I’m glad someone else said it. From the beginning, I didn’t understand An’s deadly animosity toward his…
Definitely agree with all of this, but you should put this as a spoiler~

Well...how is it that bad writing?? FX obviously loves her sister and her father just died as well as their mother…
Yes, she's a restrained person, but it's not that extreme tbh. And in that situation added with all the grief she's already feeling anyone would break.

But I guess we just see it differently, so let's leave it at that~

So agree with what you said. Plus lack of kiss in this movie. Even on wedding nite (ending) still no kiss? I really…
You should put this as a spoiler pls!

There are so many things wrong with this drama I don’t know where to begin. However, I still enjoyed it! Perhaps…
Well...how is it that bad writing?? FX obviously loves her sister and her father just died as well as their mother being extremely ill, of course she'd be distraught her sister has been decreed to die. Like...she's human, she's not going to be calm and rational all the time, much less in such a situation.

There's a lot of bad writing but that's not one of those times.

Welp, I finished it. Honestly....I have mixed feelings. This drama is very flawed, but I definitely enjoyed watching…
I have to admit tho.....I laughed throughout the whole lightning scene....it was too funny and over the top xD

Welp, I finished it. Honestly....I have mixed feelings. This drama is very flawed, but I definitely enjoyed watching it. It was entertaining despite the numerous plot holes, faulty logic, annoying misunderstandings, and pathetic villains. I smiled and laughed with the characters, and I enjoyed the journey to their endings, even if it was rather rushed.

All in all, this is an entertaining and light drama despite the constant scheming and investigating that can go around in circles. I'd say give it five or so episodes to see if you like it!

#Ep36 I KNEW IT WAS COMING, BUT STILL SO FRUSTRATING!!!Agggggh, why did the writers think making Fu Rong doubt…
#Ep37 KJDKFKDJFKJKDF Xu Jin's subordinates and WBQ are discussing the fire at Ruyi Pavilion saying how it was all planned....and WBQ says he would've also suspected Xu Jin if he wasn't so faithful to him...

SO....Fu Rong isn't as faithful then fkjdfkjdfk. Like yeah...it's her father, but as SP-427 commented, they've been married for a long time...and Xu Jin has repeatedly shown her how much he loves and cares for her and her well-being as well as her family's. She should know what kind of person he is at this point. I'd respect her more if she was somewhat conflicted but still kept investigating because she's still human at the end of the day, but to directly believe Xu Jin would kill her father?! Ugh.

#Ep36 I KNEW IT WAS COMING, BUT STILL SO FRUSTRATING!!!

Agggggh, why did the writers think making Fu Rong doubt Xu Jin AGAIN on some flimsy evidence was a good idea??? It just makes their so-called "love", at least on Fu Rong's side, seem fake and full of holes. Ugh. Like Xu Jin again and again has demonstrated how much he loves and cares for her, but with someone's words or looking at someone's back (she isn't even 100% sure it's Gu Yuan, wtf!!!), she doubts him. And actually thinks he's the type of person to kill her father!!!

Like....I get it, she's in grief and won't be rational....but this already happened with her master's death --- why would the writers repeat that?? It's lazy and also extremely frustrating and makes Fu Rong seems like a dumb and irrational and ungrateful person.

And while I get it was her master's work, why does Fu Rong think keeping Ruyi Pavilion is a good idea??? While her master isn't a bad person, she still traded info with Prince Cheng knowing it would harm innocent people, like..... and tbh, an information broker organization isn't some noble thing either like Fu Rong seems to think it is. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing but it IS a dangerous weapon in the wrong hands (aka Xu Ping's) and no offense, who does Fu Rong think she is to be able to protect Ruyi Pavilion? She's not that smart (no matter how much the drama wants me to believe it lmao) nor powerful nor experienced...so with what skills does she think she can handle leading an info broker organization???

At least the 2nd couple soothes my heart hahahaha. Poor Xu Jin tho, Fu Rong REALLY doesn't deserve him.

#Ep33 WOAH, I was not expecting Xu Jin to say he regretted marrying Fu Rong...that hurt hahaha. BUT at the same…
#Ep34 JDJFKJKDJSKFJ When WBQ was about to sneak into the Fu Residence and Xu Jin also appears kdfjkjfkj, "they're just passing by" hahaha that scene was great xD

#Ep34 dfjdkfjdf NEVERMIND, Xu Jin was just trying to protect her...this guy really is a perfect ML....I think I would've actually liked him more if he was frustrated and took it out on her. Not that it'd be justified of course, but sometimes he's a little TOO devoted and kind to her when Fu Rong can be really spoiled at times...that's it's just unrealistic tbh.

But ugh...did he not learn from Fu Rong that pushing your loved one away to "protect" them never works??? -.-

#Ep33 WOAH, I was not expecting Xu Jin to say he regretted marrying Fu Rong...that hurt hahaha. BUT at the same time, GOOD FOR YOU XU JIN! He's been SO devoted to her all this time and she keeps acting so selfish, he deserves to be a little hurtful...fkjkdjf, this is like the first time I'm so biased towards the ML, usually it's the opposite for me xD

And also I know people really dislike Cui Wan...but she's grown on me for some reason? She's still extremely annoying, but she's not a bad person imo and she truly does love Xu Jin, even if her way of going about it is wrong.

How is Fu Rong’s character development in the drama?
Not very good imo...there's not much I can say without spoiling tho, but let's just say, after moments where the FL undergoes difficulties, it doesn't seem that she truly learns lessons from them and makes the same mistakes.

Still tho, she's not the most annoying FL I've come across, even if I admit I really don't care much about her - I just want the ML to be happy xD

I've seen a lot complaints about the villains being lackluster. I agree the villains here are lame, and I normally…
This is very true! Even with all the plot holes and stuff, I'm still enjoying this drama - altho I haven't gotten to episode 36 where I've seen ppl get mad at Fu Rong xD

The only thing I wish is that Prince An, the main villain, would have gotten a better reason for his revenge. Like he could've still been incompetent and stuff, but a better reason would have made him so much more likeable imo.

So this was a badly written but enjoyable watch. A lot of the characters actions and motivations made no sense…
I think you should put this as a spoiler!

Watching the rest of the episodes on 2X because a) don't have much time and b) it seems things go downhill quality-wise…
The power of being an FL....you have TWO high-status guys not only fighting over you, but also risking their lives for you even if they're badly injured xD

It just goes to show that people's tastes are different. I skim all of their scenes.
This is very true hahaha. For me, I don't skip the main couple's scenes but they only make go "aw, cute" and that's pretty much it, whereas I look forward to the 2nd couple so much more.
