I like YS and always did. I feel like if LBY wasn't part of this story or I hadn't seen what him and CSS is like together I would have shipped her with YS.

But now that I've seen what she is like with LBY, her interactions with YS are cute but they just don't have the same spark. I love their verbal banter and he's a good person sigh...... I don't know what's going to happen but I don't want to see him get hurt :( bah

I hope we can get them in some variety shows together!! I totally feel you, I have to try hard to remind myself not to ship them especially when I watch their BTS.

I know logically they are both very ambitious and young. They are also very rational, so they aren't likely to pursue any relationships until they are much older. So I hope for now they can be very good friends and who knows in the future (fingers crossed). I hope they do more collaborations together tho. Love seeing them together and I love their chemistry. Plus aesthetically they are stunning together.

Had to wake up at 4 AM and had a really long day to top it all off, so I am late in watching the episodes plus my thoughts are scatted (so pardon me if this doesn't make sense).

Loved the LBY and CSS interactions. They are so sweet they are giving me a tooth ache. I loved the kiss CSS planted on LBY!!! The interactions about CSS's sewing skills and many other parts of the episodes made me LOL.

I always knew the Emperor loves Consort Yue, but getting a deeper look at their interactions made my heart hurt these two episodes. I feel really bad for the Empress. This may be an unpopular opinion but I wish the Emperor and the Consort would tone down the PDA and reminiscing of the past in front of the Empress. It just seems very insensitive. And watching the Empress be left out of the Emperors chamber when he was having a temper tantrum and during the rain storm was terrible. Still have mixed feelings about the Crown Prince but it was so sweet when him and the Empress stood beside CSS supporting her while she was trying to get an audience with the Emperor. The Empress is really coming to care for her so much.

Loved Zhao Lusi's acting. Was a bit confused about how the story suddenly resulted in the Cheng family getting arrested, I will have to go back and rewatch. But I liked CSS fighting for her family and her father.

Agreed its like that quote, "Holding onto anger is like grasping onto hot coal with the intent of throwing it as someone else, you are the one that gets burned".

I think in this situation even if he gets his revenge, he's going to lose out on something much larger and greater. Namely his future and happiness. That is a tough choice, and I definitely feel for him.

I don't want to belabour a point, but I respectfully disagree that the Crown Princess is not as analytical as CSS. If anything CSS was taken advantage of by the Crown Princess to fix her mistakes. She leveraged the fondness CSS has for the Empress and the CP in involving her in the tiger seal incident knowing she would bail them all out. She invited CSS to the palace on her day off to prevent LBY from exposing her inadequacies to the Emperor. If anything she's good at coming across as innocent.

I'm confused about where Lingjun having extra marital feelings towards the CP is coming from? Sharing one look with him at a banquet doesn't mean she still has romantic feelings for him. Most of us would pause looking at someone who causes memories to flash up. And even if she did have feelings... you yourself said she hadn't acted on it, so why does it matter? This show has tons of people who are in love with individuals who aren't their spouses.

From what we've heard so far, the Crown Princess had been fabricating things to make Lingjun's husband believe her and the CP has something going on. I can give her the benefit of doubt that she didn't know about the abuse (which she saw herself in the carriage scene) but she was still acting maliciously and ruining someone else's life just because her husband used to be in love with her??? That is abusing the power she has as a Crown Princess.

And as other users have pointed out she married the CP knowing he was in love with another.

Very good assessment, I think for me what is unclear is- if he's still so on edge about revenge which could essentially take him down on a huge rabbit hole of danger and exile ... why would he ask CSS to marry him? It just seems short sighted to ask her to marry him if she wasn't part of his long term plan. But I also don't know whats going to happen and I think the puzzle and the reason for his actions will be explained to us and I think it probably will make sense.

But at the moment I feel such anxiety because I see them being so happy and I know the angst thats about to come. When CSS said "when you put the choices side by side, one will definitely be more important than the other" my heart broke because I was reading that as his revenge eventually being more important than her.

Anyway I am looking forward to seeing how this all plays out. I enjoy that this drama keeps me guessing and makes me feel so much.

yes!!!!!! I really hope we get a decent amount of screen time with them actually being married after all the angst ends.

I think what we are saying is that the Crown Princess has been using her eunich's to send gifts to Lingjun for a while, knowing that it was going to get her in trouble. The Crown Prince and CSS was able to put two and two together immediately that if Lingjun is being abused, then there is a high likelihood her kids are being abused as well. Crown Princess has a very high chance of knowing about the abuse because she keeps track of Lingjun. If Lingjun wanted to keep a tie between her and the Prince she could have easily gone to him and complained long ago... I think she was keeping quiet to protect the peace at her home and to keep the Crown Prince out of drama.

I also think even if the Crown Princess hadn't known about the kids, when it was all revealed she showed no surprise or remorse about the abuse. I get her pain... but if she had focused her attention on the Crown Prince instead of her insecurities their marriage may have stood a better chance. Plus regarding the miscarriage there is no direct correlation to prove that and we have no idea what actually happened. A lot of the grievances the Crown Princess brought up seemed self inflicted by lack of self esteem and jealousy. Again not excusing the crown prince AT ALL. He knew of her pain and didn't do much to lessen it and him taking Lingjun's side always was probably devastating to the Crown Princess.

I totally get where you are coming from but I think what she did was going too far, if her actions were going to result in someone else and their children getting abused - that is going too far, especially if she keeps doing it knowingly.

I do blame the crown prince though.... he's had many chances to make his wife not feel insecure about things and he doesn't do a good enough job. I think the other lady seemed like she was trying to draw boundaries but it was the Crown Prince muddling it up for both women....

I was wondering if he's worried about her safety if she gets too involved? I don't know how this will play out but I am guessing whatever happens he wants to take on as much of the consequences for his actions himself?

I forgot to mention this in my previous comment, but what the Crown Princess did shocked me. I get how she's feeling for sure, but to go so far as to orchestrate schemes to do things that make another woman suffer is next level....

On a side note, the BTS's of this drama really keeps me going haha. I love seeing how happy everyone was behind the scenes in working together <3

She has improved a lot though, I think since yesterday's episodes she has opened up and now he's going to be the problem... :s

Ahhhhh that makes a lot of sense. I was still processing all of that and when you said it like that I can see how the dominos may be falling. This show is so well done. The plot is so interesting and I feel like it always catches me by surprise.
