exactly and that's the facts... but they will never admit it... justin or eli have no shown any interest in each…
To me is not that he looks young. I mean, he is very handsome, so don't get me wrong, but the more I learn about his character the more I think he is a plot device devoid of any personality. He is flat. And boring. LOL
There is nothing wrong with his looks anyway. I think he is a cutie.
I think its bc he looks older but idk. I think he is cute. At first, i didnt find him that attractive but the more i see of his character, the more i like him. Nikko is super sweet.
Still can't believe I didn't drop this ! I'll start with the things I didn't like so I can end this on a good…
Thats funny. The thing you didn't like is exactly what I like. Every BL pretends to give us the "surprise" twist that the Seme likes the Uke. Well, its not a surprise if it happens in every BL. I loved that they didn't pretend and just said it out right. :)
I think that the fact they were able to focus for the other 11 episodes on how they get together and how much they love each other made it all the better. Plus the real dramatic tension is on whether they are able to be out in the open and whether Tinn's mom accepts him.
You are right about the target audience. The majority of the watchers are from the younger generation but that…
See how I am replying to you now? The comments are nested when you reply to someone. Mine was nested under A_Okay (just like your reply to him/her/them was). It appears under yours because its part of the same thread and I replied to A_Okay AFTER you replied to him/her/them, but I wasn't replying to you.
I know I could tag, but I haven't figured how to do it yet :D
Oh, he is more than a personal friend of the producer, he is a producer himself. He is one of the bosses ;) Nothing here happens without him saying its ok.
No, the issue (for me at least) is not that he is the Uke (I am not even sure if he is) but that he is presented…
I actually asked, and someone did say that in The Philippines, it would be rare to get tattoos in HS. The same person also pointed out that in conservative SEA culture, it would be something people will tend to look down on.
I don't have tattoos and I don't really like them that much, so maybe that's why I paid attention. The camera also focused on his tattoos at one point when he first walked in.
It would be interesting if it ends up playing a part in the story.
I think Taglish is natural in Manila, though you may be right that English may be seen as a language of higher…
Nice! Cool to know another fellow Ameican! We have a group on facebook called the USA BL fans if you are interested (and if you have facebook). You can looks us up!
I think the number one reason ppl blend languages is because its extremely easy to use the first word that comes to mind (or the easiest).
After reading up on the development and usage of "Taglish," the use of Tagalog and English together within conversation…
I think Taglish is natural in Manila, though you may be right that English may be seen as a language of higher prestige.
As a native speaker of Spanish, I am aware of code switching and the use of english by speakers of spanish.
If bilingual speakers didnt alternate between languages, would they be able to speak both languages well? Idk. In Puerto Rico ppl will speak English in the metro area mixed with their spanish and often the use of english has the same objective: to denote the intelligence and/or bilingualism of the speaker.
I dont mix my languages, but i have no problem with those who do.
Ep 4 was a big improvement - mostly because there was no Raynold Tan trying to be a bad boy. He's got smoldering…
No, the issue (for me at least) is not that he is the Uke (I am not even sure if he is) but that he is presented as a nerd and a super ace student who is also the school president or something. He is a rule follower. He is also in HS and most kids in Hs dont get tattos.
I was glad they addressed the issue directly in ep4 and tried to incorporate it into the character. They should have done that in ep1.
If you haven't watched Love of Siam and you are a fan of BL, you should because it is the grandfather of Thai BL.
New (the director) loves paying homage to Love of Siam. He also did it in Reminders ;)
