(episode 22)okay but am i the only one who thought that the "test" Xu Jin's mother made for Fu Rong was kinda...…
I agree it was rather cruel...especially when Mr Ge (do we know his full name? I can't remember) told her the method to cure him...like? Why would you tell her about a dangerous method like that? Idk, I feel like there could've been like a hundred different methods that didn't involve taking anyone's life xD
At the same time, I can kind of understand how worried his mother must be since Fu Rong tried killing him and her son is still as in love as ever lol. At least Consort Shu wasn't...idk, unnecessarily controlling or mean just for the sake of putting Fu Rong in her place like other mother-in-laws.
In a word: disappointing. The rating is between two and tree stars depending on your acceptance/not minding too…
Ugh that's horrible... I know I'm repeating myself but I really am so glad they didn't follow the novel. It would've been extremely disappointing tbh xD

Yeah...that might be 'nice', but it doesn't justify how he sexually assaults her (not mentioning she's only 14, which makes it even worse). So I'm SO glad they greatly deviated from the novel.
Same lmao!! I honestly have to say that while I don't hate Fu Rong, I don't particularly care much about her either.…
I don't really find her intelligent...maybe crafty and resourceful at times like you said, but otherwise...idk I wish she at least had /something/ to back up her reckless behavior - like at least basic martial arts or weapon throwing skills or something to protect herself lmao kjkjfkdjf.
Same lmao!! I honestly have to say that while I don't hate Fu Rong, I don't particularly care much about her either.…
Yeah...that's why I can't fully like the main couple tbh. She's just too childish and I keep asking myself what does Xu Jin see in her kjfkjdkf. Like...imo their relationship isn't special enough where I would say they're meant to be or that there's no one else Fu Rong or Xu Jin could end up with. The only reason I even like the main couple is because Xu Jin really is a great ML xD
#Ep23 Qi Zhu has barely had any presence other than her scenes with Prince Huai, but omg when she repeatedly rejects Prince Cheng hahaha. That loser deserves it!
#Ep23 ...Does anyone know how I can transmigrate into this drama to kill a certain scumbag prince? Ugh. I really…
The way he can hug another woman and say he'll protect her when he's supposedly in love with Fu Rong (it's ancient times, so being THAT physical with someone who isn't his family or wife isn't the norm) ....just for his (stupid bullshit) goals....and manipulate Gu Yuan's feelings like that...what a horrible person.
I guess he's a 'good' villain in that regard, but since his reasons for revenge are so flimsy...it just makes him seem extremely pathetic.
Same lmao!! I honestly have to say that while I don't hate Fu Rong, I don't particularly care much about her either.…
I mean, Prince An IS her childhood friend, so I can understand why it'd be hard for her to even suspect him. And...Fu Rong could interpret her master wanting her to stay away from Prince An because he's royalty and it's a danger to be close to one of them. She's also never really had reason to suspect him tbh, from what I remember. Her relationship w/ Prince An doesn't really bother me tbh.
My real frustration with her is that...she never really stops to thinks things through nor does she realize that now that she's part of the imperial family, her every action matters. If Xu Jin wasn't as amazing as he is and constantly cleaned up stuff for her, she could get herself, her family by extension, and him in trouble for every time she sneaks out or does something reckless.
It's her wilfulness and her recklessness that I just really dislike and can't keep justifying.
So I stopped at episode 20 'cause I got bored of this drama, but now I'm back and I'm enjoying it again~ I'm on ep 22 and omg Consort Shu is the best mother / mother-in-law ever! Really love her character.
I have never seen a drama with so many annoying characters before! Cui Wan is so annoying and ugly! She is not…
Same lmao!! I honestly have to say that while I don't hate Fu Rong, I don't particularly care much about her either. I just like the main couple because Xu Jin is amazing xD
And Wu Baiqi and Fu Xuan omg...they have my whole heart!
OMG IM SO SAD SO FU RONG ALREADY KNOWS WHAT XU JIN HAS TO DO TO GET THE IMPERIAL GUARDS BACK? SO SHE HAS THIS…
Thank you for writing this comment hahaha, it's what made me want to watch it again. Well, actually, it was the part about Cui Wan not being evil and becoming sort of friends with Fu Rong that convinced me xD I really hope that's the case because it would be such a good change from the usual clichés!

I really hope she doesn't become evil ;-;
