Yes but Xiao Qiao and Da Qiao are inspired by the Qiao sisters😅. And if i remember correctly Song Zuer herself said that in an interview in the past. The author generally took a lot of inspirations from history and the novel Romance of the three kingdoms. People also believe that Wei Shao's character is inspired by Sun Ce and Cao Cao. As for the name of the FL, Her name could be Qiao Man, but still, it's not mentioned in the novel. You can only assume that's her given name because of her nickname Man Man. Honestly i only found out that her name is Qiao Man when i saw it in this page. I was like oh it makes sense but it's still weird that i could never get this info from the novel.

I know about Da Qiao's name but since this commenter was asking for fl and ml i didn't mention it. But the names Qiao Man and Qiao Fan were still not mentioned in the novel. You could only assume these are their real names(following their nicknames). Even tho in those times people would've separate names from their nicknames, but that's not the case in the drama. Even chinese readers don't think they had actual names, which was probably intentional from the author. I also know about Manman's name origin🙈

For the characters of the fl and her cousin the author got inspiration from the actual Qiao sisters in history(and probably from the novel Romance of the three kingdoms). They're known as Xiao Qiao(younger Qiao) and Da Qiao(older Qiao), but their real names are unknown. In the novel, only the author refers to the fl as Xiao Qiao. Other characters who are close to her call her with her nickname Manman. So i was always confused about what her actual name is😅 Nowhere in the novel she is referred as Qiao Man, so that's probably the name given to her by the writer.

These 'demons' are not the the same demons in certain religions. They're mythical creatures. I don't know why they're translated as demons but i thought everyone knew they weren't the same demons in christianity for example... And yes they can be good
I didn't watch them, but if i remember correctly the first was the graduation project of the beijing academy students. I saw that they're pretty old. I tried to watch a few scenes with her in them but she gives a totally different feeling from here. Again maybe you just don't like her acting style. I loved her in The bond, To fly with you and novoland(even tho i couldn't finish it). I don't know, if you hate her acting that much maybe it's better to drop it.
