A gentle word to some of my fellow International fans. Please don't let your sadness about this news cloud your…
No you've not been following the news. The parliament has taken the stand that they continue to require South Korean celebrities to be exemplary human beings. They proudly announce that "this is our culture". The criticisms are more than valid. Do some Googling because you're just not getting the core of the issue.
RIP Ahjussi, we will never forget you. I really hope South Korean parliament who was recently (during summer) touting proudly that they will require an even higher level of exemplary behavior from celebrities will really reflect on themselves. The newspapers that publish articles in "quilty until proven innocent" style and just wait to destroy reputations should refleft on themselves. Korea JoongAngDaily which I follow is really bad in this respect. Celebrities should be allowed to be normal human beings, not lifted onto a pedestal just to be dropped to the ground and trampled on. It's too sad that we who enjoy SK dramas can't do an efficient boycott right now. If someone pens a letter to the SK parliament I'd gladly sign. This is just one sad example, I often think about actor Kim Jisoo, Choi Hyun Wook (who committed the crime of tossing trash), how Netflix cancelled all Yoo Ah In productions or cut him out. It should be finally acknowledged that this cruel inhumane cancel culture is not what anyone with normal empathy wants. Hallyu wave is not all good for South Korea we also learned about the dark side and about the inhuman predatory behavior towards our beloved actors.
I'm glad Netflix released 7 episodes to watch during Xmas hols. Enjoying the high-quality production and cinematography. Great acting. Prob a pain to watch for the Japanese, since there is historical realism mixed in with fantasy. Deserves a higher rating imo.
I wonder how the writer and director didn't at any point think it was weird to pair a 14 yr old with a 24 yr old.…
It's so very very weird. How are we supposed to root for them when it feels so wrong. Why didn't they just choose a 20 year old actor and say he's 16. We see 40 year olds acting high schoolers all the time (I don't mind that when it's just flashbacks).
Almost fell asleep at ep 14. This is just lame and boring. No attacks pls. Everyone has a right to voice their opinions. I love Rowoon's acting but this was just a misuse of all his charm and talent.
There are some things that need to enjoy slowly and this is one of them.
I've watched 485 k-dramas so I know. Borderline insulting comment, commenter blocked. Same director in Death's Game, he just doesn't know how to make things exciting. Dropped DG at ep 2.
I guess it's ponnu at it again dominating the comments section. I blocked him a long time ago, it's mandatory for seeing different comments from different people. I rarely go beyind the first page, that's why spamming the comment section is really bad behavior.
Great pairing! Kim Jae Young was fantastic in Reflection of You. Park Shin Hye's best roles are in Pinocchio and Sisyphus. She's a seriously good actor.
