When Solo asked Gui to move in after like a week of being bfs, who else thought "is solo a lesbian?" Lol
Gay men joke that lesbians move in together like the next day after they start dating. I know, damn the stereotypes. But it is a funny joke that even my lesbian friends say is sort of true.
You reflect my opinion exactly. The problem with Solo is that you can desribe his expression as flat in a novel…
Thank you. These are my thoughts exactly. I do hate Khim so much I haven't watch any of her scenes.
I like the junior doctor. He is super cute.
Kao taking his shirt off was the reason I took back the show after dropping it at the end of Ep 3. A friend posted pics of that scene with a shirtless Kao and a nice crutch view of him lol. Anyway, I decided to watch.
So yes, Kao is the only reason I am watching. I needed Oxygen in that scene. That boy is damn fine. Very very fine. ;)
I'm only here for Kao-Phu my sexy bunniesPlus Petch is an asshole. Poor petchSkipped most part of Khim, so annoying...
Lol u and I both! I was frustrated with this show and I blamed it mostly on Solo but then his story got a wee bit better and I realized it was Khim who really made the show bad. I now ff her scenes and voila, here I am. I watched all the way to the last ep!
I'm sorry but I find the plot between Khim and Petch so dumb...
So I dropped it after ep 3 then went back and started watching again. I just skipped over the Khim plot and it has worked well!!! Everytime she is on screen I fast forward!!!!
Not my favorite but definitely not the worst thing I've seen... I gotta admit though, the repeated use of "baby"…
Good points...
My husband uses the word babe, which I didn't like at first. However, after 13 years of being together, it feels normal. He is the only person in the world who has ever called me babe and I am now 100% ok with it. I sometimes call him babe, but like you I am not big on nicknames so I like to call him by his name. Interestingly, I am not allowed to call him baby. He hates that word. I use to use that nickname with my previous partners but not with him ;)
So I am OK with Gave and Cai calling each other baby. However, like you, it grated my ears at first a little bit...
1st Filipino series I've ever seen and I was very impressed. Given the fact it was filmed on iPhones and the Covid-19…
Just to suggest some other good Pinoy BLs.... I am currently watching My Extraordinary, and I like it. I also watched (but didn't finished), Hello Stranger. It is good, just not as quick paced as Gameboys.
I would say, avoid Sakristan (terrible ending and the acting is all over the place).
Oh, I also recommend My Day but TBH it is not everyone's cup of tea. I personally love Miko and Aki and think they have the best chemistry of all the new BL couples of 2020 (including Thailand). This is an ongoing series so IDK how it will end but so far it has had some excellent moments and some meh moments but overall I like it.
I feel bad for the actors. The extent they're willing to go (THEY HAD SEX FFS) for the show is so commendable,…
They didn't have sex, they fake kissed. OK, maybe they did kiss for real LOL but they didn't have sex.
You have a good point. It is the weakest link in this show: the tone seems to be inconsistent: one time it is a disney fairy tale, another time it is a classic BL and yet another time it is pure YAOI fantasy.
I like it but it is far from perfect and you are right that the script seems to be one of the biggest issues.
The chemistry between Miko and Aki saves it for me thought.... :)
Was this series produced by the Vatican? It has to be the most homophobic "BL" series I've ever seen. Pai seems…
Well, can we differentiate between the show being homophobic and the show reflecting a homophobic society?
While I agree this show seems a bit "old fashioned" in its depiction of gay romance and homosexuality, I don't think I would go as far as calling it homophobic.
Besides, one can't judge a show as homophobic or having a homophobic message until you watch the entire show to see how it ends.
Have you seen Jennie bang pulled back? You can tell she was born a male.here an pichttps://s3-ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/wpimages.shopspotter.in.th/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/23235104/jenny_12.jpg
Take note of what I said exactly.
I think once you are past a certain point in your transition, you embrace your gender identity and it becomes part of your true self. I don't think it is impossible to switch back and forth but the true self always show.
Jennie is a woman through and through. That is her real self as far as I can tell. Of course, we would have to ask her, but that's where I see her being more comfortable.
That confidence translates to a tangible beauty. It comes out in every picture and with every smile.
This is why I say, she is beautiful as her true natural self. I didn't say as a woman ;) You said that.
Omg, did you watch the same ep I'm watching? She took chuck chuck back because Moira wanted him to starve to death.…
I like this series too but I too thought this episode has some problems. We see different issues however. I saw more issues with the editing and what I would call storyboarding, you know the timeline they set usually before they write the script?
I agree with the other poster: I don't have an issue with the dognapping. It was there for a reason: the writers have established that Chuckchuk is Ace family. Moira wanted to kidnap the dog to hurt Ace back (just like he hurt her). I am not sure if there was a plan, evil characters like Moira act on impulse. The sister had a change of heart. I think this is all part of the Disney allegory we get with this show. The evil characters behave like evil characters in a Disney movie.
The dognapping also served to show us that Ace relies a lot on Sky and that Sky supports Ace. It sort of help character development in that sense. Could they have come up with other ways? Yes! But a dog being kidnapped is so Disney-esque that I don't blame them for it. It was a great idea. Maybe it wasn't executed in the best way but it was not a bad idea IMO.
Unlike you, I enjoyed the improv part. I think some of it was probably scripted and some was not but it had me smiling.
I agree that Aki could be much better. He is good and he is getting better but he sometimes doesn't know what to do with his eyes or smile...
I had a LOT of issues with the birthday party scene. I though the little "emotional" monologue from Sky was weird. Like it was there because the writers wanted yet another Disney moment but it didn't felt natural. They could have had Sky talk about the cake and make a good analogy about the cake and their relationship and join the theme of food with the theme of love, but instead they went for a very cheesy monologue.
The editing in that scene was also bad. They put themeleves in a bad position by having people dancing around. It was obvious when they pasted over and cut something because you can see it in the background. At one point, Ace has his hands around Sky's neck, then the next second they are on his hips. There were also people hanging out outside who looked like they are part of the production crew. The place also did not look like a large venue but just a house. The camera failed to emphasize the cake that Sky had made.
I think what made me mad about that scene was that it was a wasted opportunity.
My issue with the storyboarding is that I think when they set the timeline they should have shot some scenes to make it clear how long it has passed and that the dog had been out for a while. I also think that the previous episode had some issues with that as well. In this episode, the advertisement scene should have come at the very end of the show or somewhere during the first part. I didn't like how confusing it was when they introduced it... I think they could use those scenes to tell backstories of the side characters instead of just pure advertisement. Just in general the pacing of the episode is weird, and I think they need more scenes to tie things up better. It feels like a lot of the scenes are disjointed.
Maybe the next episodes will be better.
For me this episode was not terrible but it wasn't the best.
No. I don't agree. It was bad but it was not BORING as hell. Also, the performance of the main actors is not robotic. So, let's not compare it to Oxygen :)
