Completed till episode 14 and my thoughts:I waited almost a year for this Drama and honestly, it's disappointing.…
It seems the director is a bit lazy when it comes to elaborating. I noticed that some supposedly intense and emotional scenes were simplified and cut short, so there's not enough time and catalyst for the audience to be immersed. Maybe a poor editing? or was it the result of following the anime flow? (I don't watch the anime so I have no idea). I also don't think the drama as a whole is that bad. It's still enjoyable for me, especially with the beautiful casts and the CGI. The story gets more interesting too in my opinion. But I understand it's easy to be disappointed due to the high expectations for this drama.
Can someone explain who dongfang luo is? I didn't really watch the donghua.
I saw some comments, including myself asked the same question, but no one answered. I guess he doesn't exist in the og story, so no one knows about him.
Ok, I'm finished with episode 8, and here's my review so far for anyone interested:The Pros:CGI / SetOutfits &…
You're right about the villains. I don't follow the original story so i have no idea how the story will unfold. I'm just wondering whether the black fox lady is the main villain aka the mastermind? If she is, i think they should've kept her identity hidden to keep the suspense.
Pushing him because of.... basically what happened in Ep 30?Even if Li Ni wants to leave all this and go to Laolan…
If it was me, i'll just hand him the throne. He's more capable than me anyway, and the court favors him too. I'm more like Li Ni. I don't think it's worth it. That's why i kind of annoyed every time FL brings it up. Like him, I would prefer a peaceful life away from the palace 😅
I'm new to this series and have been fast-forwarding to catch up with new episodes, so I might've missed some details. I'm captivated by ep 30, power struggles got his comrades killed. Comrades who were more like real brothers to him than the real ones. I couldn't understand FL though, why is she so hell-bent on pushing ML to become the crown prince? Just because she thinks he is the most suitable for the position? Or is there something else? He clearly doesn't want it and prefers a life away from the palace. He even goes as far as abandoning their relationship to show his stance.
