chemistry these two have. Its light and wholesome and fits the type of BL. In Moonlight Chicken I feel like the chemistry is more intense and fits that series style better. Actually, Forth is a pretty good actor. Gemini is very good too, but I think Forth is a lot better IMO. I had say this: Gemini is more natural in the dramatic scenes, and has good comedic timing. Forth has more range and can do certain things very well. I think Forth needs more time to reach his potential. IDK if Gemini will get better or just stay at the same level, but I think Forth will grow into a better actor. Just my opinion :)
I am trying to find the explanation why TinnGun love is just so believable and relatable that all of us are going…
That's because in this series there is no real Seme. I mean, Tinn is the Seme sort of maybe? but in reality they both pursue each other. If anything, the Uke's in this series are less passive and much more active and involved in their relationship. This is more like real life. I hope this series spells the death of the Uke archetype in BL because I personally despise the way Ukes are portrayed in most BLs.
They did that already with 2gether: The Series with the big reveal of Sarawat's love for Tine. That series being…
What do you refer to? Sarawat first liked Tine, then Tine slowly fell for Wat. Very slowly and very hard to understand why. Also Wat was always cold, even after the "big reveal".
Here it is very different from what they did in 2Gether. I see very few similarities between the two, other than things that are not really original to 2Gether, but just formulaic for BL in general. The "big reveal" trope, if that is what you are referring is a trope we see in BL and is not unique to 2Gether. Love Sick the series skipped it, but in the book it is revealed that Phun has liked Noh since forever. I believe the same thing happened in MIR. In 2Moons it is the core of the MLs story. When it happens, just like in 2Gether, it is the seme who has always been in love with the Uke.
This is different here in a major way, because Tinn is revealed to like Gun from the first episode, and the feeling is quickly reciprocated. That is what makes the show unique.

I think Hook is just more catchy and that's why its more of a hit. Personally, I like Fourth voice better.
