I am glad YJ finally decided to put a distance between him and XZY. They really need a change of dynamic in their relationship. It is the same between JH and XS. This separation is the time for both couples to reflect on the faults in their relationships and reconsider each other’s significance in their life. If they feel their life is just fine without the other, they will move on. Otherwise, they will find their way back together with more suitable adjustments to their relationship.
I also really like how XS and XZY, who are seen as the bad guys, now the ones who put the most effort into TY sustainability while everyone else is just leaving. It shows that there is always a fair share of likeable and unlikable sides to everyone. Nobody is perfect.

I think it started when JH fulfilled her promise to pay off the debt (her dad's company debt) to him and his friends even though she was short of money herself, it left a good impression on him. Moreover, YJ already knew JH since long ago, or at least he knew she was XZY childhood classmate (rival). YJ is a kind-hearted person in nature, so seeing JH as a good person in his judgment, facing a lot of problems alone, he wanted to help her. In addition, later JH helped XZY, someone YJ loves as you mentioned, out of the Sangchun art (if I’m not mistaken) stock scandal, and helped her terminate the non-competitive agreement with Aneda as well as her job contract with TT so she could fulfill her dream as a shoe designer immediately. It is a move to benefit TY as well but YJ felt really grateful to her. From then on, their friendship grows stronger naturally. Selling TY is the best option business-wise, TY can potentially grow faster, JH can get a lot sum of money while at the same time still working in TY with less burden since she no longer bears the cost and loss of TY. However, she’s emotionally too attached to TY, so selling it is clearly not an option for JH. But, so far XS doesn’t seem to have any intention to back out. XS are you sureee?? Yes, but it is still plausible because what crucial for XS for now is to save TY from Aneda. The problem is that now Baoxing holds 51% shares. If he purchases that 2% shares now, he will anger his company, Jingyang and Aneda. But if he managed to convince Aneda to acquire another company rather than TY this time, he angers none because the M&A project is still in place, only the target has changed. Then, the next step is to purchase 2% TY shares and make JH the controlling shareholder. Therefore, even if Aneda is interested in aiming for TY again in the future, it’s up to JH whether to sell it or not.
Your option is plausible too, if they can find that someone to conspire with them to do so. Buy Tengyue at a higher price to save it from Aneda for now, then sell it back to JH. It’s a really tricky situation for XS. Each option comes with consequences. Purchasing and transferring 2% shares to JH and making her the controlling shareholder will be the easier option. However, the M&A plan falls through and he will offend Baoxing, Jingyang & Aneda. He may lose his job.
Even if he managed to convince Baoxing not to sell TY to Aneda with the reasoning that TY would outgrow and be more profitable than Aneda in the future, both XS and Baoxing would be seen as unprofessional and unreliable business partners. It will tarnish their reputations.
The only option I can think of without him suffering too much loss is to find another company for Aneda to acquire and convince them that it is the better option. But if the goal of Aneda’s M&A strategy is to gain more market share while at the same time eliminate potential competitors by acquiring growing-small-sized businesses, then it will be difficult if Aneda already sees TY as a potential threat in the future.
Maybe XS can just execute the first option, accept losing his job, and help his mom run the family business as she wishes while helping JH with TY at the same time. Happy ending! 😂
