I know!!!! Why can't he share with her what he's thinking and feeling. Gah.... and after asking her to be more open with her communications lol. Ah LBY!!! Maybe it will all make sense after the next weeks episodes play out.

Today's episodes were so bittersweet T.T...... ahh my heart already can't take it.

I loved all the CSS and LBY interactions. Her banter with YS was also great, and it was heart breaking to see him admit his feelings to his mother. The conversation where LBY asked CSS what would you do if taking revenge ends up hurting someone you love and she replied "when the choices are laid side by side, one will end up winning(can't remember exact words)" that gave me chills of whats to come and already broke my heart.

The scene with Consort Yue at the end also had a lot of foreshadowing for me. It's like she knows he isn't satisfied with how the Emperor doled out revenge, she tried to pacify him but couldn't and its like she can see how everything is going to play out and she knows the person he's going to end up hurting the most is himself...... sigh.....

I don't know what will happen in the future episodes (I've stopped watching teasers) and haven't read the books - but I can already feel the angst. I will be ready with tissues next week.

This is what I was thinking as well. Wu Lei is still pretty shy and new to romantic scenes and I think their natural chemistry is so off the charts I don't even know if we can handle watching that just yet. Although if they add steamier kisses later on in the show I will be very happy haha.

I hope they collaborate again in a few years (fingers crossed)!

Now that the heaviness of seeing the palace politics for the first time and their first real fight (after SS consciously chose to marry LBY) has passed, I am excited to see how they make up :D lol.

I think that fight was necessary, all couples fight. Communication and when to compromise is the key thing new couples have to figure out, and it takes time.

So excited for the next episodes <3

I think during the memorial ceremony he was upset. His expression was very stoic and he didn't get involved in the conversation which is very unlike him. But his personality isn't the type to stay upset over trivial things.

When he brought it up later with her to chat, I think he was still being very lighthearted with her so as not to come across as lecturing her. And I think he was smiling in an indulgent way, Her unpredictability is definitely something he finds attractive.... as long as it doesn't interfere with his plans lol

They are both very strong personalities haha and I love them both.

Its just there is a time and a place for revenge and that wasn't it. Plus I know LBY and the third prince also must have had a plan in how they wanted to reveal the counterfeit money - so I also wonder the downstream effects of that getting revealed so early.

My main issue with today's episode was her not respecting the memorial ceremony. I think with couples having respect and consideration for each other is important and she should have known how important this was for LBY.

The other stuff I agree with. She couldn't have known and this is a good learning opportunity for both of them. LBY to maybe open up more and SS to be a bit more careful in how she operates. Plus revenge against family vs revenge against the imperial family members are at a different level. It's not petty anymore, she could hurt herself, her family and her husband by doing this things she does - which I think any reasonable person should realize (even if they don't want to be told what to do or not). I know shes going to grow up lol, this is just me processing my feeligns right now.

Also Consort Yue is like she is because she is second to only the Emperor. But even she knows when to not push the issue if it hurts the Emperor.

I know!!!!! Realizing how important that seal is how could he even think of giving it away? And he seems to need reassurance and to be guided to do things the strategic way by people who are more capable around him. He definitely doesn't deserve that seal sigh

Agreed, you are right. I don't think she fully trusts him that much yet or even understands him that well yet.

Still processing the last two episodes, these princes and princesses are just exhausting.

Also I'm sad CSS didn't have the foresight to realize disrupting General Hua's memorial would make LBY sad. I get this is part of both their learning curves in adjusting to each other but still today's episodes felt heavy.

Yep... I liked him in the beginning but now that I see more of how he operates he wouldn't be able to lead a country.

Just because someone is family doesn't mean you ignore their misdeeds, not when the stake of a whole nation is at stake and you are supposed to be making decisions for the benefit of all the subjects of that nation. Giving special treatment to family for the sake of family in this context is nepotism (which I realize back in the day probably happened a lot). But in my eyes it shows weakness and its unjust. Because if anyone who isn't family in that situation would have been punished and you let family get away thats plain unfair and ridiculous and if I was a citizen of that country i'd be pissed lol. Plus not punishing people shows that you will let this type of behaviour slide.

Same here, I was also anxious after watching these two episodes.
