My point is we will never see an MDL article detailing an OTT drama's (Netflix) decrease in popularity over the course of a season while we often see broadcast network's series dragged over ratings decline.

It seems to me that Netflix' Top 10 rankings are useless for any purpose apart from comparing the popularity of two or more different series of any category dropped concurrently within any given week.

You probably find this weird because you care about ratings. I don't. I care about finding quality scripted entertainment worth my time.

I picked this up again after having forgotten why I dropped it. Oh yeah. The ML is a complete idiot running an investigation impulsively on pure emotions fueled with rage. No wonder the corrupt villains laugh in his face, repeatedly. My only curiosity is how this Inspector Clouseau might bumble his way to solve this case? With a lot of help from the supporting cast, I'm certain.

Netflix originals like 'Can This Love Be Translated' deftly avoid this kind of headline by dropping all episodes simultaneously.

I totally forgot to watch the ending but am feeling only a little curious. Did I miss anything especially good in the final episodes?

I just paused mid-ep4 to come here and ask about this. Whether it is due to his athleticism or plot armor (the upcoming love story does not involve a gimp) he is healthy and can still play soccer.

Saving this for another time 'cos I enjoy the sci-fi time travel premise. 20 episodes is a lot in 2026, so I feel daunted.

Surprisingly watchable. Absurd premise, lots of fun, great cast.

There's enough other stuff available to watch that I don't mind leaving this one on the back burner for a while. I'll get to it, eventually. And it's a lot more enjoyable to participate on MDL forums for network shows which release gradually, than it is for an OTT original that drops all episodes at once.

I don't understand why MDL doesn't lock-out a series' rating until all episodes have been marked as watched? Network dramas (with weekly releases) are especially distorted by this. Why not simply allow viewers to rate individual episodes of on-going dramas (like this one)? Only dramas from OTT streamers like Netflix (where all episodes drop in mass) should allow series to be rated on the day of release.

USA has scam awards that ignorant people take seriously, so why not SK? For example, a couple of "journalists" created "The Hollywood Foreign Press" and have been accepting bribes from studios in exchange for "Golden Globes" awards for decades. It's a nice grift for those who thought of it first.

Still waiting a bit longer than we had anticipated for ep 1 to drop. I suspect Netflix is wanting to divert viewers to their original K-series love translated, which was also released today (in full).

I am asking how can you tell? How are you able to discern electronic music composed by a human vs electronic music composed by software? Or orchestral music, whatever? How do you know no humans were paid for their services? Is it because there are no musicians credits at the end of the episodes? Or perhaps are you aware of protests being staged by the musician's union outside of Neflix studios?

I agree. Translating is not just substituting corresponding words.

They should always partner teams of bilingual translators for each language. Eg. A Korean-speaking native English speaker will catch things that the English-speaking native Korean translator will miss, and vice-versa. How else can they find an appropriate idiom?

AI? What do you mean by AI generated music? How is it different from human-generated music? Yesterday I used AI to generate a glossary of words at above 5th grade reading level. Does the music in this drama use a different scale? Like the notes are all weird tones not to be found on a piano? Or did the AI create new electronic instruments so instead of drums or guitar the sounds are like hummingbird wings and farts?
