I couldn’t watch last week’s episodes because I got busy so I was planning on watching all 4 today. Thank goodness I read the comments first. I’m just gonna wait and watch all 6 episodes next week instead of making myself feel annoyed 😂
So she basically funds her husband’s business, he quit her job for her unprompted, then proceed to ask her for more money because he wants to buy a big house she didn’t want? Let’s not even get into all the manipulation and lies. I hate this loser with every fiber of my being!!!
Absolutely do not like man #2. Stalked Rose from school to her job and her hostel, manipulated her into moving…
+1! Honestly his whole bit about stalking her to her work place, getting a job there, manipulating her to moving close to him, and even manipulating her mom reminded me of that one girl’s tiktok that went viral about finding a man and basically looked him up online to stalk all his information, joined his mom’s book club and manipulated the mom to arrange a date for her and the guy.
It’s probably realistic that she went ballistic as this is her first love and maybe she naively thought they…
I agree! All I could think of at the beginning of Ep. 7 was that she and her first love is toxic for each other and Ep. 8 also proved that. She’s definitely wearing a very rose-colored glasses on love and she is in her early 20s experiencing this big news from her first love. Not that this behavior is acceptable but all her life, boys would literally do everything for her so I can only imagine the big feelings she’s having in receiving this news from her first love who also couldn’t even be bothered to sit with her while she process her emotions.
#EP 10Mr. Pyo is such a fickle minded teacher. Initially he never really cared about his students. He was adamant…
I agree with this. Even after the midterm exam fiasco, he still didn’t really care about the students and still only cared about his own ego. He openly admitted changing the syllabus and exam content so that he can beat the hagwons. He started an after-school tutoring so his students would go to him instead of the hagwons. In the end, he wasn’t really all that different from the rest of the school teachers who are upset that the students were getting good results from the exam.
I agree with both of your points. Their dynamic is still firmly teacher/student, especially with the fact that…
I’ve gone back and forth on Seo Hyejin’s feelings and I still can’t pinpoint if her feelings are really what the they are. For the most part, its feels that she’s someone who enjoyed the flirting and the banter with Junho. Is it his pretty face? Is it because he’s familiar? Is it because he’s her career’s pride and joy? Whatever it is, it does feel like there is thrill there for her with him. But romantically speaking, there doesn’t seem much substance there for someone like her to be risking her career for. All they talk about are their history together and work. So all in all, how much of her feelings is just a combination of nostalgia + loneliness and how much of it is true love. How much of her feelings is just about realizing that she favored one student before and that student keeps on acknowledging the big impact she had on him?
Obviously this is probably more in depth analysis than the writers intended for this romance to come off as but the fact that they keep on going back to the teacher/student relationship from years ago is what’s making me think this way.
As for Junho, I didn’t mind his insistence in the beginning because it just comes off as flirty and cheeky but the last 3/4 episodes (and looks like in future episodes too), he has been more pushy and insistent on blurring boundaries in the workplace which makes it all the more risky for Hyejin.
I felt the same! I felt so stressed in ep. 7 and 8 because he kept pushing and insisting they talk about his feelings…
Actually, now that you mention it, he does things for her that he thinks are what she wants. He asks her to do things that he wants her to do and not necessarily what she wants to do. Hyejin for her part, feels like someone who would do almost anything for him, mostly because she feels he is very special as someone who she first found passion in and someone who bolstered her career.
I might be alone in this so pls be kind but I didn’t like the way the story handled the lead up to the main leads officially dating. For a couple of reasons so hear me out:
1. I don’t know if it’s just an old fashion thinking, I like to think I am very open-minded, but they always revert back to their student/teacher relationship. They have been years removed from that, they are now co-workers, they are both adults. But to push the romance forward, it seemed like the story is pulling so much romanticized emotions from when they were student/teacher. The part where Junho sent Hyejin a picture of her sticky notes from that part of their life that sent her spiraling kinda solidified this for me. I get that they both have some feelings for each other stemming from that time but do we need to be reminded every single time that they had this kind of dynamic before?
2. Putting myself in Hyejin’s shoes, Junho felt very pushy. Normally, I like a ML who is very resolute in their pursuit but in this instance, it feels like the FL has so much to lose. She’s the older woman in this dynamic who was once the teacher of the ML. Her good reputation can be destroyed by this relationship easily. She said so herself in episode 8. But it doesn’t seem like Junho care all that much about that part or he just doesn’t think it’s a big deal. He thinks it’s too old school of thinking (which is true). But reality is, they live in that kind of society. He’s a new teacher. He doesn’t have much to lose. She does. That scene when he tried to threaten her of exposing that they were together just so she wouldn’t insist on going to work? It felt so icky. I get that he said it because he cares and he wants her to get treated but saying that kind of thing is so below the belt. Again, he doesn’t really see it as a big deal but he knows Hyejin clearly thinks the optics would not look good, especially for her. She will be the one that people will villainize.
Idk! I’m goad they are together now, their chemistry together is insane and they bring out the fun in each other but just the lead-up is my issue.
Maybe it’s just me but I do think lee jun ho character comes across as very desperate and pushy (even after…
I felt the same! I felt so stressed in ep. 7 and 8 because he kept pushing and insisting they talk about his feelings and to have that relationship. She said no a few times and he just dismissed it as her being old fashioned. As the older woman in their dynamic, she would have so much to lose. Why can’t she have the time to process things first? But no, just because Junho already confessed, he has to have a resolution. This makes me feel frustrated.
The other thing is the part when he threated to blackmail her if she doesn’t get treated and follow his orders. It felt so controlling.
I'm so madddd I liked Guanyu with Banban too :(All bc of Fu Jie wth
It pissed me off when he started talking about how he didn’t know his picks would affect who gets eliminated 💀 like sirrrr??? Itbwas literally announced before they started picking their people. My scientist/pageant girl ship broken cus of him ðŸ˜
But now I’m also thinking, what happened to the Rosie who was asking that girl in earlier episodes why she still wanted her fiancé? Rosie, why do you still want him?
