I really hope this gets proper promo! I have seen pictures/teasers at the end of last year for other dramas that are due to air in the coming months. I don't get why they don't promote their own shows... I hope they are perfecting the CGI and make it look amazing before they release the first trailer

The ending gets a full episode, what happens after all the plot points; main couple have children, there's even a time jump several years ahead to show their life as a family. The second couple also stay alive and have a happy ending.

Yes, I like it! The characters have different points of view, which causes conflict. But at this point there isn't stupid misunderstandings etc. and the viewers can see where both ML and FL are coming from.

I get that, as the plot changes a lot from the start of the drama to the end. There are more flashback in one episode toward the end, which didn't make me want to fast forward. Also the last episode was really satisfying! I think the pacing issues may be because it was originally supposed to be 50 episodes long. But due to the new regulations it was cut down to 40. Considering this there weren't noticeable plot holes etc. WOL was my favorite drama of 2023, but it's not everyone's cup of tea for sure

I haven't watched "the legend of Zuohua" yet, but it's on my list to watch because of Jing Tian 🙏 I read some of the comments under the legend of Zuohua, and I have an impression of the general vibe of that show. I watched WOL a few times so I can offer some perspectives: in WOL both the FL and ML are smart and capable characters (no childish/stupid ML/FL). They have a kind of cat and mouse relationship in the beginning and it evolves with the plot. Later on there will be many kiss scenes and the chemistry is very good (that's subjective, but many fans agree). The surrounding plot has a political game with a few sides trying to get their benefits. I would give WOL a shot if you like historical dramas. Of course it's not perfect, but for me the characters were so good, I loved it overall. I will check out the legend of Zuohua soon as it seems to be a good drama as well ❤️

I just started watching this, and so far I love it! It's filmed in Helsinki, Finland and it was nice to see how they portray the city etc. The train had me cackling, but overall I really love it! And seeing the other comments, it's only going to get better ❤️🙏

Yeah I guess... I think he has had a few similar roles such as in s&f6, snow eagle lord. I couldn't connect with those characters well because of the writing and character set up. But he does have a few really good roles under his belt too! I guess I was a little underwhelmed by the whole S&F6 drama after WOL because I loved WOL (and his character especially) so much. But I'm looking forward to his modern dramas because I don't really like fantasy costume dramas that much anyway 😅
