22.25 million people — nearly 42% of South Korea’s entire population — tuned in for episode 1 of Perfect…
Please help me understand your claim. Where did you get this 22.25m number? According to Nielsen Korea, Perfect Crown episode 1 received a 7.8 rating (8.2 in Seoul) during its initial MBC broadcast, representing approximately 9 million out of SK's 51m total population.
If you are including reruns as well as the initial broadcast, that math would include people who rewatched the premier episode multiple times, and not accurately reflect a percentage of the population. Someone else also posted Disney has streamed over 43 million hours of cumulative watch time globally. This number also includes South Korea.
I completely forgot all about this drama which I had been enjoying so much. I guess I was busy. Anyway, that made the waiting a lot easier. OK, back to my chores. Fighting!
I started this with everyone else, but am still slowly slogging my way through the ending. I'm not criticizing the drama even though I often get frustrated with it & can only watch it in small portions. I have ½ of episode 16 to go. But I can do it. Fighting!
I knew the moment Daebi Mama barged in that hotel room and her face says it all when she looked at GP’s abs…
I knew it from the moment I read her character description while waiting for episode 1 to be released. The production should have put spoiler alerts on their promotional materials!
In ep 1 it was said that the FL is the wealthiest woman in Korea. Her dad must be the wealthiest person. So how big is Castle Group? Bigger than Samsung? Probably. The divisions we know of include cellular, banking, luxury fashion (textiles), jewelry, & makeup. (What did I miss?) And there must be many more—automobiles, agriculture (food), heavy machinery, construction, military-industrial, etc...
So no one's curious how they got the marriage contract that was in the in grand prince's safe in his personal…
No. Because it wasn't always in the safe. The scene where we first saw the safe was when the prince came home, grabbed the contract from a pile and then secured it away.
This is why I had been expecting the release to be a deliberate ploy on their part. But instead we just get the typical lazy scriptwriting, smart-characters-doing-stupid-things-to-move-the-plot-along. Sigh.
