Kinda premature for Hwang Min Hyun to get a lead role. It shows clearly in AoS that he's in the first steps still. He can become a great actor but it'll take its time - as with Suzy (just to take one example of steady growth with accumulated experience). I feel this is a waste of Kim So Hyun, she's fantastic. I'd like to see her paired with another top actor like Lee Junho.

Not a big fan of ml. He was not good in Alchemy of souls. Really wish it was some other actor. Also, he has only…

Jung Woo is a great actor but I got stressed as it seems there's going to be a lot of screen time for the villain (Goo Tae Man). Kwon Yool is so ultra effective as a villain (Bring It On Ghost, Dali and the Cocky Prince) that it doesn't seem possible for me to watch him anymore! I'll return to this later if it gets positive reviews.

I couldn't get past the first episode. Disgusted by the portrayal of women as catfighting, tearing each other from the hair, violently, and downing another woman into the toilet. No. This kind of portrayal of women must stop. I could see that YAIs acting was good, but no reason to continue with such rubbish. Wondering whether this is supposedly art bc it plays classical music... Do You Like Brahms is a great drama if classical music is your thing.

So now that it's finished airing how is it? Much romance? Happy ending?

A nice entertaining drama but nothing special. The interesting parts were the reality show and how scripted it was. And the portrayal of idol life also interesting. The lead couple were good, but I didn't root for them from the bottom of my heart. They were portrayed as overly nice people and the second lead couple as overly obnoxious and stupid. And there was the most unnecessary 3rd lead couple that was particularly annoying. But I watched this in 4 days and skipped all the parts with the 2nd and 3rd lead couples. I don't plan to watch anything by this writer again though. The OST was sheer torture! 8.0/10.

The ending was perfect. They really nailed it with all the qualities that were best about the drama, I ended up giving it 8.5. instead of 8.0 which I had until the finale. There were boring parts in the drama as many have mentioned. But it was its own kind of drama and I'm sure I'll remember this one for a long time.

I think these days rating doesn't mean anything. Almost every K-Drama I came across this year had a rating of…
There are 10-18 new k-dramas produced each month. Plenty of different genres.

Personally I think this deserve 9 or 9.1 rating by MDL standard overall
This is so much better than Move to Heaven which has 9.2. Maybe there's a Netflix factor at play there meaning more people from all over the world see Netflix series. Don't know. I agree that usually MDL ratings end up pretty accurate. Not always but usually.

Always wanted to find a Chocolate replacement. Can this be it? I loved that show with Yoon Gye Sang.
I've watched Chocolate twice, love it.

Maybe k-drama isn't your thing? Plenty out there to choose from.

Why is JCW doing shows where his character is kinda lame lately ?!He either needs a new agency or he needs to…
He's finally showing his full talent in Sound of Magic and IYWUM. Finally.

Yes indeed, looking forward to this! Liked S2 casting more than S1. Hope Kim Min Jae also returns as Nurse Park! Def one of the key characters in Doldam Hospital.

I don't understand how this is rated 8.4 when big mouth is 8.8... This is my top drama of 2022
People avoid sadness and it's okay. Different mindsets, different needs. Chocolate and Hymn of Death are low rated too.

Is this good or is this too emotional and dramatic I meant heavy drama.
It's very emotional and often sad but - the dramas that are the most touching will also be best remembered as time goes by.

Nowhere near the level of current kdramas. If choosing bc of Song Joong Ki: we don't get to understand the motives and background of the character until ep 19. If choosing bc of Yoo In Ah: very worthwhile! Shines in this role!
