Its the best kind of slow burn 💜 - I like that even though the male lead likes the FL first he isn't desperate or clingy about it. This is one of the best relationship set ups i've seen in a Cdrama and their chemistry is unreal. You should definitely check it out.

I also like stories when the FL falls in love first haha - but CSS is very special

Agreed, I get that maybe they could have handled it more discretely (but he had CSS's father hostage!). Lou Ben did that to himself.... theres no reason she should feel aggrieved. He knew perfectly well what he was doing.

I saw on the comments below that there is a different cost for VIP viewers vs non VIP viewers. It might be cheaper to get VIP and then the Express vs the cost for the Express for non VIP members. That way you have access to VIP content for a month + as well

Well these two episodes were a bit more on the sadder side.... still processing emotions.

But I think my main takeaway is, why are so many women eager to throw their lives away because a selfish man acted without thinking of the consequences??? Like cmon I was really disappointed in Yan Ji (but I get she might have had a breakdown and had no support so I do get that). I appreciated CSS's rationality when she was trying to talk to Wang Jin - yes Peng Kun might have been a good husband but he is still a traitor...

And I can see having witnessed what played out with Lou Ben, and everything CSS discovered recently about the Huo family her brain is spinning. Even if you think you know someone, you might not know them at all. I think its pretty clear LBY has some other agenda's going on (similar to other ambitious men in this show and there is a lot he hasn't shared with her) and she's picking up that he might completely blindside her.

The scene with the Empress at the end (chefs kiss). And Qiqi is really one of my favourite people on this show, so I was very happy for her.

She's come a loooong way hahaha. I was thinking the same thing while watching the scene, the past CSS would have zoned out

Agreed, especially after I watched the episode for the second time I found that jarring. Like how did he end up with Ben, and it would have been nice for us to see him at least look a bit for CSS.

Totally random thought while watching the episodes today, if LBY and CSS gets their happily ever after and have kids, their kids are going to be terrifyingly smart and competent.

That is one lethal genetic combination in terms of looks, intelligence and athletic ability.

I honestly wanted to do the same while she was saying all that. She's so adorable.
