Right. I see now some people are saying that the FL’s actions are causing ML to turn evil… the writers are…
Yeah...they really are. The problem is too much focus on TTJ while not enough POV on LSS, at least not enough about her struggles or fears or even reasoning for her actions towards XL. Even knowing more about her family and sect or even just her life in the world destroyed by the Devil God would make us understand why she reacts so strongly to anything TTJ that reminds us of him. I honestly would've sacrificed the 2nd / 3rd couples (altho 3rd couple is great) for better characterization for both.
Moreover TTJ really should've kept some more dark tendencies while being affected by Ming Ye's love for the world from the dream. Like more thirst for power or something. His brother is out there making himself seem like the real future Devil God!
I mean TTJ is a much more complex character. The show didn’t really spend much on YXW- even her journey was…
For a good romance and even just story in general both characters should've been developed imo. LSS being a more righteous and noble and even innocent character doesn't mean she can't be developed or complex, they're not mutually exclusive. (Also in the novel LSS is actually not as righteous in the drama, at least not as black and white)
If I'm being honest....while I enjoyed the romantic scenes, TTJ was getting a little too mushy for me 😅😂…
Completely agree. Unfortunately this is kind of normal for Cdramas...FLs tend to get dumbed down. Or less complex / morally grey. Even in the novel while LSS was pretty righteous and all, she wasn't as rigid as in the drama. Imo the humanizing was necessary for romance to actually develop, but I wish TTJ had kept some of his thirst for power or something to remind us he's still that Devil God in potential lol!
i feel the comment section here this whole time before these recent episodes has been illustrating my main issue…
If I'm being honest....while I enjoyed the romantic scenes, TTJ was getting a little too mushy for me 😅😂 I wanted his darker side to come back even a little. Not to the novel extent tho, that was waaaaay too much for me, but up to the point of the dream, I was liking his character!
I also agree that they didn't write LSS well enough while putting too much focus on humanizing TTJ. Oh well, hopefully it'll develop better soon. Either way I'm still enjoying this!
Hmm in the end after thinking it over and reading others' opinions, while still annoyed at the LSS drugging TTJ, I think I'm just going to treat it as more of a fault on the writers.
They've made TTJ too nice (influenced by Ming Ye in the dream) that it just doesn't seem possible the Tower Scene will be as impactful. Imo they've also neglected to flesh out LSS...we needed more about her life in the past, more reminiscing about what's at stake or at least her fear...she doesn't know whether she can return to the future. She's not YXW after all. I also feel like.... she's allowed to make mistakes and/or to make emotional decisions (like saving XL) but still wish for a more logical thought process.
Also I really think the writers should've made it clearer about her feelings for XL, either she cares abour him especially because he's the past life of her senior brother or because of the Bo're dream or whatever. And most of all....give us her reasoning for immediately resorting to drugging rather than simply /talking/ to TTJ!
Either way, I still like LSS, I just wish they didn't make her a) so rigid towards TTJ being 'evil' since his character has been pretty low profile since the dream and b) make TTJ a little more evil because.... Even his brother and YBC are more evil lmao! 😅😂 Hopefully in the next episode we'll get some insight into her thought processes for saving XL and solve some of this mess xD
If I were LSS, I would try to save XL too. The country is just formed and will need a good king for people to…
Ooh that's a good reason tbh. Hopefully they'll explain her reasoning in the next episode! (Still think she could've gone about it in a much better way but oh well.)
I also think we're forgetting that XL is the past life of her senior brother, who died protecting her from the…
Yep I still like the drama and LSS! I'm just annoyed with the way things have developed b/c it's like taking a step backwards after they reconciled. Hopefully things develop more smoothly in the next episodes.
I also think we're forgetting that XL is the past life of her senior brother, who died protecting her from the…
I read a little bit ahead with Machine Translation, but it wasn't very clear. But basically he goes crazy, refuses to bury her corpse, tortures YBC, and then looks for her soul or whatever. They end up meeting again 500 yrs in the future when she's back in her real body. He actually goes to an immortal sect lol or was picked up by an immortal, when he he sees LSS in her real body he doesn't recognize her and wants to use her to put YXW's soul in it xD
LSS is no better than YXW? I mean YXW was really cruel and arrogant to everyone...I think LSS is being really…
Imo it isn't necessarily wrong for her to try to save XL if she wants to, but what's wrong is how she's going about it. That is what is super stupid and illogical and risking her mission, as if she doesn't know how sensitive TTJ is to betrayal. Oh well, hopefully they can remedy some of this mess in the next episode.
in the novel they sleep (mutual intercourse) every 3 month of 15.. u will be surprise.. hahaaha :Dactually she…
Yep. I think if they'd developed it right, with her caring about XL because he's her past senior brother, then no one would hate it as much (still stupid and annoying of her to go behind TTJ's back but that's another thing.)
I just thought of another reason they could've used to provide an actual reason for why she cares about XL - he was her brother in Bo're Life and since that dream emotionally impacted them, I would understand if she still cared about him as a sibling would. That would be a more compelling reason tbh. But nope....they haven't given any reason and that's honestly a fault on the drama writers.
