Gameboys is officially my all-time favorite BL. I'm looking forward to Gameboys 2, but I kind of feel like the…
I think Gameboys is my 3rd all-time overall favorite, but some scenes are my #1 or #2.
The kiss at the end of episode 13 was........................ divine. I cried and I normally don't cry when I watch a BL couple kiss but that was amazing!
Overall maybe it is a 7.8 for me? But episode 8 was a 10/10 for me! :) If they keep it up and it gets better, I think it could be deserving of 8 or 8.5!!!!!!
Gameboys is sitting at a very comfortable and well deserve 9.0 but I am hopping it goes up to 9.5!
The first three quarters of Episode 8 was a bit shaky in terms of acting. This episode started by repeating the…
I actually felt that the acting improved in this episode, at least for Inaki. While Inaki has gotten better, Miko has not but at least Miko is committed to his character. I agree with Yul, he was not that good but that was also a hard scene to pull out. Inaki sold it better than Yul and he did very well with the script given.
At the house, when Ace visits Sky, Miko's acting is pretty bad but I thought Inaki did well again. The kiss scene was all Inaki. He sold it well.
I am not fond of many aspects of this show tbh. However, I started it and have to finish it. I do agree with you.…
For me the kiss here was more passionate than emotional. The one in Gameboys made me cry. Gameboys is the only time I have cried watching a BL couple kiss. The tension leading up to that moment and the moment itself was magical. Gameboys is truly a masterpiece.
But this was a great kiss. I think this has to be one of the best kiss scenes I have seen in BL if not the best (I haven't watched the SaiZon Kiss yet).
This episode serve to convince me that Inaki has a lot of potential as an actor and that Miko is not that bad. You have to admire how both of them are so committed with their craft...
He probably didn't watch Gameboys. Only people that don't like Gameboys are the ones that haven't watched it or the ones that gave up after the first 2 or 3 episodes.
Yeah the series is so toxic in the beginning and the use of baby was over used
This comment is unintentionally hilarious. We now know that Gameboys has made its mark in the BL world when a troll likes this shows up in the mydramalist page.
I need to write a review but just came here to write a quick blurp instead. I feel like this show has touched me so much that I need an emotional break between watching it and reviewing it, otherwise I am just going to say how great it was and I will have a hard time talking about any issues it had (PS Almost NONE).
This show deserves a 10/10. Maybe 9.5/10 if we are being picky.
The finale itself is probably the best finale I have seen in a BL show bar none. I have now watched at least a dozen or so BLs and I have NEVER cried watching the two protagonist kiss but I did here. It was surreal as I was sitting there watching them kiss and then when Gave puts both his hands on Cai's face, I started crying without knowing why... This show is just beautiful and deserves much more than it has gotten. Both Kokoy and Elijah are very good at their craft and it shows.
The directing here is also so good that you forget how strange this format is, with multiple screens and characters talking to cell phones. You get immersed in the characters lives even thought the episodes are so short. I think the story was told in less than 6 hours or about half of what we are used to in a Thai show, yet it felt much more richer and the characters were so fleshed out that the ending felt bitter sweet.
I wish we had "International BL awards" because this show deserves the award for best BL of 2020. I have gone on the record now several times since episode 7, and I will say it again, this is one of the best BLs in the short history of BL dramas (e.g. since 2014). My hat goes off to The Idea First Company for all the work they did here.
I feel ambiguous about getting a season 2. This is such a great little gem that I am not sure they can pull off something better and I am afraid season 2 will disappoint, yet from a story perspective I do see the potential for continuation here. Cai and Gavreel have more story to be told.
So that is how I feel and I wanted to share it. Like I said, I need a bit of time and distance because this show has really affected me a lot. It really reminded me of the first Thai BL series I watched, Love Sick and how I felt afterwards. Pure and sweet and innocent young love.... It is the whole reason I watch BLs!
I'm thinking 'Why ruining' as well. I'm guessing you are not his fan? Which is OK. Not a problem. For me, Bright…
I am not a delulu fan of Bright but it is unfair to predict he will fail. Actors often do what the directors ask so you cant judge an actor by one role.
Is an Asian thing. Is a very personal part of the body. Is meant to be cute. Japanese do it to. Usually the man to the woman so here we get the seme doing it to the uke.

I can't wait for season 2!!!

My suggestions: don't feed the troll.

I think he did OK in 2Gether.
I guess everyone is a critic.
