Not since Love Sick, MIR, My Tee or IPYTM.

There are only a few high school BLs. My Only 12% is a recent one, but the structure and storyline are quiet different. Nevertheless, Santa (one of the MCs) is as charismatic as Fourth IMO.

Love Sick and Make It Right are both HS BLs, but the production values are low and may put you off.

The other GMMTV HS BL was My Gear and Your Gown, thought only half of it takes place in HS or so.

Bad Buddy also takes place over the span of several years, including HS. Gemini and Fourth do a cameo in Bad Buddy.

My Tee is an HS BL with very low production values. It does have a similar vibe in the sense of being a bit more queer aware than other BLs. Phuwin and Neo are on it but the MLs are Frank and Drake.

If you are looking for something comparable in quality, I had suggest Bad Buddy, Moonlight Chicken, I told Sunset About You, I Promised You The Moon (WARNING: DEPRESSING) and He's Coming To Me (Warning: YOU WILL CRY).


I probably have other suggestions but those are the first to come to mind.

We can't say anything until it is released. Newyear was in HBL and he didn't have to do anything too crazy.

Heck, P'Andy was involved in MIR which had Ohm do some raunchy stuff and Ohm was 15 (16 in S2 in which he actually almost had a 3Some). I am not saying that was right, but it wouldn't be the first time. Also, have you guys seen Waterboyy the movie?

Yeah, I suspect so too. What I think is that it depends on what you look for in chemistry. For me, you can have chemistry even if all you do is hand holding and hugging. Like, I think Captain and White had great chemistry in Love Sick.

On the other hand, you can have bad chemistry even when there is kissing and fake love making involved. For me that would be New and Earth in Waterboyy. The chemistry was meh.

So I define chemistry in two ways. From a viewer perspective, it is how believable the couple is. Do I believe these two characters in real life would be together? When they kiss and when they hold hand, do they look like they want to eat each other out?

From the actor and director perspective, it is both how comfortable the actors are with each other and how comfortable the director makes them look. That will depend a lot on many factors that the director has control over. Thus, chemistry is about 50% on the actors and about 50% on the director. Some actors are so good, it doesn't matter anything else, like Ohm. Ohm can have chemistry with a wall. Some directors are so great, they can create chemistry were none was before, like Aof.

Those are some good points.

I need to pay more attention to the rest of the cast. IDK. To me he is maybe a notch above the rest of the cast in terms of overdoing it, but not much more than that. Mike is not too different, maybe not as loud. Fluke is playing this as a comedy, at least for now. The one older lady at work is too.

But I will pay a little more attention to this next time and will let you know what I think!

IDK Kate. I actually have met people like him. Cher is someone who likes to talk because he doesn't like silence. About the only thing I found wrong with his characterization is that his family dynamics felt off. I don't think the parents he has are the parents I imagine a guy like him would have.

Remember, Cher is a youtuber and content creator. He likes to talk so much he started that AMSR channel. He is a famous gamer. He is used to being in the spotlight.

For me, I find that I can suspend my disbelief. I find Cher cute and adorable. Is he a bit annoying? Yes. But he is also confident and mature. This is also a comedy and I think his characterization is good. I didn't watch Enchante, but it seems to me that Book would be OK in anything comedic.

This is a serious question. Define chemistry. What do you mean when you say they don't have chemistry?

Are the kisses awkward? Do they look uncomfortable together?

I keep seeing ppl comment about the actors chemistry and many times I don't see it. Sometimes they say they have chemistry when I see none, and other times they say they don't have chemistry when I think they are OK.

So I am curious to know what is it about this couple that makes you think they don't have any chemistry...

This is a character-driven story, which is rare in BL.

I was left with a lot of happy feelings, so I am not sure why you didn't feel good after watching it. The series is really about people who have built walls around them for a variety of reasons and in the end they allow those walls to break down and allow others to enter into their lives. I can't think of anything more uplifting. It is such a rare thing for BL to explore such a universal aspect of the human experience (other than love itself)

I see a couple of folks here comparing him to Nanon Korapat. Well, I agree that he is as good of an actor as Nanon is now, but the person who Fourth reminds me of the most is Ohm Pawat. Fourth is now 18 and he was 17 when he filmed MLC. Ohm was around that same age when he filmed Hes Coming To Me. Both MLC and HCTM are Aof's series. Both did a great job playing young gay men. HCTM was a bit more demanding in terms of the acting, but after seeing Fourth in both MLC and MSP, I can safely say he is as good as or better than Ohm was at that age. I know that's a huge statement, especially considering we haven't really seen Fourth do a real crying scene like we saw Ohm in HCTM, but the range that Fourth has shown is impressive.

Many people would argue that Nanon, Fluke or Gun are the best actors in Thai BL. I would argue that Nanon and Fluke have not shown to me that they can do comedy very well. Gun has done action and some comedy, but I think the sincerity and goofiness that Ohm can bring to a character is unique in Thai BL. And I would argue that Fourth has those same qualities. He can do comedy, and drama very well. He brings sincerity to his performance that can reminds us of Ohm or Nanon. To top it off, he can be goofy and silly, like Ohm or Gun.

Does he still have room to grow? Yes. However, considering that we are talking about him being at the same level or almost at the same levels as Ohm or Nanon is already impressive. Consider that Ohm actually went to acting school, while Nanon comes from an acting family, we are really setting the bar very high.

Finally, I have to add the way Fourth talks about acting also reminds me of Ohm a little bit. I watched him doing an interview in which he made fun of Gemini for not remembering his lines and for sometimes getting distracted by the food in a scene. He is hyper focused and more concerned about the acting than anything else. As I said before, of all the "child actors" I know of, Ohm is the only one I know that has gone on to study acting in college (I think Gun did too but I am not sure). So like Fourth, he is serious about his craft.

The Warp effect has a lot of GL in the sense that one of the couples is a lesbian couple. It is not IMO stylized like a BL, so IDK if I had go as far as calling it GL, but you may think otherwise.

I thought the lesbian couple in BB was definitely a GL. Their story was made in the same style as a BL.

I should also add that the first GL I ever watched was the spin off from Gameboys, Pearl Next Door.

Sorry, I got confused. I was thinking GAP the series, which is the first Thai GL I know of and for some reason I thought it aired on GMMTV channels.

The things with GAP is that it didn't had another ML couple or at least they didn't make too much of the MLs.
