Episode 9: 1/4, 2/4 and 3/4 I give it 9.5 out of 10. Editing is still one of the worst parts about this show but other than that it was great. The chemistry between Aki and Miko was beyond amazing. They look like a young couple in love. The script was good overall.
Episode 9 4/4 with Miss Becky and Chukchuk was funny but it wasn't as funny as I think they wanted it to be. It was the lowest point of the episode but it wasn't that bad that I would say I lost my hope for episode 10. I had give Episode 9 4/4 a 7 out of 10.
I am hoping the show gets better and better.... Right now episode 8 was great, and episode 9 was even better... OK, not better than Episode 8 4/4/ but it was probably my favorite episode after Episode 8 ;)
Ahhh, that was toooo cute. I wasn't ready for the day after to be filled with cuteness overload. Their chemistry…
Actually, the armpit thing IME is not that weird. Some people have that fetish and some people just like strong, masculine smells like that IDK LOL I will just leave it at that !
I was telling a young gay friend of mine, who has never had a boyfriend, that this is what boyfriends are like. If you watched the scenes on episode 9, that's pretty much the real barter and the real sort of flirting and playing that happens when two guys fall in love. All of it, including the armpit thing, the comments about eating each other, the playing with the candy and the holding hands in public but being scared to do it, it was all VERY VERY realistic.
After 4 episodes, the story has some chance to be interesting but the execution of scenes is bad and the acting…
So I watched episodes 1 - 3 and then watched the first few minutes of Episode 4. I don't know about you but the ending of episode 3 bothered me a lot...
And yes, I agree that the energy level is not there. It is monotonous. The guy who plays Gui is a good actor but I can't say the same thing about Solo. He is cute but that's about it.
The only likeable character and actor is Kao, who is adorable IMO. He is also a good singer.
I don't know if I am dropping it or not. I will finish episode 4 and decide but thus far, I am leaning towards just not watching it until it finishes airing.
Sometimes I feel frustrated when I read some of your reactions to what are not bad shows at all, Oxygen being…
The whole point of reviews is that people can leave good or bad reviews. That's the whole point of MDL!
I have only watched Ep 1-2, and I am getting ready here to watch Ep 3 but frankly if it is bad, I am dropping it. So far, Kao is the only character I like. This show is VERY "Yaoi", I feel like I am watching a female daydream about the boys she ships hard....
It is a part of the Filipino culture, one that should change but in the meantime we can enjoy the show and try…
I want to go on the record saying this happens in Thailand too...
I was shocked at first but I have become a bit numb to it and perhaps that is a bad thing. It occurs to me that I speak from a privilege position...
The first time I learned about this stuff was when a really good Filipino friend of mine and I went to a Filipino supermarket in Seattle called Seafood City (which BTW has a a Jollybee right by it). Anyway, he took me to an area of the supermarket that was FILLED with skin bleaching products. I was so shocked!!! My friend said it is crazy and laughed while I was both amused and horrified.
I can't judge because I didn't see the original content but youtube reactors have to follow very specific guidelines or they risk getting shut down.
This has also happened with Thai productions, including GMMTV. I follow a vlogger who got a strike by GMMTV over Theory of Love I think in his youtube channel. Since then, he has stopped doing any kind of review videos. The same thing happened to the very well known vlogger byulsarang.... In her case she got 2 strikes if I am not mistaken, and one of them was from GMMTV. It sucks!
I'm so excited for the season 2 news! This is definitely one of my favorite shows.edit: Xion also announced that…
I wonder if they will make a show about Sky's friend, the one who is semi-involved with Jelai.... OR they could make a story about the jock who hates gays falling in love for a guy. I actually think that the jock guy is really hot so I would love to see that!!!! He is deliciously delicious looking.
I just binge watched this and i loveeeee it. I kinda didnt give it a chance cos of how people were talking abt…
I made an analysis in a facebook user group about how this is a retake on a Disney fairy tale. I need to write it into a blog post. Glad you see the same thing too!
I kdrama, though, kissing scenes or intimate actions usually serve a purpose. What the writer was pointing was…
LOL This is probably why I am more into BL (Boy's Love) which has exploded in the last 2 years. Korea is the latest Asian country to join in the BL wave. We also have Philippines which is quickly becoming a powerhouse of the genera. Usually it involves a "straight" guy falling in love with another "straight" guy but lately it is gay guys falling in love with seemingly straight guys so the genera is widening it is appeal. Just this week, a Filipino BL called My Day The Series made waves on twitter for it is explicit depiction of two guys kissing each other :O The episode segment in question reached 1 Million views in 5 days which is a record for the Philippines.
So if you get bored of K-drama, there is always Thai, Filipino, Taiwanese and Korean BL. :)

I commented earlier on this article and told myself I would not come back but here I am...
I agree with you 100%.
I have a hard time with this article but I am having issues articulating all the reasons why I think this is wrong but you have hit the nail on the head. To me this is a sort of puritan view. i don't think this is any different than religions that tell their followers to dress up and cover every part of the body.
It is like a can of worms, there is so much to unpack here:... I feel like this topic is strongly connected to Western views on nudity, religious teachings about the evil of carnal pleasures and the linking of sexual desires to evil forces.
And then there is the detail of the fact that the article makes false equivalence between the objectification of men and women. That is another whole can of worms too...
Having watch a few Korean shows, I am more concerned about the strong heteronormative stories presented, the rigidity of gender roles, the way women are often portrayed as needing a male savior, and violence against woman. Shirtless man are the list of my concern.

What about you?
I did watch the beginning of episode 4 and I know Gui rescues Solo but the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth.... I didnt like it at all.

Like I said, I pass no judgment because I know how it is so embedded in the culture but it doesn't mean I am comfortable with it.

Anyway, just wanted to share that with you...
I think we just all like something that we are not used to... besides this is really more of a Disney fairy tale!

I also dont agree with it but I think as an outsider I have no right to pass judgment on it.
Ads for tanning salons are more than likely legally prohibited just like cigarettes but guess what? They are still popular.
I agree with you 100%.
