Qiqi is using Huan Er. She is so annoying and I'm only on episode 4. Does she get any better?
It's a youth drama with teenage issues in the first part. Yeah, Qiqi isn't a great person, but she'll grow later. There's a chunk where she is present way less.
I agree! I don't think he has been an emperor before, it's a different kind of role and charisma for the positions…
I myself haven't read the novel, but someone who did, explained the basic settings of the story and the characters on the show page. From what I remember: the FL is from a humble family but she's super smart. The emperor saves her life and from that point on she dedicates her life and skills to helping him. She climbs ranks in the court to help the emperor. The emperor likes her and works with her to beter the country. His role includes a slight double role; he will leave the palace from time to time to do some action/missions with the FL that his identity as the emperor doesn't allow. The big conflict isn't a power struggle for the throne, his position is solid. Take this with a grain of salt, this is what I remember reading from the person that read the novel 🙏🏻
I started this since it's highly recommended. The first about 5 episodes were hard to watch, but after after the friend group formed and Zai Zai slowed down her pursuit of Lu Rang, I started to enjoy the show. Now I'm addicted! The usual tropes and huge misunderstandings are not there, and I enjoyed how the main couple's relationship was handled. They got together at the perfect time!
By the way, I think I quite understand why CZY chose this project, because of the male lead character. The emperor…
I agree! I don't think he has been an emperor before, it's a different kind of role and charisma for the positions that he needs to convey. I also read about the plot and the main couple. I think it seems like an interesting setup, not overdone.
Based on the summary, the princess is blind in the beginning. Does this mean she has always been blind and will only be able to see through the new ability of foresight? Or will she gain vision in general along with this ability? Can someone clarify this to me?
I caught up to this show today. It's amazing! The pacing, the characters, the plot... Everything fits so well. I haven't seen the k-drama nor read the webtoon. For me this version stands alone very well without having seen the source material. I like that Japanese dramas are condensed and there aren't that many episodes. I didn't skip one scene, everything was perfect (to me)
To me this was a breezy, feel-good show. If you like the vibe of the first 20+ episodes, you can continue until the end with ease. The story could have been wrapped up in 24 episodes, but I didn't mind it being stretched out since I enjoyed the characters and the vibe.
I like this synopsis! A cunning FL but she is grateful to the ML and is willing to do anything for him. I don't…
I guess we'll see. I think most C-dramas tone down the spice anyway. I think she has more dramas coming up too, so we'll see how much romantic scenes she does in those. I liked the double a lot even thought there weren't many kiss scenes. If the plot is written well, a lot can be forgiven.
I like this synopsis! A cunning FL but she is grateful to the ML and is willing to do anything for him. I don't…
Sounds perfect! There have been so many forced marriage, enemies to lovers dramas recently that this one sounds a little different! I'm a big fan of CZY and the double, so this is the perfect show for me
Synopsis:“The Kingdom as Betrothal Gift” is an ancient romance novel written by Xing Yanyan, originally serialized…
I like this synopsis! A cunning FL but she is grateful to the ML and is willing to do anything for him. I don't think I've seen this setting in a drama in a while. I think the politics will play a big role in this one
I'm on ep10, as the story moving on, i still cant understand the relation between the cases of the fishing doll,…
It will become more and more clear as the characters learn about it too. But basically all the cases are linked to the relics of ill omen. Most of them are also related to the past of one of the five main characters.
Just finished the show. Amazing! The plots were logical and no major plot holes. The characters were fun and everyone had their moment to shine. The genre is really different to a usual C-drama, I loved watching this.
Take this with a grain of salt, this is what I remember reading from the person that read the novel 🙏🏻
