This is worse than I thought - how can so much action be so damn boring
Maybe try something in a similar genre to the dramas you’ve enjoyed before. Have you finished any drama recently? Or it could be that you’re just not in the mood for dramas right now, since your recent watchlist shows you ended up dropping them all.

ok, who is the strongest in this drama?
If I’m not mistaken, a martial arts practitioner is regarded as a deity upon reaching or unlocking a certain realm. I can’t remember how many realms or stages exist in this drama’s universe, but conversations between Langya Wang and Ji Ruofeng, as well as between Li Hanyi and Xie Xuan, imply the possibility of Su Muyu emerging as the sixth deity. So, it seems he’s pretty close.

can someone give me spoilers -1. Dashing youth - seems like childhood friends turn enemies. How r MLs or FLs related…
Story Timeline Order:
Dashing Youth → Blood River → Blood of Youth

1. Dashing Youth was where it all began, focusing on Baili Dongjun and Ye Dingzhi. Su Muyu, Su Changhe, and the assassin organization Anhe were side characters in Dashing Youth, but they became the main focus in Blood River. The characters in Dashing Youth and Blood River belong to the same generation, with Blood River story taking place several years after the events of Dashing Youth.

2. Some characters from Dashing Youth and Blood River reappeared in Blood of Youth as part of the older generation. The main focus, however, shifted to the stories of their children or disciples.

3. I wasn’t sure if Su Muyu and Su Changhe had any disciples, but they didn’t have children (as far as I remember). They appeared briefly as their older selves in Blood of Youth.

The overarching narrative centered on the power struggles within the royal court during the present timeline (Blood of Youth). Although it came last in terms of story timeline, The Blood of Youth novel was actually written first. The protagonist of this story was Xiao Chuhe, the Sixth Prince.

Note: About character reappearances, I’m referring to the story characters, not the actors, since some roles are played by different actors across the dramas.

To those who are watching it or know the answers somehow, please answer:1. Who is the ML and who is the FL?2.…
1. The ML is Su Muyu (Gong Jun), and his love interest is Bai Hehuai (Yang Yutong).

2. Su Muyu and Bai Hehuai share some subtle romantic moments so far, as the story doesn’t focus on romance.

3. The original novel is about brotherhood, not BL.

Mu Yumo, played by Peng Xiaoran, is often listed as the FL due to her higher status compared to Bai Hehuai’s actress. It’s mainly a matter of billing hierarchy. This often leads to confusion, as many are surprised that Mu Yumo doesn’t have a love line with ML. She was implied to have a crush on him in the past, but her actual love line is with Tang Lianyue (Zhang Shi An).

It all started with SCH taking SMYs place as lantern child. Why he did that for SMY and not someone else is unknown.…
Good point. Judging from how Su Changhe has been portrayed so far, he doesn’t appear to be the kind of person who would sacrifice for others without a reason. Then again, perhaps he wasn’t always the same person he is now.

I’ve watched both TU and WOH, and I have no issue with people shipping the male leads. After all, that’s what the story is. But as you said, TU and WOH are adapted from BL novels, while TODR/BR is not. If you want to interpret or fantasize about them that way, that’s fine, but calling out those who don’t share that view just isn’t necessary. It comes across as if you’re trying to force your opinion on others.

I hope they don't kill off Mu QingYang (current head of Mu family) to make Mu Yumu his successor. He's very funny.

If you mainly enjoy action-packed scenes, that’s understandable. I personally like it when they insert some relaxed moments between arcs. They give the story room to breathe and provide contrast, making the dramatic scenes that follow feel even more powerful.

Is it just me who sometimes feels sorry for how SCH is treated by others? I know that other members also have…
I feel sorry for his character too. He seems to be really kind at times, especially when Muyu is around. He also appears to genuinely enjoy the small, simple moments they share, like New Year’s Eve in their youth or the grand opening of the apothecary store in Nan’an. His interactions with Bai Hehuai, Su Zhe, and SMY’s sister also filled with easy, friendly banter without any trace of hostility.

Watching these joyful moments, I also think that disbanding Anhe was the wiser choice just as Li Hanyi said and exactly what Su Muyu had wanted from the start. However, Changhe is very different from Muyu, who simply wants a normal, peaceful life. He's ambitious and has no problem sacrificing others for his cause. It's this ruthlessness that makes people view him in a negative light.

I have no problem with people hyping up a BL couple adapted from a BL story and marketed as such, because that’s exactly what it is. But twisting a brotherhood story into BL, and even hating the FL (the rightful love interest according to the source material) because it doesn’t align with their BL fantasy is really messed up.

Idk if you’ve watched TBOY and DY (the previous two adaptations in the same universe as Blood River), but personally, I think Blood River handles the subtle romance way better than those two. At least Bai Hehuai is introduced early on as the healer for the patriarch, so she already has an important role from the start. Plus, Su Muyu spends time with her while recovering from his injuries, which makes growing attraction feel more believable.

BHH is like a ray of light in SMY’s dark and heavy life. Her cheerful nature brings him warmth, lightheartedness, and a sense of home he can return to. She’s also a very skilled healer, making her incredibly helpful. It seems that some people find her annoying, but since I’ve watched Dashing Youth and seen Yi Wenjun, BHH feels especially lovely to me in comparison.
