Maybe you just don't like her acting style, that's okay. But her portrayal in her previous dramas were clearly different. And i'm not even her fan btw. I don't really stan actors/actresses
Not just vulnerability but her character has a low self esteem too. The way she acts reminds me a lot of Susu's character in Ten miles of peach blossom(a character with memory loss). They share the same director so maybe the director wanted her to act this way. But i don't see anything wrong either way. It's also the first time Zuer plays a character like this. She doesn't seem out of place to me.
Guys, don't trust any rumors before the drama obtains a distribution license. Tencent is not trustworthy either. I remember how after Song Zuer's statement in August, they suddenly changed TPOB's date to 2/9(ofc it didn't air). They're probably doing something similar now to promote the drama or see people's reactions. But don't worry as long as there's no problem with Song Zuer there's no reason for them to not release it. Maybe tencent prefers releasing it normally instead of airdrop. We'll find out the upcoming days i guess..
I think the novel was more angsty rather than sad. It has a happy ending. But i read some spoilers from the leaked…
Actually i read it took 2-3 years for the writer to rewrite the story into a script so i don't want to judge quickly. Changes are not always bad. They added more Xiao Qiao-Wei Shao sweet moments for example, but didn't completely changed their characters. Btw i saw that the first episode will start with XQ and her grandfather talking in the wilderness.. That's why i'm confused. Maybe he's the one bedridden in the teaser and he will die soon. Also, i forgot to mention but i think they cut the past life/time travel trope completely. Unless they will show it as a dream but i don't think that's the case

I didn't get too much into the leaked script because i didn't want to get spoiled for the drama. But few changes i notice is they changed Wei Yan's family background. Apparently he will be related to the family of the man who abducted Xiao Qiao in the earlier chapters, and not Xiongnu(which confuses me a bit because he still has the name Hu Tu Kun in the list above). A lot of scenes were obviously toned down or cut. But Wei Shao's character is still similar to the novel(he strangles people a lot more tho, he did it only once in the novel😅) Liu Yan(XQ's ex fiancee) seems to have different motives in the drama(i think that was shown in the trailer too) The change i hate the most is that Da Qiao is gonna die in the end(i read that in the character description someone made about the script). I just don't want it to be true because i loved her character and her bond with XQ😠Also her grandfather seems to be alive in the drama, which is weird to me because he's the reason Wei Shao hates the Qiao family in the novel.
According to those who knows how to spoil how many tissue paper should we have in our room while watching this

I'm so nervous right now i try to calm down because I'm afraid it will failed again. Be patient, waiting for tomorrow…
Don't worry, the upcoming drama section works with the heat index in real time. It's not iqiyi that changes them(unless they have an official date). This drama is most likely gonna air tomorrow
I am happy that there is some potential progress on the airing of TDHR, but kind of sad that Bamboo Pavilion is…
I didn't really mention anything about it since it was(and still is) only a rumor. But i remember them also saying that TPOB would probably get a license in April/May since this is the period a lot of dramas usually obtain their license(in comparison to the months before). Now i'm still waiting and hope for the best.

There were rumors regarding this for a while, saying that TPOB already passed the review but they'll announce it later. That's why i was wondering if companies can keep informations like these and release them later but i'm still not sure. But honestly it would explain why it takes them so long
I hope they release Prisoner Of Beauty right after this one without waiting anymore.
If any of her dramas air succesfully then the others will definitely follow. For TPOB i don't believe the rumors that it will air this month tho. Among her dramas it's the only one with no movement and doesn't have a license yet but i think it will obtain one soon.
