so is there romance? and if so, which one of the male leads is the love interest?
it looks like this a workplace and ensemble drama like Stove League and Misaeng. Light hints at romance, not the main focus.

I wont pass my final judgement on this drama until it ends. I wont pass my final judgement on this drama until…
How do people feel about Misaeng? The workplace abuse by the bosses of the newbies was much worse. Just a side note. I appreciate that they gave 2 different perspectives on Kwon, I don't know if the webtoon artist profession is really this cruel but I guess with the constant deadlines it must be.

They couldn’t give Kim Se Jeong a worst wardrobe and her black shoes with white socks are horrible
It's very refreshing to have a normal looking female lead (not just a stick insect with designer clothing) but I hate the hair style and color lol

Jang Man Chul character is one of the reasons to watch. He's the soul and anchor in the workplace just like Oh Sang Shil in Misaeng. Too bad he's listed as a support character but even in terms of screen time he's one the main characters.

This drama is seriously underrated - I guess that is because it's not an easy one to watch: it is slow and artistic,…
An underrated gem that no one noticed. Just Between Lovers, from the same writer, had the same thing happening to it. I wholeheartedly agree with you. 10/10

Have watched this 3 times now. I come back to this when I want to be reminded what a masterpiece drama looks and feels like. I keep being moved and absorbed and amazed. I guess I'll never removing JBL from my watchlist. I know I'll start a 4th round of watching after a couple of months.

ML behavior keeps being pretty stalkerish-obsessive. Dropping.
On She Would Never Know Aug 15, 2022
Currently at ep 5 and going to drop. There's not much substance to this (if any). It feels like the workplace background (cosmetics industry) wasn't even superficially researched. How can an employee be a creator of products one day and door to door salesman the next. Maybe I'm wrong because I skipped a lot. Even Rowoon is not enough to save this from the mediocrity. It keeps bothering me how I can't see the reason why Hyun Seung would have fallen for Song Ah so much and so fast. And his stalker behavior is not over by ep 5. Hyun Seung behavior is more obsessive-like than protective. If the plot had been developed based on that and into a darker drama, it could have been amazing. Song Ah just comes across as an uptight and an uninteresting person without depth. They really should have given an explanation of what Hyun Seung saw in her. It just doesn't make sense. Recently watched Temperature of Love, and there I rooted for the couple (played by Seo Hyun Jin and Yang Se Jong) from the bottom of my heart. It's not an unfair comparison I think, because the genre is similar.

This drama is growing on me (currently at ep 4). At first I thought it's nothing special or revolutionary then I realized it doesn't have to be. It's kind of calming. The workplace is central (as in Misaeng). Nam Yoon Su's role is really interesting. Interested to see how the character grows. I like that there's no cheap humour. Sympathetic.

I wonder if they chose the name Michael Bane as an hommage to Michael Caine (starred in "Get Carter").

What's with the ratings 😌😌
It turns out to be more like a detective series with an emsemble crew (as in SRI&J). Solving murder cases. Personally I'm in agreement with the ratings dropping. ep 3 & 4 were not about psychologicy or healing as I and I guess many more were expecting. It's still good and hopefully gets better.

can you explain ending?
ending is left open (we don't know whether they survived). Just because they'll make Part 2 is this is well received. Open ending was a disappointment to me.

Watched bc of Joo Won and he was great as expected. Enough action for sure (this is an understament). The plot is a lil bit of a mad mess though. I so wished for clarity and paid extra attention - even going back many times not to miss the whos and whys. It was a strongish experience, just wish it had been even more gratifying in wrapping things up neatly. Director, it's cheating to end a 2 hour full movie like this. I expect a lot of Behind the Scenes and Making of materials to be released to make up for the ending!

Can you explain this? Are you talking about a specific film reference? The form of rope walking/dancing here is…
There should be Baeksang awards also for cinematography, OSTs, costume design, set design, editing. It is interesting to know this drama is historically accurate but that is just one element in a drama. Seems to be an obsession for some people but kind of rare in sageuks and usually not even expected (nobody usually gets stuck on whether dramas like King's Affection are accurate portrayals of history bc the term "drama" means something.) I'd prefer OSTs with more Korean influences but nobody (but me) feels it odd that a drama like Our Blues uses an Italian hit from the 50s, something totally out of context. But people attend universities to become filmographers and as you may guess, they watch a lot of classic films.

Very true. I feel the same. I don't know any similar drama but I'd recommend the KBS drama special "That Kind of Love", it's also raw and beautiful.

Totally agree. She is terrible.
