IU has said that Huiju started falling for Wan in ep3. Even if she's not completely into romance she fell for him gradually and by ep9 it seems that she will start acknowledging her feelings for him. She spent the whole ep7 thinking there is something wrong with her because she never felt like this with someone before.

I mean.. he's been her friend since highschool and she calls him oppa too. It's normal if Wan doesn't for now because they just started getting closer.

I think it made sense in princess hours with the logic that a literal kid shouldn't really be declared king in a 21th Century setting. This drama follows a more traditionalist root which even the nobility is shown to have more power and rights than commoners. And it's one the main themes in the drama. Even the prime minister thinks there should an age limit for someone to be the king.

I'm not saying what he's doing is ok. He already lost his chance. I'm just adding on what he might be thinking since i feel like he has another side of him that we haven't seen yet. I think he's gonna create trouble in the future.

I agree on the most part, but about their relationship i doubt he believes it's real. In the trailer he asks her why exactly she wants to marry the prince and if social status is the only thing important to her. That's when he says then marry me like in the preview of ep5.

Actually princess hours(which was also adapted from a popular manhwa) set the standard back in 2006. It's a classic. And since then every modern monarchy inspired drama is actually compared to princess hours. Loved TKEM but we didn't spent much time in the alternative kingdom. The worldbuilding in that aspect is actually better in this drama.

I was reading the recommendations of goodbye my princess and one of them mentioned how GMP basically copied this drama(since this was released first). But then i remembered that this drama was accused of plagiarism back in 2018 for many novels including gmp's novel. Since one of yuzheng's plagiarism tactics is finding out which popular novel is gonna get adapted and filming a drama similar to it and releasing it before the actual adaptation(which is SO low), i'm not surprised. I'm just a little sad seeing his tactics working on people.

Don't worry i get it. I'm also used to the beauty of of the dramas now😆 It's just that i can't help and be pissed when i see how production teams don't seem to respect their own work when it comes to storytelling and depth nowadays. Especially since most of them have potential to be so much better. I watched this drama around the time it aired so it doesn't seem odd to me but i understand if it's a little hard to watch. Still i think it's a good drama so recommend to at least watch the first 10-15 eps before deciding.

This is an interesting take because i always thought a lot of the new dramas nowadays have worst production quality especially in the storytelling department in comparison to this and some older dramas. I think this drama has some questionable shots and editing choices at times and the color grading can be tiring(youku's fault) but it's overall a good drama and you can tell all the crew put a lot of effort in the making.

The game world is not that huge tho. But it probably takes a lot of space from the park. Games like this exist in china but without the VR aspect(which adds to the visuals) and they're usually not a whole mini city. They already established in the first ep that they are wandering around physically. The fl couldn't see much until she wore the glasses. What happened in the new ep could be a writing or directing issue tho.

I think it can be considered closer to princess hours and king 2 hearts since it's produced by mbc and it's not a fantasy. But yeah the concept of modern monarchy is the same

The writer is rookie but she won MBC's script contest in 2022 with this script so i'm excited to see what they have to offer (especially with how much MBC has invested in this drama)
